Recently rented 4388 Carolina Cove Way, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 there was an HVAC problem when we arrived, they claim to have a technician look at the system while we were at dinner (did not happen). Spent the night sweating, today the indoor temperature climbed to 85 and they expected us to sit and wait "hoping" the A/C would start working with a small child and dog. We had to find another rental last minute for the safety of the puppy and child. They refuse to refund or provide an alternate rental as a good company or owner should do. And provided an insulting refund offer for one night while system is still not cooling. Other than the A/C issue during a heat advisory, the bathroom sinks filled up and drained very slowly there is mold growing on and around the HVAC unit itself, we wouldn't have mentioned or complained about anything if they would've actually done something about how hot it was. read more

We stayed at the Whispering Pines in Pigeon Forge- There was no parking pass left for us and when I called the number provided they told me it could be a $600 fine. I was then told to write on a paper my unit number and how long I'm staying and put it on the dash of my car. Done. Also, requested multiple times that I DID NOT want anyone in our room while we are not there. Went to dinner and they came in our room, and nothing was really done about it. I thought that once we had a code NO ONE else could get in but I was told that maintenance has their own code for entry!!! I was surprised by that and am now missing my iPods? Just left the cabin yesterday, we had a horrible experience, no communication, the hot tub has not been working for a while and that was never communicated, the listing says sleeper sofa, there was no sleeper sofa, we had one person on the floor, the cinema seats reclined but had no foot rests, the WiFi was out all week so our large party could not communicate with each other if we split up to do excursions, they kept saying they would send someone but never did, they offered us a reimbursement that equaled $23 per day, that was an insult! 1 Star -- Disgusting Conditions and Terrible Customer Service I am absolutely disgusted with this rental company. I paid thousands of dollars for this stay, and when I arrived, the property was filthy. It was obvious that no proper cleaning had been done before my arrival.. something that should be the bare minimum for any rental, especially at this price point. I contacted the company immediately and took videos and photos at arrival and was told the property manager would call me that night and that someone would be sent over. No one ever showed up. The only action they took was sending a cleaning crew: something that should have been done BEFORE any guests arrived, not hours after I checked in and had to see the condition for myself. To make matters even worse, I was told there would be no refund, and that I was basically out of luck and expected to stay there despite the disgusting state the property was left in. The complete lack of accountability and customer care is shocking. This entire experience has been stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. For the amount of money I paid, I should never have been put in this situation. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. My Father Booked through Jackson Mountain Rentals a 5 bedroom house in Gatlinburg. One month before we were leaving the owners were selling. Jackson Mountain Rentals rerouted us to a 6 Bedroom house in Sevierville Mountain High Cinema. This house had problems and some reimbursement of some money should have been made. - under kitchen sink was loaded with mouse droppings. - half way down stairs was a foul smell of what we thought was sewer. It wound up being a DEAD MOUSE. - floors in the living room under side tables has several bugs under them. - hot water heater not working good. If two people take a shower, next person has no hot water. - the Cinema room Remote control did not work so we could not watch TV. - the WIFI for all TVs kept winding and was difficult to watch TV most of the time. - TV in the game room did not work. - two beds in two separate rooms were sagging in the middle. BEWARE! I Just booked a room for memorial day vacation last night and have had nothing but problems. They bombard you with a ton of emails with all kinds of threatening language in it. The a required cleaning fee they tell you after the fact, a $1500 deposit. Waiver tells you left a right about stealing from you. Says sign the waiver or you forfeit the money you've paid, no refunds. Bold face says you're going to sign this of we're going to rob you. Who TF do you folks think you'll are. I guarantee you're not going to steal from me and get away with it! So then I called them and a Kiwanis answers. She asked whats going on and I causally said "yeah I need to talk to someone about all the crazy S4!