My Wife and I relocated to Cedar Park, TX from out of state a couple of years ago. We needed to re-do our out of date revokable Living Trust for a variety of reasons. Mr. Jackson's paralegal, Leslie, was very responsive and courteous throughout the entire process. Within 1-2 days of my initial contact, Leslie followed up by emailing us a PDF (in-take form) designed to efficiently and accurately capture all of our assets (real estate, bank accounts), including all the required information to complete other parts of the Living Trusting including: directive to physician, medical power of attorney, statutory durable power of attorney. As an added courtesy, Mr. Jackson completed the necessary special warranty deeds for our two properties that referenced our old/out dated Trust. In advanced of our signing at their Cedar Park office, Mr. Jackson provided us an editable draft of the entire revocable living trust for correctness and completeness which turned out to be quite helpful because some changes had taken place since our initial completion of Mr. Jackson's in-take PDF form 3-4 weeks prior to our signing appointment. All of this was completed in a total of 4-5 weeks (from the completion of our initial in-take PDF and draft review) as promised. Please read the attached screenshot of an email Mr. Jackson sent me today. This will show you the kind of person Mr. Jackson is. As stated in my previous review, I think that they are very unprofessional and confrontational, but I will let you make your own judgement. It took Jackson Law roughly 1 year to complete the job that my family entrusted to them after my grandmother passed away. In my opinion they acted confrontational to my father (who is a retired Colonel in the Air Force) throughout the entire process. As an active duty service member myself I find it very disappointing that people would act so unprofessional and unkind. After an almost 50-year troubled marriage with Kids grown and gone, my Wife now wanted to ruin me and the business I had worked single handedly to build. I was referred to Justin Jackson by a friend and was happy to find I could afford his retainer and moved forward. My Ex-wife wanted more than a 60/40 split of the estate since I had financially supported her throughout the marriage. She hired an overly aggressive female attorney telling her they would take me to the cleaners. I spent days, weeks, and months filling out the volumes of information that was being requested of me by opposing council, all the while bilking my ex out of money that we didn't have only trying to better her firms financial condition. She would always bring at least one, if not more paralegals to help run the clock. Justin handled them single-handedly. She could not have had anybody's best interest in mind but her own, knowing the weak facts of the case she wanted to present. I must admit I was a little concerned when it did not seem like we were pushing back with as much paperwork as they were, but I realize now Justin knew where to best spend my time and money. So, court day came and none of the personal rhetoric was heard by the Judge, it was all petty stuff anyway, the Judge knew it was just about the money. It all came down to appraisals and bank accounts. Justins presentation, quick thinking and math skills helped me to win my case for less than what we offered the other side at mediation. We settled the case in court with a fair 50/50 division of the assets. Opposing council became flustered in court and obviously couldn't keep up with Justins presentation skills, so Justin was asked to draw up the divorce decree by the Judge. Please read the bad reviews before you hire Mr. Jackson. The bad reviews are all TRUE! Went in for a consultation with Mr. Jackson and he said this was a easy case and he would easily get me everything I wanted in my child custody case. I paid Justin in full and walked out confident. Well... after a week things started going downhill fast. I would send out 4-5 Emails and then he would respond That he doesn't know the answer. We were suppose to meet in person a week before mediation but he was always too busy to meet so had to settle for a quick 10 mins phone call. I could tell he was distracted with something else because I would ask a simple question and he would stay quiet then start talking about something else. He knew nothing about my case. He never asked for any paperwork or evidence. When he said okay see you at mediation I'll bring your folder with me.... I thought to myself what exactly is in that folder if you have never asked for any paperwork???? Are you just going to bring an empty folder with Just my receipt where I paid you????? At mediation Justin was on his phone or on the lap top the whole time. When the mediator would ask a question he'd rumble around acting too look for something and then answer the question then ask me if that was correct? Justin I am not attorney I do not know if that is correct! That is why I hired you! My "Easy" case didn't result the way I wanted. I got nothing I wanted. Please do not waste your time or money! I would highly recommend the Jackson Law