This was my fifth (and final) dress appointment because I said yes to the dress! I was so lucky to get Huong as my stylist/bridal consultant because she really was the BEST! We started off by browsing the store and picking a few dresses, and Huong also recommended a few as well based on my vision. My mom and sister had fun being able to go through the selection and suggest some dresses. I came in knowing I wanted to try on a specific dress and Huong made sure to find it for me! Throughout the whole process I felt so comfortable and supported by Huong. I just want to thank her for being so patient and kind to me. She helped me get in to each dress and never made me feel like I was a bother even though we tried on so many dresses! And she even saved the dress I came in to try on for last, just so that I could be sure that there wasn't something unexpected that I ended up liking. When I finally did try on the one, I felt so relieved that I finally found my dress! Also side note, this was actually a rescheduled appointment because I had a family emergency happen the day before my first appointment, but they were so kind, understanding, and even remembered it the day of my rescheduled appointment weeks later. The pros: Jaclyn's has a beautiful selection of dresses, and the atmosphere is very calm and elegant. The cons: I have to echo the sentiments of many other reviewers that we were barely greeted upon entering, to the point that they even seemed annoyed. The owner never introduced herself; she just sort of stared at us the whole time, in an uncomfortable way. Sharon was my consultant, and she was pleasant enough, but I also echo the sentiments that it's unusual for this place not to help you get your dress on, that you hang them back up yourself, and that it's just not on the same service level as the 4 other salons I visited. They don't offer water, tea, etc., nothing to drink, while all 4 other salons would offer water or a soda at a minimum. I had one other appointment earlier in the day, which I ultimately went back to to purchase my dress, despite Jaclyn's also carrying my dress. Jaclyn's price was $700 more for the exact same dress, but even if it had been the same price, I wouldn't have purchased from here based on the service. I get the feeling that the service would be better if you were walking in here with a very large budget. Just an underwhelming experience. read more

Everything I dreamed of and more! They carry so many beautiful dresses here and have exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this shop! My experience here was easy and delightful from the try-ons appointment through the alterations and fittings to the final pick-up. Contrary to other reviews, my consultant was very helpful! She asked questions that helped her and I both figure out what my perfect dress would be. During try-ons, she asked what kind of fit I was looking for and guided me to the part of the store where they were located so I could choose which ones I wanted to try on. She also recommended a few others for me. She helped me figure out what I liked or didn't like about the dresses to help me narrow down my choices. I can't remember if THE ONE was picked out by me or my consultant but after I put it on I knew I wanted it. I loved the top and the beading of the dress I chose but wanted a more mermaid fit on the bottom, since it wasn't very dramatic as it came. They were able to order the dress for me with the second layer switched from the default lace to glitter. And the shop owner Mindy assured me she could tailor the dress to have a more dramatic mermaid bottom. I had fittings about once a month when my dress came in, working to change out the cups and to make the dress the right amount of poof for me, then finally hemming it. Mindy and her team did a mermazing job creating that mermaid silhouette that I wanted. I'm so in love with my dress, I wish I could wear it several more times! read more

This place has really gone downhill from the last time I went here for my sister's wedding. I called to schedule alterations for my wedding dress, and the woman Laurie who answered was so snooty. When I mentioned the dress was secondhand, she immediately switched to a stuck-up attitude, and basically couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. I understand that as a business they want to prioritize their own clients who buy from their shop, but my sister had no issues bringing her dress here for alterations years ago. We walked in and the vibes were very muted, very calm, very demure. If that's your vibe - cool - but we would have preferred a little more energy. Our consultant was kind of hands-off. She didn't ask too many questions or engage with us. She didn't really pick out dresses or provide feedback. She didn't really help the bride in the (very tiny!) changing room. She wasn't super helpful overall. The dress selection was fine. Not a ton of dresses and not a lot of sizes. Also not as many shimmer/glitter/shiny options that would have been our preference to at least check out. It was an hour and a half appt and we were out of there in less than an hour - never to return again. The dresses didn't wow us. The consultant didn't wow us. I have so many great things to say about this place but the absolute best part of this place is the customer service. I called a couple of days ago to make sure I could find a dress here that fit my budget & timeline and the person who answered the phone was so friendly and helpful. Then, when I got to my appointment, I was greeted by my incredible stylist/consultant Haley! (If you go here, request her because she is