+ in this waiver", I wasn't mean or anything. She starts saying "you're not to talk to me like that". I asked, "relly? How do I talk to someone else cause you obviously have an attitude. She tells me to hang up and call back so I did. Guess who answered? BINGO ol Kiwanis! "Wow you answered again thought I was getting someone else" she asked how could she help? I told her I didn't want to talk to her cause she was extremely rude because she didn't like a minor little word I was I no way negative to this woman at any point. So how do I get someone else? She completely ignores me and ask how she could help. I said by getting me to someone else to talk to, your rude im not talking to you. COMPLETELY ignores me again and asked how she could help? REALLY...... the same thing got said 4 times in a row, until I eventually get disconnected. Update I booked a cabling for memorial day. Then they send way to many email. One of which says you have to sign a waiver, which is normal no big deal WRONG- the waiver is full of threatening language saying you have to pay additional fees for cleaning but doesn't tell you how much. There's also a $1500 deposit. Says if you don't do this you forfeit your payment. So I paid close to a grand for 3 days and they change the terms after the fact. You can legally take payment and they say now you got to do this this and that or we're going to keep them money. Thats borderline strong arm robber. That how the Mafia does thing maybe they own the place. When I called to talk to someone about the waiver an extremely rude girl, Kiwanis answered. After she was extremely rude i informed her I wasn't dealing with her anymore and I needed to talk to someone else. She advised to hang up and call back so I did. She answered the phone again. I told her we'll that didn't work so well how do I talk to someone else? She says how many I help you. I said you were extremely rude a few minutes ago and im not dealing with you how do I get someone else. To which she replies, How may I help you..... she continued that charade 4 or 5 times completely ignoring me. I asked her several times are you going to answer my question or you just going to continue to completely ignore me? She choose option B every time so I disconnected the call. At this point I have zero desire to stay at the place their reviews are horrible, shame on me for not checking. I called back this morning and was advised to call hotels.com for the refund. They call JMR to approve the refund. They guy comes back and says Stewart's boss Tracy S denied the refund. I call JMR back and ask for Tracy S, I was told she will call me back. A little while latter I noticed a notification from Verizons call filter showing a number that was rejected several times as spam. Looked the number up and its them. What reputable company has their number blocked and flagged by a major provider? Tracy S denied she told them that but she said I had to call them for a refund. I said that kind of pointless if youre going to deny it to which she claimed she hadn't and wouldn't. Called Hotels.com told them and I waited on hold for 25min for Hector to come back and say the refund was denied. I asked who denied it?..... good ol Tracy S is who he said. I then sent a message that came back with a response telling me it had been reviewed and denied. Approximately a hour later I got an email asking me to cancel the booking and the would review it. Was it reviewed or not? I think they're just trying to get me to cancel so they can keep my $900+ and rent the cabin to the next person. This company has not done anything to have earned any money and has no excuse to not refund it. The room is for the week after next, it was booked for less than 24hrs before I got a bad feeling about them and tried to get a refund. My family stayed at the Majestic View III two years ago and absolutely loved it. We came back again in July 2025. Beautiful views, super clean and the rental process was super easy. The staff was friendly from start to finish. We got locked out of the bedroom and called for assistance. The kind gentleman Boomer came and helped us and was very kind and professional. He came quickly and resolved the issue quickly. The kids loved seeing the Mamma Bear and her cubs walk down the street and through the woods. Great for a family getaway. Well stocked with plate, glassware, cooking items, and other utensils. Would highly recommend. read more

