We wanted to find a photographer who was familiar with a venue we originally wanted for our small wedding. We were able to meet with him over Zoom to go over all our questions. He was so easy going and chill to work with the entire time. When we first met with him, we planned to do a 50 person local wedding, BUT our plans changed to a 130+ person wedding nearly 2 hours away almost the day after we met with him lol. Jacob was so down for the change and was excited for what we had planned. Jacob and his partner, Jacqy did our engagement shoot and our wedding. They were phenomenal. During the engagement shoot, they made us feel so comfortable. We were so worried as we felt we weren't very photogenic. They were able to ease our nerves and made it such a fun experience! The photos turned out better than we expected. For our wedding, they were quick to get our shots and flexible with our timeline. They both kept it calm, cool and collected, which we needed. We had a great experience with Jacob as our photographer from start to finish. When I was initially searching for a wedding photographer, I was drawn to his style immediately and was continually drawn to his IG page and website. After looking into many other photographer and photo/video options, and meeting with Jacob on Zoom, we decided to choose him to capture our big day. We had our engagement shoot at Ocean Beach in San Francisco in February 2023, and though it was his first time shooting a couple at that specific location on Great Highway, we came away with a bunch of shots we loved. We had a final meeting on Zoom about a week before our wedding in October to go over the timeline and some of our shot requests. Once our day arrived, Jacob showed up on time with his second shooter and got to work on the details shots immediately. Throughout the day, he worked quickly, and got all of the major shots we requested, including group formal photos with all our guests after the ceremony. Taking the bridal party photos can be long and tiresome process for the group, but Jacob made the entire bridal party feel comfortable, and everyone had a great time. He delivered our sneak peeks and final albums much sooner than we expected, which were nice surprises each time. We were especially happy we received them all in time to share for the holidays. My now wifey and I have nothing but good things to say about Jacob! Jacob is super easy to work with: professional, personable, easy going, and kind. Even after our first consultation Zoom meeting, we came away feeling like he is simply a nice guy! We like nice guys! Wifey was initially drawn to his photography style. Jacob was one of the first photographers we noticed on Instagram, and we just kept circling back to him. After doing our research, we concluded that Jacob checked all our boxes: budget, services, and final products. In particular, we liked the fact that he included an engagement shoot with his 10 hour package. For said engagement shoot, Jacob was able to accommodate our requested location (the dunes at Ocean Beach SF), despite not having prior experience there. But that didn't matter in the end. Even with windy and not so ideal conditions, Jacob worked his magic, and the photos turned out better than what we had envisioned! We had a couple of those, "OoOoo...!" moments when looking through the delivered album. On the day of our wedding, Jacob enlisted the help of a second photographer named Adam to help capture all of the happenings of the day. Wifey primarily worked with Jacob during the first half of the day, while I worked with Adam. Both of them were skilled at their craft, and provided direction for us awkward folks. Both Jacob and Adam positively contributed to the overall vibe and energy of the day: lots of laughs and natural free flowing conversation mixed in with the professional insight and guidance. As for the ceremony and the reception, I don't know if I was just so caught up with all the chaos of the day, but I don't really remember noticing Jacob or Adam too much as they worked to capture all the pivotal moments.