amazing!! Although all the staff seem on top of it here!) Haley is the epitome of professionalism and kindness. She answered all 1,000 of my questions and I really appreciated her suggestions based on what I liked or didn't like about each dress. She set up everything in the dressing room for me and was on standby to zip me up or help with anything I needed. I loved how personable and attentive she was. I didn't feel any pressure to buy. I truly had such an amazing and positive experience at Jaclyn's Bridal! I had been to other bridal boutiques prior to coming here and each one does their appointments slightly different. What I liked about Jaclyn's bridal is that they allow you (and anyone with you) to browse the showroom and pull any dresses you are interested in. Some places only allow the consultants to pull looks for you which is fine but I enjoyed being able to browse around myself. They are very transparent with their pricing and are happy to work within your budget range. My consultant, Alex, was so kind and sweet. She was very professional and I never felt any pressure. She did a great job clipping me in and out and I really enjoyed working with her. Their store has such a warm and relaxing atmosphere, I just felt so at ease. I found my perfect dress and veil and could not be happier! Mindy, the owner is was also amazing. She is very experienced and does all the fittings herself. Went here to try on dresses, I had been recommended this store from multiple people online so I was expecting a great experience. When I checked in it seemed like the receptionist couldn't care less we had walked in, but thankfully my dress stylist was very nice. The place was VERY small and some of the dress racks were right by people sitting watching a bride try on dresses, which is very uncomfortable for both parties. At this store they don't help you find dresses, you are supposed to look around and pull the dresses up onto a hook or have your stylist help pulling them from the racks. Really wish this store would offer to pull dresses for you based off your preferences! read more

I had an amazing experience yesterday with Stephanie. The second my mom and I walked in we were greeted and taken care of through the end and the store is beautiful and gives the feeling of a great dress shopping experience. This was the experience I had in mind and it delivered, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I was hopeful to find a dress but also didn't expect to find the one as I am petite and large busted, which can be a challenge for dress shopping, however I did! Stephanie pulled THE dress based off of what I was looking for, it happened to be exclusive to this bridal shop and I've never seen in it in all my internet searches. I also loved that I was able to look at dresses as well as have the help of a stylist search. The price was right and she went above and beyond showing me customizations based on my vision and body type. Cannot have made my personalized experience better. Came today with my daughter and was "assisted" by Laurie. This is my second daughter to get married and we've visited a few bridal stores in the past and I've never been in one where the stylist doesn't help the bride get into the gown. These are heavy big gowns and she had to come out with it undone and feeling self conscious. And Laurie was constantly leaving to attend to other things in the store. In fact, usually when a bride has a dress on that she likes the stylist gets a veil for her and tries to seal the deal. Cue the tears, right? But no, we were searching for a veil ourselves and had to find Laurie to ask her to put it on. More than anything it felt like we didn't matter. Maybe Laurie was having a bad day. But I will tell you the last bridal salon we went to made my daughter feel so special and comfortable..and honestly we did like a dress at Jaclyn's but will buy elsewhere. read more

I recently had my bridal dress appointment here and I wanted to share what might be important to know for others. First off, the largest issue for me was that I was told to go into the fitting room and put the dress on myself, and to then come out and they would clip and adjust the dress on the pedestal. This was very difficult to stand in heels and put on large dresses on my own and take them out of the bags etc. I'm not sure why at a bridal dress shop you would have to put the dress on yourself, and then come out to a public area with the dress partially falling off. Additionally, my group and I had to wander the store and pull dresses we wanted. Maybe this was more because of the employee helping us, but she did not provide any suggestion, she did not ask me any questions about what I was looking for, and only pulled one or two dresses partially through the appointment, rather than helping find dresses to begin with. It was on us to search the entire store. I also found it odd that there were two fitting rooms right next to each other that shared one mirror - one pedestal was behind the other so if you came out at the same time one bride would be blocked. Overall this definitely wasn't the experience I was looking for to have a special moment in. read more