Poolin' Around Cabin: October 2025 1. They 'declined' the door keypad code after giving it to us a week before. When I called because the code didn't work, I was told that there was 'no credit card on file for incidentals.' What? They had the card info I used to pay for the cabin. No mention that they needed it again. 2. Indoor pool on the lower level. Water temp 75 degrees and no way to warm it up. Too cold to use. 3. Hot tub had been turned down to 80 degrees. Took an entire day to get it warmed up. 4. The garage door on the lower level that opens to the patio was left about 6 inches open when we got there. No telling how much wildlife had been coming in and out of the cabin. Anyone who walked up could have just raised the door and walked in! 5. The rug and sofa in front of the fireplace smelled like dog urine when we got there. I told them about it and was told that they would 'send someone out.' Never happened. 6. On the second day, the door keypad failed to open when we returned to the cabin. They gave us the code to access the actual key and again said someone would be out to fix the lock. Never happened. 7. Ever try to remove a pan from the oven with no pot holders? Not one to be found in the kitchen. 8. The dishwasher door will attack you. It won't stay up unless latched, and it won't stay down without the lower rack pulled out and loaded. read more

BEWARE of Angel's View Cabin in Gatlinburg and Jackson Mountain Rentals. The cabin was knowingly rented to us with a beetle infestation (see a review I found in 2020 that mentions the issue). Called the first night upon our arrival of our 3 days stay and again the 2nd and 3rd day- not once did they come to the cabin or clean up the massive amount of beetles all over the cabin, nor did they offer to move us to a non-infested cabin. I had to sweep the beetles off the floors to even walk around the cabin multiple times per day. Rude manager who refused to escalate past her (Kristy), refused to refund the cleaning fee. After speaking with 6 different people, Kristy offered only a 10% refund and stated " this refund is the end and this call is the end of this". I have emailed the company and no response to date (2 weeks now). I would highly recommend finding any other cabin to rent. BEWARE! 01/02/25- Received a comment on this review - the only communication from the company despite phone calls, emails - none have been returned. It has still not been resolved to my satisfaction - not even returning a cleaning fee of a cabin that is infested is a bad management. Wish I could give negative stars! We booked a condo at Mountain View condo unit 5402. Our vacation was supposed to be from 3-29-2026 to 4-42026 for our family spring break with our 4 children! We discovered this unit was completely infested with bed bugs after my wife children and I all woke up with bites! They brought an inspector in with a dog and confirmed they were in all three rooms and have been there for awhile! This place would not help us at all other than give us our money back! We lost over half of our vacation because they refused to help us move to another unit. My children were heart broken due to this is our only vacation of the year! I am highly allergic to bed bugs and had to go to the doctors. This place wont pay for that or any other loss we incurred by booking with them! If you book here just know they wont stand behind there product even if it means ruining your vacation! read more

We stayed at Always an Adventure for 4 nights and the house was generally quite nice. Large rooms, a fun media area with games and a movie room, large open kitchen, etc. The house is quite secluded which can be nice to feel a bit remote. Although, you can clearly hear busy traffic from the road which is not visible, but definitely audible from the deck. The view was quite nice. Where our experience wen't wrong is there were several areas of damage to the house at arrival: one of the couches in the media room had broken wood on the back of it, the stairs to the basement were separating and close to falling apart, there was damage to the countertops (chunks missing, cracks) that wasn't disclosed, and the hot tub was not operable. Most of this we were fine to let slide since the house left us with plenty of space. We did contact Jackson Mountain Homes about the hot tub as that was one of the big reasons we booked this cabin. They were falsely responsive, saying they sent technicians out, but we never saw them and the issue was never resolved. When we contacted JMH on our final day, the representative on the phone said we would receive a refund for part of that due to the disappointing nature of the hot tub not working, but JMH never followed up on that or sent us the partial refund. When we contacted them about this, they denied that they offered that refund (convenient since they offered it over the phone with no written coorespondence), and claimed that they did fix it when, in fact, it was never done and they refused to admit that. Altogether, we generally had a good trip, but this put a very sour taste in our mouth as the end of our vacation. Would not recommend booking through this company as they do not value their customers. read more

Our cabin was dirty, the pullout couch was broken AND had filthy sheets covered in bugs & blood spots. After 2 calls, they finally DROPPED OFF new sheets & mattress cover inside our front door while we were out for the day! After all the money I paid I wasn't going to change the dirty and possible bug infested sheets myself!! Took me 2 more calls & losing my temper before they sent someone out to check for bedbugs and to strip the sheets and replace them. Never did fix the pullout so it was in the way for the entire stay. Company never extended any discount for the inconvenience OR the condition of the cabin. Will NEVER rent from them again! Trust me, choose one of the many other companies to rent from if you are visiting the BEAUTIFUL area of Gatlinburg, TN. This horrible company really put a damper on our family vacation. read more

