So you know his credentials are top, but he listens to you and works out a plan of care that is best with discussion and a way of easing any dental anxiety you may have. In my case I had to make multiple visits to care for teeth that hadn't seen in dentist for 2 years. He worked in the least invasive manner possible, was very gentle and I experienced no pain what so ever. I have recommended my husband, my adult children to go here. It helps to have a gorgeous view of the Bonita golf course.

I had a root canal with Dr. Lakasic, the BFD Endodontist in the La Jolla facility. He was fabulous, including his asst Alex. Alex explained the procedure, so I knew what to expect. It was painless and quick. The receptionist Cecilia was great also. I then had to go back to Bonita Family Dental to get a Temporary crown made and placed. Dr. Fosman was just wonderful. She has the best personality and she calmed my nerves, b/c I hate having dental work done. Arturo was her asst and he was professional and was able to make and fit my temp crown on the spot. After all the numbness wore off, I noticed the crown was high and uncomfortable, so they were able to get me in the next day to get it adjusted. Arturo walks in and said, "I got your permanent crown done!!". It fit like a glove, and all the discomfort was gone! I have to commend both Dr. Fosman and Arturo!! They are a good reason why I will be returning to BFD. I was thinking of switching to find the previous dentist who left the practice, but when I met Dr. Fosman, I quickly changed my mind. Arturo is the best crown builder and technician. He is considered a Dentist in Mexico, so I had two dentists in one!! Thank you, Bonita Family Dental.

I called Dr. Burquez's office to see if they could help and if they could see me the same day. The person who answered the phone was incredibly kind and professional, and luckily, they were able to fit me in just a few hours later. I also asked for the price up front since I pay out of pocket and didn't want any surprises. The person on the phone gave me a straightforward answer, without playing the usual games like, "It depends on the crown," "We might need X-rays," or "We'll have to see the gums first." I've gotten quotes five times higher elsewhere, so hearing a clear and honest price was refreshing. When I arrived, I met the rest of the team -- two more girls at the front and the doctor's assistant -- and each one was nicer than the next. Then I met Dr. Burquez himself: kind, polite, and genuinely caring. Even though I was a brand-new patient coming in for what most would consider a small issue, he treated me like a VIP. While I was there, I also showed him a different tooth with a cracked crown. He took an X-ray -- free of charge -- and, because it was an implant under the crown, he recommended that I see a specialist just to make sure everything was stable. He could've easily just sold me a new crown and made some quick money, but instead, he gave me honest advice and even recommended two other doctors to consult. He and his staff took their time, no rush, no pressure -- even taking the time to search for their contact info. In the end, the price I paid was exactly what they quoted over the phone -- no hidden fees, no extra charges for the X-ray or the extra work (and it ended up being a full bridge, not just one crown). It's rare these days to find a doctor who actually cares about his patients, loves what he does, and isn't just in it for the money. Sadly, that's not the norm anymore -- but with Dr. Fabriel Burquez, it absolutely is. I can't recommend him enough. Highly recommended!