Firm for divorce advice. I found Mr. Jackson to be a very easy person to talk to and explained everything in a way that I could understand. My ex-husband and I were trying to file and complete our divorce decree ourselves but ran into trouble when it came to spousal support. I qualified for it since we had been married more than 20 years and other factors, but it was complicated as my ex-husband had a job with a base salary and commission each month. There was also a personal loan between us as he was buying me out of our home and there was no where on the template we were using for something like that. We agreed to a flat-rate that would only change if we had to go to court. Since we were in the middle of COVID and doing everything remotely, I didn't think that would be a problem. The flat-rate meant I could call and email whenever I needed something explained to me or added/removed from our decree. They responded within 24 hours each time I contacted them with a question and many times within a few hours. Trust me when I say I have no hesitation recommending them. read more

I hired Myron Kamihara with the Jackson Law Firm in 2022 to help finalize my hotly contested divorce as I was dissatisfied with my prior attorney at another firm. I was two years into a chaotic divorce process that seemed like it would never end. I was at my wits end! Everything was complicated and stressful - supervised visitation requirements, community vs separate property, a volatile opposing party acting without the counsel of an attorney, etc. Myron agreed to take my case and stepped in right away. He has been amazing throughout the process and beyond. He is always patient and understanding, empathetic, and took the time to relate to me as a person and explain things in simple terms that I could understand. As a non-lawyer there were many things I didn't understand or misunderstood and Myron took the time to answer my questions an clear up any confusion. On occasions when I was frustrated and overwhelmed he was calm and level headed and helped me stay calm and composed. He has always been straightforward and realistic and never dismissed my questions or inputs or given me false hope. Divorce isn't easy, it's super stressful and overwhelming and confusing and frustrating. Myron eliminated so much of that for me by listening, explaining, displaying empathy, and serving as an intermediary managing conversations with my ex in a non-hostile and non-emotional way. His counsel was absolutely invaluable to me. As with any divorce not everything went my way - that was expected. But I know Myron and his team fought for me and what was right and went above and beyond to research case law, find examples to support my case, and write a detailed brief in support of our stance. Our court dates were extremely challenging to say the least with the opposing party interrupting, going off topic, yelling, name-calling, and even storming out of the court room. I hired the Jackson Law Firm to represent me in a divorce that began as no contest but become complicated and contentious. Mr. Kamihara was my lawyer and Leslie was the paralegal I worked most closely with. Both of them generally responded very well to my inquiries about the process, answered my questions with patience, and responded to my almost bi-weekly emails asking for updates. Mr. Kamihara even responded to a pressing need I had in December while on vacation with his family in Hawaii, half a world away! My ex fled the state during our proceedings and they worked very hard to get them served the paperwork by out of state process servers and were always compassionate about the limited nature of my finances while we processed through the divorce proceedings. While the divorce took a lot longer than anticipated, primarily due to court delays and back ups, I am overall happy with my service. It was sometimes hard to get in contact with the team, but that was only towards the end when I just don't think they had any updates as the judge took a long time to get to the paperwork and there was no update to give me. The law office allowed me to pay up front for my legal services for a discounted rate and while it was hard to come up with the amount at one time, it was nice to know that the flat rate had already been paid and I wasn't constantly getting billed more and more as things took longer and longer. All and all, while the process seemed to stretch forever, I was actually able to hire Mr. Kamihara and get the divorce done in just seven months [almost to the day from hire-final decree] which from my understanding is much quicker than most of these proceedings can take. read more

Everything was great, at first.... Mr. Jackson was very attentive to answering my questions and emails very quickly. Once I was near the end of settling my divorce case, the responses I received became more and more spaced out, almost as if my case didn't matter anymore. Almost as if because i wasn't going to pay any more $ to do mediation, as Mr. Jackson suggested, my time wasn't important because I didn't want to fight my ex and pay additional mediation or court fees.
