The office staff is friendly and "on paper" they run a large practice with multiple doctors, so a patient should always be able to see a doctor when they need attention. However, in reality, finding an open time slot to see ANY of the doctors, especially Dr Roohparvar, is extremely difficult. Very often, when trying to find an appointment to see the doctor, the earliest available appointment is a month out or more. Fortunately, I don't get sick often, but on the few occasions when I really needed to see my doctor, he was not available for weeks, and I was redirected to Urgent Care. Somehow, all the other doctors in the practice were booked for weeks ahead too. This is unacceptable. What good is it to have a family doctor when you can't see him for a month because he is so overbooked?? People don't schedule or plan when they will get sick or hurt themselves. A family doctor is there to help and see you when these unexpected situations happen. Being able to see someone on the same day is likely unrealistic, but waiting for a few weeks for an appointment is simply ridiculous. Being asked to just go to urgent care whenever we need attention and when we have a family doctor is almost insulting. Why do I need a family doctor then? If the doctor has way too many patients, and he is oversubscribed, maybe he should communicate this better with his staff and patients, so we can all plan better and maybe seek another family practice. Overall, very unhappy with the lack of availability of the doctor and the lack of effort to offer another doctor's services from the practice when needed.

After multiple calls, it was resent, but then Stanford couldn't use the doctor's notes because they were illegible. When I contacted the office for help, I was told there was nothing they could do. The staff was unpleasant and unhelpful throughout the process, and the office feels outdated. Due to the ongoing issues and lack of support, we will be switching providers.

This review is, however, for someone in his office, the Office Lead, Corey. Sometimes there is a quagmire in dealing with medical offices that can be challenging. Patients are sick or minimally, not feeling well and trying to get an appointment with a doctor that is often overbooked, or admin rules that put high walls between a patient and their doctor that are difficult to traverse. Corey is skilled in being able to smooth over these obstacles; get action for that which needs to be tended to and does it with grace and a smile. The number on this listing has changed. I called the new number and the scheduling staff has no knowledge of Dr. Broad, so I am hitting a brick wall. I spoke with three different people. The Rep stated she will speak to her Supervisor regarding this error. Dr. Broad's details are listed on the Good Samaritan Hospital website, but the nice lady said I was actually calling Stanford Medical Group.

If you are looking for a bubbly nurse that is not Claudia but if you are looking for someone who effectively gets you prepped to meet with the doctor she is excellent! I appreciate the fact that I rarely have to wait beyond my appointment for my visit. If I have a sudden illness or issue Dr. Broad always finds time to see me. The help hotline is very efficient! I always get a call back within a few hours. I have had a large variety of issues (basics such as flus, colds, allergies, sinus infections, skin rash and also much harder issues such as extreme migraines, debilitating neck injury, rare virus, cyst, etc) over the years. If Dr Broad could not directly help me he has always worked hard to find the correct person for me to see. He is not afraid to prescribe alternative treatments if regular western treatments are not showing results. Dr Broad works with his patients and what they are comfortable with as far as treatment course goes. Dr Broad always keeps in mind that I prefer to not take medicine unless necessary. Regarding my rare virus.. Dr Broad did not give up until he found a doctor who could correctly diagnose me! After their visit, I spoke to them on the phone and they shared how hurtful and upsetting their visit was. Specifically, they shared that the way she communicated about their health not only felt unhelpful, but extremely hurtful. They felt judged and surprised when she suggested various recommendations for being overweight without asking any real questions about lifestyle, weight management throughout their life, successes, challenges, etc. She jumped to extreme solutions like a liquid diet and surgery, when overeating has never been something they have struggled with. They told me over the phone, pausing as they cried, "If I wasn't mentally stable, I would have left and killed myself." This was not something they had ever said before so wasn't them being dramatic - it was because their time with Dr. Borodulin was so painful. It was also shared that the Medical Assistant was extremely unprofessional, not saying anything when they came into the room to take BP and then yelling the numbers down the hall. I am a former Health Center manager, as well as a public health professional. I am also the wife of a physician. I understand patient care, the training physicians go through, and the responsibilities physicians have to their patients. Flippantly suggesting surgery without discussing previous challenges or success is absurd, as is suggesting a liquid diet for fast weight loss.