I owe 2 more reviews but I decided to keep everything in this one. I had two fitting appointments after my first dress-picking appointment and I was completely happy with my experience. Mindy was so professional and so kind to explain every steps of the alterations and fitting. I didn't have to question what she was going do to the dress. For those who'd think $750 was too expensive for alterations, I begged to differ because my dress came 4 layers with beading from neckline to waist. Mindy created 3 bustles with safety pins so they don't sink inside the white ruffles to hang the train. Mindy even instructed me clearly on my last appointment. So voila! I had originally bought a wedding dress somewhere else, and had taken that original dress somewhere else for tailoring. Two weeks before my wedding, the other seamstress told me she could not finish my dress. I was in a complete panic driving all over Orange County looking for a new wedding dress that could be ready for me to wear in less than two weeks. I am so happy that I found Jaclyn's Bridal! When I arrived their staff were so kind and empathetic to what had happened with my prior seamstress. They told me, "Just because that happened doesn't mean you need to settle. You should still love your dress for your wedding." Their positivity completely set me at ease for trying on dresses and I found a beautiful one that I loved! The owner of the shop had it rush shipped from out of state, and set up two fittings for alterations the following week. They were very flexible with scheduling me last minute. I ordered the dress on Saturday, had my first fitting the following Thursday, and picked up my dress on Monday. I couldn't believe they were able to do it so quickly for me. Zero stars for this place due to customer service! I recently came in with my daughter to pick up her dress. Since it required very little alteration, we said we were going to take the dress to our own tailor. Once we said this, the owner became visibly irritated and her demeanor quickly turned cold. She simply handed us the dress and didn't even bother to thank us for our business or wish my daughter well on her wedding day. I was actually shocked and could not believe how rude and unprofessional she was. Sadly, it put a damper on what should have been an exciting and happy experience. This place is hard to find but it is a hidden Gem. To the personnel at the front desk all the way up to management. If you are looking for affordable wedding dresses that are beautiful look no further! They have so many selections, and it is easy to make an appointment. I read some of the past Yelp comments that were negative and my experience has been the complete opposite. I chose to have them do the alteration which is a flat fee of $750. They have been accommodating with scheduling and rescheduling. After going to many dress places and David's Bridal this was refreshing to find a place that truly has employees that care. Please note they will order the dress in your size if they do not have it in stock but you do feel like a princess while trying them on. It is a smaller place but that is a plus in my eyes since you don't have a bunch of random people trying the dresses on around you. There are about four try on stations and they do not over schedule. The vibe of this place is very quiet and calm which isn't a bad thing or the problem we had with the overall experience. The worst part of the whole experience was my stylist Sharon. I don't even think she greeted us when we walked in. I am not one to say women need to smile but when you work in customer service you need to smile! She couldn't even do that. She was not warm or welcoming. She didn't ask any questions about the wedding or really the style that I wanted. She was just overall not enthused about anything. I can't say enough good things about Jaclyn's and my experience. The tl;dr version first: - Iike most places, you will need an appt to try on dresses - they carry larger sizes and have lots of options - you have free reign to look at all dress inventory and pull what you want (such a plus!!) - they have in-house seamstresses so they can take care of your needs right there - gentle, calming experience - super flexible and understanding (ended up giving them two tight turnaround requests which they met with no issue or concern). - they don't use constant empty platitudes like "hi babe" or "this is gorge on you babe" or "yas girlie slay" but actually talk to you like an adult, provide helpful feedback and suggestions, and make sure you're completely happy. Longer review: I'm a huskier girl, size 10-12 in jeans. I tried to go to 9 different bridal shops - 4 of the 9 wouldn't even let me book an appt because they didn't carry anything greater than a street size 6 or 8. Of the remaining 5 stores I tried, only 3 had dress options in my size, and only Jaclyn's was able to provide the wedding dress shopping experience I was looking for. I saw in a previous review that someone didn't like that you get to go through all the dress inventory and pull the ones you want to try on. But I LOVED that I could pick out my own dresses to try on! I really disliked the bridal shops (like Blush) where I wasn't allowed to look through the dress inventory at all myself and had to rely on some stranger who doesn't know me or my style to determine 4-5 options. They always pulled the worst things that didn't flatter my body at all and wasn't what I was interested in. Who wants to limit themselves that way for such a personal and important moment? The associate at Jaclyn's will walk through the store with you, help you pull and gently make their own suggestions as you go along, but you are still 100% in control and free to choose anything you want to try on. Not only that, but they had MULTIPLE options, in my size, in my desired style (romantic, a-line, with a higher back as I don't like low-back styles), that I could try on in store. The other stores I went to gave me one or two options, but I think I tried on like 9 dresses at Jaclyn's. Laurie initially helped me and she