This was…read morewhere we spent our honeymoon (well Gburg actually - in an old run down cabin that wasn't theirs). I don't even know if this place was around then. That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!

The cabins are all situated for privacy and you feel very secluded yet you can get yourself out there if you want too! The location is perfect. Only 20 minutes from major attractions in the Gaitlenburg/pigeon forge area. We were fortunate enough to meet and chat with the owners. Such great people! They have been in the hospitality industry for years and know the simple touches that make a vacation complete. I didn't forget the best part of the cabin!!! The soaking tub and porch. The porch is complete with privacy screens and hanging lights. A perfect end to a long day of sight seeing. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Fortunately it was still daylight and I could see to slowly back down. If it had been night time we would probably of gone off the road or worse. The whole ordeal has been extremely traumatic. We were so looking forward to this special 30 Anniversary trip. Instead we frantically had to find somewhere to stay. I reached out to Summit but the woman on call only expressed that she was in no way in any kind of authority to to refund or help us. We were left helpless and stranded with no support. She said she was sorry but I should have known and asked more questions before booking . Nothing in their listings or communications warned of the accessibility issues of driving to the cabin for some people. This ruined the start to mine and my wife's joyful 30 Wedding Anniversary. Fortunately we found lodging on our own but are being given the runaround by Summit concerning a full refund.

The drive up the mountain is scary (we live in Florida where the only hills we have are the dunes at the beach). We have a Honda CRV and it was a slow climb but we were fine. My sister and her husband have a very large Dodge Ram. They came up at night the first time and had to do some fancy maneuvering to make it to the cabin. All in all, we had a great time !! PS. If you get a chance, go to a restaurant called Graze Burgers in Sevierville. It has much more than just burgers and they have a full bar ! The food and service were wonderful !

Check in was super easy, although finding the office and then the cabin was a bit confusing, but once we figured it out, it was easy to get to and from. The road leading to the cabins is very narrow, so navigating at night was a little difficult, but we made it ok. We stayed at the Cabin "Lover's Leap" It was the end of the road, so it was very relaxing and quiet. I do think they should put up a no outlet sign though, because twice we had people coming down the road, once walking down to see where they could walk and the second time had been around 9 pm when we were trying to relax, and people were outside beeping their horn. I opened the door to see what they needed, but they just yelled they were turning around. So that kind of ruined the privacy of it a little bit. I agree with another reviewer that it could've used a little updating. The shower head didn't give off much pressure and looked kind of dated. The toilet seat was unhinged on the one side. The bed was a little noisy, and could've used replacement. Otherwise the place was a great cabin! We enjoyed our time there, and all nature had to offer. I had a horrible sunburn on my legs, so I was bummed that I didn't get to enjoy the hot tub, but hubby did for a bit. We were concerned because we couldn't get the jets to turn off, but after an hour or two we realized it must've been going through a cleaning cycle. They provided you with soap, towels, and all the little comforts of home. The owner was amazingly friendly over the phone. I probably could've talked with her all day! This time when we came the fireplace wasn't working,we called the office and they came out immediately and had it fixed by the time we came back from dinner. The guy said I was just here the other day, and it did not look like that.
