I received a price for the fillings and then they told me my insurance coverage was actually less than they had actually calculated so now I have to pay over $500 out of pocket when I had agreed to an initial price of $128. Dental work is not something you usually look forward to. Due to Covid, I had put off going to the dentist for a cleaning. Not only that but the last place I went to wasn't the most pleasant experience mainly due to the lack of great customer service. That is something that Dr Barajas and his staff definitely don't lack. My previos dentist retired and I went Dr Barajas as a new patient. Their explanation of their schedule of fees was so confusing and I was told that even if the insurance states they cover a procedure 100% I may still get a bill because it does not mean 100% of the Barajas dentist schedule of fees. I asked if this was the case with other dentists and she stated that she had no idea what other dentists do. Jules explained they have no idea how much the insurance is going to cover until the work is done and that if I was not in agreement I should cancel my appointment. So I did. read more

Luckily through recommendations of friends and family, I found myself taking a chance at Dr. Barajas office and I was not disappointed. I was greeted by the most welcoming staff and received top of the line cleaning without any pain or discomfort. It seems as if the hygienist that was working on me genuinely cared about my dental health rather than accusing me of not brushing or flossing. Went to Eric Barajas for tooth problem. He did X-rays and exam only. Said he could not help. Sent me to endodontis . Endodontist did CT. He could not help. Sent me to oral surgeon could not get seen for 2 weeks. Called back to Barajas to beg for antibiotics to which he never offered to help told me to go to ER. Then I received bill for 400.00 . Talk to Jules who couldn't help then Christine in person to explain the over charges. Said that is what they charge. Beware of this dentist. read more

I have experienced a few of the technicians and they always try to make you comfortable and explain what they are doing. I always dread going to the dentist but I am very impressed with everything about this office. For starters, THIS OFFICE HAS TVs ON THE CEILING!!! it really makes time go by quick and you're not just awkwardly staring up at someone while you're getting your teeth cleaned. But aside from that, I feel very comfortable with trusting Dr. Barajas and his staff with my oral health. During my visit, he showed me what was going on with my teeth and explained that my old fillings were leaking PLUS showed me the images of the areas that I started to get cavities!! (I have never been to a office that took actual pictures of my teeth to make me feel comfortable with their diagnosis) Oh, and get this... that night after I had my treatment, I received a random call and when I answered, IT WAS DR. BARAJAS ASKING ME HOW I'M DOING!! WHAT DOCTOR DOES THAT?! That just shows that he truly cares for his patients and we're not just a number. First time my husband went there, they upcharged him on services that they didn't inform him were out-of-pocket. What bothered me was the casual way they asked him if he wanted the add-ons which made it sound like they were free of charge. i.e., "Would you like a floride treatment with this cleaning?" in stead of, "Would you like a floride treatment with this clearning? There is a charge but we highly recommend it." Very shady. It was the first and last time we ever went there and whenever anyones brings up going to a dentist, I tell them this story. p.s. The only reason we caught the charges is because my Mom is a retired front office manager of a dental office and she informed us whenever a dental office needs or wants to provide services that are out-of-pocket from what your insurance covers, they are required to let you know those costs before they do those services. I've been going to this office now for a couple of months and I have to say, Dr. Barajas and his staff are really fantastic people. They are all professional, friendly and the customer service is superb. You can tell that they really care for their patients and love what they do. Dr. Barajas has followed up with me after each appointment to see how I'm doing, and Roxanna has explained to me the process of each procedure every step of the way. They take care to review any procedures, make sure you understand what's needed and the best plan to accomplish those things, etc. I've also spoken with Stephanie and the front desk lady whose name is escaping me at the moment (sorry!!!), and each of these women are so polite and professional. I'm sure there aren't many dental fans. I am a HUGE chicken - I HATE HATE HATE going to the dentist. Postpone it as long as I can. I knew I needed work done - root canal, a crown, a couple of cavities and finally had to break down and just do it. My really good friends recommended Dr. Barajas so...off I went. HONEST. HONEST. HONEST. Referred me to an endodontist for the root canal and then he fitted me with a crown. Did the xrays and such and yes, I have a few cavities - one which we will wait on, one quadrant needs a deep cleaning. I can't tell you how many times I have been to another dentist and had them tell me that I need a full deep cleaning and I have a bizillion cavities. Not Dr. Barajas - I am totally confident that he's VERY honest. (The crown btw fit PERFECTLY...zero adjustment needed. Finally pain free.) GENTLE. I generally start sinking in the chair when I see the needle. Heart starts racing and I would rather be ANYWHERE else other than in that chair. He was sooooo gentle that I didn't even feel the shot to numb me. How does THAT happen? I have finally gotten over the sweating-profusely stage when I see their phone number pop up reminding me of my appointment. I'm not afraid anymore. He's THAT good. REALLY PRETTY OFFICE and AWESOME STAFF. Very clean. Zen. TVs with personal headphones, lots of channels. Staff is WONDERFUL and always kind and just as gentle as the dentist. Oh...back to honest again. Financials. I have tricare/delta dental and he's part of my plan. HOORAY. Insurance paid more than initially thought and i got a call IMMEDIATELY letting me know the status - would i like a check or would i like to put it towards the upcoming work. Very cool.