We stayed at a cabin identified as Sweet Blessings. The good aspects were the view and the location. This cabin is a short drive from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains NP. The deck is nice - see my photos. It has an excellent view, especially in the evenings in clear weather. You can hear, and sometimes see, a lot of birds. We had some good evenings here drinking bourbon on the deck. However, there were some problems. This property needs substantial maintenance. I will start with trash. The property, although beautiful, is strewn with garbage. There was trash in the bear proof trash receptacles the entire time we were there. Next, there were a lot of bugs including a roach that crawled across me as I was watching a video on my laptop. This doesn't stress me much, but it may bother some. The furniture is worn and in some cases not fully functional and not particularly comfortable. Time to upgrade. The most significant issue is the stench of sewage present from the start of our stay. We initially thought it might just be mold and ignored it. The smell was strongest in the first floor bedroom. It got so bad our third night that I had to call the management company. They responded and did something about because it smelled better when we got back to the cabin after a day hiking in the NP, it smelled better, but not sewage free. I would suggest maybe resolve this issue and maybe otherwise upgrade the cabin. read more

JMR created a review for my stay and gave it a 5 star rating. Based on the following it was NOT a 5 Star. If you look at their website ALL the reviews are 5 Star. They scan thru the info given to them from their customers and pull out whatever they want to in order to make it appear to be 5 star. NOT RIGHT Issues Glass table tops in screened in porch area were very dusty (you could write your name in the dust) Had dead bugs on table top and glass rings from prior guests. Area rug was disgustingly dirty. Did not appear to have been vacuumed. Stairwell railing were sticky and you could scrape the dirt off with you fingernail. Corners of screened in porch area on railings and floors had cobwebs and dead bugs. Oven not working had to call maintenance could not use over for a day. We arrived to chalet at 4pm (as instructed) and the door code would not work. When I called they made comment about the cleaning had been done but the code not activated and it should have been. Was NOT informed that we needed a pool pass and there was none to be found in the chalet. Had to wait until next day before a pass was delivered and the kids missed out on a night of pool time. Light over ping pong table was not working. Found that the bulb was broken off and had to call maintenance. In the future it would be nice to know how to scare off bears. We had 13 bear sightings and they were visiting our cars. My 16 year found a long bug in her bunk 5 out of 8 of us had bug/spider bites all over our legs. My wife was really bad she had several pea size bumps on her legs full of fluid. There was a lot of issues but I will compliment the staff that answered the phones. They were very friendly. However the internal communication behind the scenes needs to be evaluated. Every time I was told that someone will call me back NOT never happened. After cancelling on half of our families reservation (you read that right, the COMPANY cancelled the reservation the day before we were leaving!) they refused to allow us to cancel the 2nd or even give a credit for a time when we could get the rest of the family to go. Stayed at Aspen's Envy cabin @ Jackson Mountain Rentals fabulous view. Customer service before check in was very good. After we checked in we needed a few items. Customer service went from a 5 start to a 1 star. We were told they couldn't accommodate our requests, since they don't help out after the first 24 hours since they are not a resort. However, when on the website it simply stated they are a resort. Also, there is a very strong raw sewage smell on the property. We could not enjoy the outdoors due to the strong odor!!! Rented a cabin on Sept 19-21. We go to the cabin use the restrooms and went to play two rounds of pool went back down stairs for bed, we go into the master bedroom and we see bed bugs crawling on the walls behind the bed and saw one actually on the bed. I immediately gather all my belongings and call the facility sent pics and videos and the man I talked to that night stated wouldn't be no problem to get our money back because we had to leave the home. We left called back to the facility that morning to follow up and she stated they had pest control go out there and they didn't find anything. After we sent them pics and videos of the room and you can see plainly it was there cabin not just a random pic.. they closed the case and left us hanging. And one of those women that I talked to was so rude and pretty much accused us of lying when we had videos. I just want my money back cause we didn't get to stay on count of the bed bugs they need to make it right with us.. Plus, we was taking our son which has Fragile X syndrome with autism that don't get to do nothing cause we can't just take him anywhere.   