As a bride my experience at Solana was phenomenal! This was my fifth bridal shop and of all the shops service was truly with love and care. Celeste and Yvonne really heard what I was saying and probably even more importantly heard what I didn't say. It was like they joined my wedding crew, and finding a dress was our group project. They made me feel so comfortable and confident in everything I tried on. There were so many cute little touches, from walking down the dress isle to the social media wall. Solana Bridal - Yes to the dress toast! - Bridal Near Me - Santa Ana, California

A unique bridal store located in Santa Ana. I unfortunately had a fairly negative experience here, but they are also very new so there's time for improvement. The only people that really saved the experience for me were Andrew and Grace. They were extremely kind when I met them at a wedding expo and every interaction I had with them after that was wonderful. We were invited to their grand opening fashion show as part of the promotion from meeting them at the wedding expo. I brought my fiancé as a fun outing and were informed that we were on the VIP list when we checked in. When we made it up the elevator, we were informed that all of the VIP guests had their names on seats and we just had to find the seats with our names on it. It's not a big deal, but there were no reserved seats for us and when we asked about it, we were told to just sit in any of the other open seats. The invitation said the event was from 2:00pm-5:00pm but the show ended up starting at 3:30pm and finished around 4:20pm. I returned two weeks later for my bridal appointment. I had not heard anything from the location about my appointment so ended up calling them ahead of time just to have an email confirmation sent to me for the appointment. I was also not provided any information on where to park in the confirmation, but I was able to help the rest of my group find where to park based off of the previous trip for the fashion show. The appointment started similarly to others where they ask what kind of dresses and styles that you like. We were able to find some things that I did like but other styles were brought for me to try as well. There were very few dresses that I tried on that I ended up liking. The majority of dresses were things that the stylists told me I should try even when I expressed that I did not want to try them on because they didn't match the type of dress that I was looking for. It felt more like a pushy sales pitch where they wanted me to try on dresses that they liked themselves rather than what I would actually want to get married in. There were also several occurrences where I would be talking to the rest of my group about what we thought about a dress that I was trying on and they would just close the curtain while we were still talking. It felt very unprofessional and my entire group was a little bit flustered from the lack of respect. The whole experience made it feel like there was no care or intention of trying to help me find the dress that I would love, but rather I was just someone for the employees to play dress up with. I'm hoping that my experience was just a one-off and that they're able to improve the quality of the overall experience for other brides. read more

Wow. I didn't expect this. I was very nervous for this part of wedding planning and being that this was the very first place I tried, I was EXTRA nervous. I'm not the type to love dressing up, so it was hard for me to envision what looked good on me, what type of dress I wanted, etc. Plus I'm the biggest overthinker and take forever to make decisions. But that all eased up. Met them at a Bridal Expo and made the appt there with them. They followed up with instructions on how to arrive at their warehouse and all peachy keen! From the get-go, we felt good vibes (although my nerves didn't seem like it). We were welcomed by the amazing Andrew and then met with our stylist. They mentioned they already had 3 dresses picked out for me based on the inspiration photos I provided, but was available to walk around the warehouse and pick out any other dresses I wanted to try on. Then met with our stylist and started. They provide a nice robe to wear between dresses and had heels if needed. Each dress was really nice, but after 4 dresses, the stylist went back to the warehouse to suggest a dress based on my comments of the others and just by seeing me in person. Wow. I honestly didn't think I'd choose my wedding dress from my first appointment and first place. They had me go through like a mock aisle walk with the veil, music, everything. Made my family cry and so I knew it was great. I said yes, they had a cute TV screen to make it official. I can't thank Sherene and her team enough for helping this tom-boy find her wedding dress :) I can't wait! read more

The owner was also very professional and welcoming. Compared to other bridal shops I've visited, this one truly made me feel like a bride. This was actually my first bridal shop experience, and I ended up falling in love with the very first dress I tried on! Thankfully, they had exactly the style I was looking for a mermaid/trumpet dress. What I also appreciated was how honest the owner was about pricing and the quality. She explained everything clearly, unlike some places where prices can change depending on the customer or the venue. I found my dress! I came in with a certain budget, realized I wanted to adjust it to be slightly higher, and Celeste was able to work with me to find the one. Sherene's commitment to ensuring I wasn't being disrespected by being shown dresses outside the initial budget I gave her showed her integrity and that she had my best interests in mind. Once I said yes to the dress, they toasted me to some bubblies and surprised me with a nice little gift. This is the 2nd bridal dress shop I went to, and my experience here was marginally better than a bigger name store in Westminster. Solana bridal was my first experience with wedding dress shopping, and unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. The staff was very kind, walked me through the dresses, and did their best to find a dress that I could try on. But unfortunately I did not know my dress size, and after the first dress in the size I had guessed did not fit, the staff continued to try and have me attempt to squeeze into smaller dresses. Then I stood in a dress that was 6 sizes too small, that was squeezing my body uncomfortably, and I was asked if I wanted to show my family. I stated no and asked for it to be taken off, and it wasn't until 5 minutes later of being interviewed about what I didn't like/ like, that they took me out of this small dress. Instead of telling me that they had nothing for me to try on, they then left me in the dressing stall for about 10 minutes as they tried to look for at least one dress I could put on. I ended up having a family emergency and leaving, but I think I was about to leave at that point anyways. This is a great store if you have a smaller figure (size 12 and below) and the staff was really kind, but since they are a new place, they do not have options for curvy girls. I would have appreciated being told the dress sizes were limited, instead of feeling uncomfortable in my own body. I think they had the best intentions, they just didn't know how to handle the situation. read more