was just so gentle and kind. Other bridal stores had associates that seemed to have a quota of calling me "babe" or "gorgeous" or "beautiful" but not much else and it just felt so disingenuous and feigned. But Laurie called out elements of dresses that showed off my best features and why, and gave thoughtful feedback. When I left, I drove home feeling incredibly happy because I finally felt like I had found a bridal store that understood me and wasn't just trying to sugarcoat a sale! Then Mindy came in to help with the alterations. She was so supportive of me the entire time, from ordering the dress in a brighter white because I thought I would like that, to realizing that no I prefer the ivory/nude dress I first tried on and getting that instead, to thinking I was going to get married in just two months and needed something right away (they met that deadline no problem), to then coming back months later with a new wedding date and needing last-minute dress alterations (one week turnaround - and they handled it no problem!) - honestly I just felt like they were in my corner and supportive of me every step of the way. The store is very calming with nice music and there's just no pressure. Prices were incredibly reasonable. They work with you and it was just such a great process to get my dress from there. From start to finish, this was a wonderful bridal experience. Making an appointment was really easy. The shop is in a nice area with lots of parking. Upon walking in, the shop itself wowed me. It's beautiful, spacious, and very tidy. Every single gown in there is magical, and I loved how modern they were. I also enjoyed being able to walk through the entire shop to touch and feel and select dresses of my choice. I went to the appointment alone and had Sharon assist me in this process. Her energy was so calming and she was very attentive to what my wants and needs were. This is the first time I didn't feel pressured into liking a dress or buying it. I ended up selecting only 3 dresses to try on, and the 2nd one was everything I was looking for. But I had to sleep on and see if I still felt the same the next day. Sharon told me if I wanted to stop by the following day to call ahead so they can squeeze me in. That's exactly what I did. I couldn't stop thinking about the dress and wanted to show my two friends. I called and they were able to squeeze me in at the time I was hoping for. Sharon was very kind to ask if I wanted to try any others on but I declined. The moment I put the dress on again, I knew this was it! I couldn't believe this gorgeous dress was within my budget. Made you find dresses for yourself and dress yourself. Assistant made a comment about my dress size assuming something completely different than I wear, (and I'm not talking about wedding dress sizes- my real dress size) and proceeded to talk about their prices exceeding my budget (assuming again!) making my guest uncomfortable! I would tell you to really consider their yelp reviews because people are right, don't bother coming here. (I honestly didn't even take any photos to share. Out of all the bridal boutiques in Orange County, I found my wedding dress at Jaclyn's. They have a wide selection of dress designers. My cousin referred me because she found her dress there and now I referred my sister. Mindy is the owner is the sweetest ever and amazingly talented -- she does all the alterations in house. The prices for the wedding dresses are incomparable and the fact that all alterations are in house definitely gives peace of mind. After our wedding we went to in n out for a late night food run and I got a huge ketchup stain on it! She cleaned and packaged my dress for me and offered to put a patch on it if I ever used it again. Anyway, I'm so grateful to have had an amazing experience here and now it feels so special that my sister found her dress here too. Side note - their old location was a few miles away and much smaller but now she has move to a larger location and it's so beautiful! Very easy to park right in front of the boutique too! Jaclyn's Bridal was the first store that I went to when I started wedding dress shopping. Michelle was the one who helped us, and the first dress she pulled had everything I wanted already! Surprisingly enough, even after going to 2 other dress shops, I kept thinking about that first dress. We went back to Jaclyn's Bridal, tried on the same dress, added a veil, and we knew it was the one! Thank you Michelle! Mindy was amazing with her alterations as well! One thing I will note is that the stylist Laurie did make me a bit nervous since she was on the quieter side, but ultimately she had a really good sense of the product and helped immensely with pulling inventory that would work for my shape and stature. I'm a bit on the shorter side with a shorter torso, and she was able to make really keen adjustments to ensure that the dress fit really well. My original wedding was planned for January 2021, but with COVID I had to delay wearing my wedding dress. I'm giving Jaclyn's Bridal 5 stars for accommodating me very last minute and for my stylist, Kim. I had time and was nearby with my sister so we decided to just stop by the shop. We did not have an appointment and called to see if they could possibly take us in. I believe it was the owner over the phone who said they normally don't accept walk ins but made an exception for me. I'm beyond grateful they were so flexible and welcoming. Although I didn't get my dress here, Jaclyn's bridal had a wide range of dresses that came close. The prices were within range as well. I don't think this shop overprices at all.