It's very sad they couldn't give our money back when we didn't even get to stay one night at this cabin and it cost almost $1700.  He has a mind of 4-6 yr old but he is 33yrs old.   I do have videos and pics I can send.. It's about a 20 minute ride to Gatlinburg and the main entrance to the national park. Most importantly, if you want to see bears stay on Cobbly Nob! We saw more bears on this property than we saw in the Smoky Mountain National park! The rug in the common area was duck tape down and the dozen cords coming from the tv were a tangled mess. The last night we learned nothing in the game room worked that needed electricity not even the tv. We come to Gatlinburg every December for family vacation 15+ people from multiple states. Jackson Mountain is not a company we will ever use again!!! They changed the door code on us last minute, did not receive an email nor text. Our children got there before us and couldn't get in. And lack of service I wasn't able to call where we were at. We called multiple times a day for issues. Baby gates were ALL BROKEN...with 4 grands under 3 yrs old baby gates are a necessity!!!!! Hot tub didn't work, they stated maintenance would come and there's a ticket in for repairs. Maintenance never came. TV's not working, remote controls not working. Shower with the jets was broken and unusable. Jetted tub in one of the bedrooms we had to use pliers to get it on and off.(knob's broken). Cleanliness was mediocre! We had to rewash dishes as they were put away dirty. There were no brooms to use to sweep up the nasty on the floors. We requested the trash outside be emptied as it was full, a ticket was stated to be put in. Kind of hard to keep bears away when you can't keep trash emptied so it isn't overflowing! And their 2 parking space maximum is a joke! They do not enforce it and our children couldn't unload with their babies due to the cabin next to us using our space and their spaces with 5 big Trucks and SUVs. My response below to Jackson Mountain Rentals reply on Google Review... It looks like we reached out multiple times for a credit card on file for any incidentals per our policy. Since we were unable to reach you, the door code was changed since you did not follow the policy. My response to the statement above... Jackson Mountain reached out via text on 12/7/23 and via email 12/9/23, and on 12/10/23 @ 1:01PM I called Jackson Mountain and gave them a credit card to use for "incidents per your policy". I received the door code via your guest portal within 10 mins. I also took a screenshot on 12/12/23 @ 9:48AM from your Guest Portal of the door code and shared with my family not traveling with us. The door code on 12/10/23 and 12/12/23 were the exact same. On 12/13/23 @ 4:20PM door code would not work and our check in time was 12/13/23 4:00PM. I am unsure why Jackson Mountain Rentals needed to change it and then state inaccurate information. I also see that you called about parking, and we advised you that there was very limited parking but provided you with overflow parking options. My response to the statement above... I stated, "The parking is a joke and you do not enforce it, as our neighbors were using our space and their space." Kind of hard to park 2 vehicles when the neighbors are using your parking. In addition, we had to utilize the overflow parking. The only other thing that was reported to our 24/7 Guest Services Team was the hot tub and trash pickup request. I do see that our local maintenance team came out within 24 hours to address these requests for you. My response to the statement above... Jackson Mountain was called 12/13/23 @ 8:48PM concerning the hot tub not working, after more than 24 hours of maintenance not showing up and the hot tub not working we called again. My daughter called on 12/15/23 before 4:00PM and was told they would not speak to her; they would only speak with to me. I called 12/15/23 @ 4:22PM concerning the hot tub still not working. On 12/16/23 @ 1:50PM the hot tub was FINALLY fixed. That does not add up to a 24hr maintenance team coming out and addressing this request. read more

We stayed at a property managed by this company July 21st and 22nd as a mini family vacation. The property its self is nice. During our stay the property management was very attentive initially There were only 2 poolsticks and one was broken when we checked. We notifed the property management and they sent 4 more pool sticks. We had a pyrex dish blow up in my face while in the oven amd they sent someone out to clean it up. When we left though the company reached out amd charged us 200 dollars for items we didn't even mess up They said there was stains to the loveseat that sat in the corner. The pictures they provided had small almost invisible areas we could barely see. They also said we broke a fan remote. The picture of the remote only had the back off it. We never even used that fan remote. When i called one of their employees said that it could have been from the previous renters and that they were evicted. She said they would check on it amd that these owners were new. I didt realize i needed to examine every piece of furniture with a magnifying glass. they emailed me back to let me know these charges would be final. Dont stay with this company. I find that funny that you say it was serviced because when we called back Thursday, they had to put another ticket in and we were told nobody had been out yet. Those portables had been set up well prior to our arrival as this was NOT a new issue when we got there (we were verbally told this information by an employee). The ONLY time we had contact with any maintenance crew was the day of our arrival. If someone did actually come out to look at it, your office should have known about it AND follow up should have been made with your renters like was stated when we checked in AND called the first time. It's a shame that instead of just owning up to the mistake (or maybe learning how to fix issues in a more timely manner) you make excuses and throw things back to the renters being the issue. read more

We rented a condo for 5 people at your Smoky MTN Dream in January 2024 for almost $1000.00 for September 2024. We find a new place every year to stay for our sisters weekend and if we really like the place we keep going back. The night before we were to leave we called to let them know we were having a natural disaster in our area. "Hurricane Helene". We asked if we could reschedule or get a refund. We were told no way. We didn't take out the insurance to cover it. We had all plans to go until we started seeing heavy rains then the hurricane hit. And in case you haven't heard, the road we would have been on was washed out almost completely. I think because of that, it should have been enough to at least reschedule. I know a lot of people that go to Pigeon Forge all the time and stay overnight. They won't be staying there I assure you. I think it sucks that you couldn't accomodate us especially as big as your company is. And believe me I will tell about our experience to anyone and everyone I can. We rented a cabin the nights of 4/13, 4/14, and 4/15. The bear proof trash container was not anchored (as required by law) and was knocked down the front lawn into my truck resulting in $3,800 worth of damage. It also bit a chunk out of the hot tub cover. When I gave the rental company/cabin owners the opportunity to remedy the situation, they declined and asked to have an attorney contact their attorneys. I would NOT book this cabin (Peyton's Hideaway) or go through this company if you care about your vehicle or family. See the attached photo. read more

We stayed in their Barely Hidden cabin in Gatlinburg. The driveway was like a roller coaster going straight down; turning right out of the driveway was treacherous. We were thankful the road wasn't very busy. The handrail going into the basement was filthy. I used 2 disinfecting wipes on it and they were both filthy. That made me question the cleanliness of the house. The primary bedroom is in the basement, which is not stated in the ad. I have bad knees and wouldn't have booked this cabin if I had known that. The kitchen was not adequately furnished as stated, plus there was no where to sit to eat. Looking at Jackson mountain homes website I was surprised that all of the reviews were 5 star. When I tried to leave a poor review, it would not allow me to submit it. When I changed it to 5 stars, it went through. However, they probably won't post it because my comments were not complimentary. I do not recommend this cabin, nor do I recommend doing business with this company. read more

I will never use this company to book our vacation again. We rented a cabin with mountain views. We rented it for 6 days for around 8 thousand dollars. When we got to the cabin, I noticed tight away that there were a ton of safety hazards. The 2nd floor porch had a hole in it and the wood around itnwas soft. I immediately called Jackson mountain homes and let them know. They said someone would be out the next day. We had to keep the children inside. The next day came and gone without anyone coming by or calling. I called that Wednesday and let them know that Noone came by. I was told that our house was a safety hazard and we would need to be moved that same day. They sent me an email with 2 houses to chose from. Both houses were exactly the same and side by side. I let them know that we would need time to pack everything up, unpack the fridges and cabinets. Because of this 3 hour process we missed all our tickets to the Hatfield and Mccoy show. Once we get to the new house it really went down hill. This house was no mountain views at all. In fact we faced a run down apartment complex were the residents were on their balcony smoking pot. Trash was everywhere on the ground and in the trees that were between us and the apartments. The Hot tubs were not working or safe. The kitchen was not equipped to cater for a family of 20. I had 2 family members leave early and I have cried the remainder of our trip. Jackson mountain homes contacted me and said they would refund 493 dollars for our inconvenience. I am still in shock and beyond disappointed. I have used them for the past 4 years until this week. Imagine waiting 13 months for your yearly vacation to be treated like garbage. read more

This was our first - and LAST - time staying at one of the Jackson Mountain Homes properties. We reserved "Hummingbird Hideaway" for two nights over Memorial Day Weekend for our anniversary. I was happy to see that they had keyless entry available which meant we did not have to go someplace to check in. Upon arrival at 8:00 at night, the code sent to us didn't work. We spent 15 minutes on hold trying to get someone on the phone. She brushed it off with a simple, "Oh, sometimes they forget to change the code. Try this one." The code she gave us worked, but I was ill at ease knowing that we were using the same code as the people who had JUST CHECKED OUT. We got into the cabin, unpacked and decided to use the hot tub. After much searching, we realized that we had only been allotted TWO TOWELS in the ENTIRE cabin. TWO TOWELS - with a hot tub on the pack porch, this was hardly sufficient. We called customer service AGAIN and she said that since this was a two-person occupancy cabin, that's all we got. "But, there IS a washer and dryer in the property." Great - considering they didn't provide ANY laundry detergent and I hadn't packed any for a TWO DAY TRIP. She said she would have housekeeping bring some more towels and laundry detergent in the morning. They ended up leaving two additional towels on the front porch but NO DETERGENT as promised. (As a side note, the hot tub had a film on it so we didn't get back in.) There were gigantic black ants in the master bathroom upstairs - what started as one or two upon check-in turned into a DOZEN by the time we checked out 36 hours later. It looked like they were coming up from under the linoleum. If you think Hummingbird Hideaway looks romantic, renter beware. The master bedroom is an upstairs loft with a beautiful picture window directly across from it. This would be great if it had a mountain view. However, I could stand at the foot of the bed and look out the window and SEE the neighbors grilling on their back porch. And since there's no door, you'd better be careful using that lovely little indoor jetted tub lest the neighbors see your backside. Speaking of neighbors, the properties are so close together that we had to listen to their AWFUL music blaring the first night we were there. The second night, we had new neighbors and it sounded like they were having a conversation in my living room. The view is sub par, and overall, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the response from the company. I was not going to write a scathing review, but after filling out their "survey" and not hearing anything back for a week, I gave up on them reaching out to make this right. We spent $500 for two nights in a cabin that was less than mediocre - renter beware!! read more

We stayed at the magical moments 407 in gatlinburg. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The ONLY 2 complaints I had is it was super cold in the house constantly and the bottom of the driveway was a pain in my butt! Backing down and out wasn't a big deal but if you are coming in and making a left ITS AWFUL! I literally go my car stuck and thought I was going to have to go get the neighbors to help me. I bottomed out and I just had to gun it off of the hump... so I just drove to the next driveway to turn around and in from the right the rest of the trip. The BEST part was seeing a bear right next to our cabin! Every other night we seen a bear between 6 and 8pm! That made my entire vacation! The house was stocked with everything we needed, it was clean, and the kids never got bored. The pool was nice. Not huge but you aren't there to swim! This cabin is the very first cabin and it's all on its own which was great! But walking to the pool was a workout!!! Lol straight uphill! But the kids loved walking it... me not so much. So, thank you! We had a blast! read more

We have used Jackson Mountain Rentals in the past and didn't have problems UNTIL THIS YEAR. There were 10 of us which did not include small children or pets. We believe in integrity and accountability which is why this incident was very personal for us. Jackson Mountain has accused us of damaging property (interior lock of a closet with a key pad lock) in the cabin, Parkside Lodge. No locks or doors were damaged at the beginning, during, or the end of our stay. We dispute their "inspection" and have requested a full report, including pictures, and witness statements of the damage. We look forward to an opportunity to dispute this legally, as well. We have utilized Jackson Mountain Rentals on several occasions and follow rules/policies completely. We did not attempt entry into restricted areas, such as this indoor assumed locked door, as those would not be needed. If we would have accessed the door or area, we would have contacted the property of any noticed damage. We accessed the bedroom areas (not interior locked doors), bathrooms, game room, kitchen, laundry, movie room, and common living area. We did not access the hot tub either. We have 10 witnesses to these accesses that are available to provide sworn statements. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, do not book with these people as you would need to thoroughly inspect the cabin, including pictures, as soon as you get there...then complete another inspection, including pictures, upon departure. I would suggest a video, as well, if you already have a reservation and can't cancel. We will NEVER use them again and highly suggest you do not either. There are other rental companies. read more

We went a few years ago, just me, my husband, 2 year old, and baby number two in my belly. It was so easy to get to. The cabin was very nice. Loved the bedroom and whirlpool tub (pregnant me couldn't use the outside hot tub, but my husband did). About 15-20 drive from main attractions. I wish I could give a review on the company website to help future travelers prepare. This review is for Sugar Plum, but I imagine the much of this could translate to the company as a whole. The cabin was...meh. Do not expect any special touches. Only the very basics are provided. I did not feel like a valued guest. Here is what we were provided for an 8 night stay where we planned to cook most of our meals and enjoy the hot tub frequently: There was a coffee pot, but no coffee filters. No baking pans. No cutting boards. 2 spoons and 3 forks were provided. 2 rolls of very thin TP (fortunately I was prepared with my own). 4 towels. 2 dishwasher pods. 2 garbage bags. One kitchen towel for drying both hands and hand-washed dishes. It was not advertised that the fireplace was aesthetic only. It provided no heat. There were instructions to keep the heat at 65 degrees in winter. This is too cold even for my cold loving husband. Bring earplugs because the hot tub is outside the bedroom window, 5 feet from the bed. The hot tub turned on throughout the night, startling me awake every 30 minutes or so. I had 3 hours of broken sleep the first night. I was prepared with ear plugs for the rest of the stay, but I could still hear a low hum of the motor. I was not counting on exceptional internet service, but you should not count on it at all. Be sure to plan every excursion before you arrive. When we were actually able to do a speed test we were getting 0.05 mbps. Not 5, not .5...0.05. From the guest book we could see that there were guests who checked out the day we arrived. The cabin did not smell of cleaner or disinfectant, so it was obvious to us that there were no extra precautions used for COVID. Fortunately I brought my own wipes and wiped all surfaces and nobs down upon arrival. My husband also found a mop because the floor was sticky. Even after mopping, my socks were filthy. Several guests before us noted in the guest book that the hot tub was not working. This would have been very upsetting if it were me as having a hot tub was a necessity when choosing a cabin. So was the fireplace....You have to pretty much sign your life away with the contract so there would not have been any recourse. If you are looking for true seclusion, this is not the cabin. There is another cabin within hearing distance and we could hear the guests shouting to each other inside their cabin. There is still another cabin just beyond that one, and this cabin overlooks others. Some noted in the guest book that is was secluded, but the kind of seclusion we look for is where you feel like the only ones around, or in the very least you cannot see people on their deck and hear their conversations. You will need an AWD vehicle to traverse the drive to the cabin. Not only due to the steep incline and hairpin turns, but because you will need to drive the craters of the moon when you turn into the driveway. There is also no way to turn around, so we usually pulled into the neighbor's parking spot, then backed in to our parking spot. There are no instruction for how to *precisely* use the security system. We were happy to have had some kind of experience with a security system because it still took us some time to figure it out (how to turn it on, how to tell if it was truly activated, etc). The bathroom is very tiny and the door opens awkwardly close to the sink. You have to move out of the way in order to open the door. Other things guests noted in the guest book was the frustration with only 4 towels for a week-long stay, the sheets on the bed did not fit properly, hot water ran out before reaching the jets in the jacuzzi, not properly cleaned despite having to pay a cleaning fee. We just wanted some time away to enjoy nature in a peaceful setting. Fortunately we were able to find that on our own by hiking several great trails. The hot tub provided relaxing evenings (when the kids next door were not screaming and the Dollywood train was not tooting "Jingle Bells"). The views were ok, but not amazing, and we only had views because there were no leaves on the trees growing in front of the cabin. This was not our first time in the Gatlinburgh/Pigeon Forge area. This cabin ranked the lowest of our stays. read more
