She's 83 years old and fragile. We didn't have and appointment and were basically on stand-by hoping she could get this infected tooth removed. It has just been recommended the day before and COULD have been potentially dangerous to put off. The staff here is excellent. I was impressed with their patience, tone and professionalism of the front desk girl, our first contact and 'face' representing the business. Krisha was kind and authentic. Further, they were organized and had all the other paperwork from our normal dentist ready. Although the day earlier, we were warned that we might have to be waiting for hours, they somehow managed to get us going in only one hour. We got some reading done in their pleasant, comfortable waiting room. And THANK YOU for not have some TV blaring in that room like a lot of other places have! We liked that... Krystin, the dental assistant, was likewise professional and did a great job in coming beside us for the procedure. My mom was nervous and wanted to be put out... Margo, yet another awesome employee, discussed the costs and insurance with us and I was impressed with her as well. Pricing/insurance was explained and agreed to in advance. Dr. Shannon Barnhart, who I didn't meet, preformed the extraction and I think we were wrapping up in about an hour. Although NOBODY needs to be thanked for doing the right thing, I was further impressed that they only charged 1/2 of the full estimated cost for mom's anesthesia. Apparently, the full dosages of medications were not required and they wanted it reflected in the bill. How honest that? However, my fears were dispelled when I saw Dr. Franklin. He was kind and gentle, answered my questions and spent a good amount of time with me. I went to Dr. Franklin for a second opinion. The good doctor allayed my fears of the work prescribed by the other dentist that I saw. He explained in detail the pros and cons of dental work, and the time to get the work done. After a thorough examination, Dr. Franklin said I have a gentle bite. Overall, I've had nothing by superb assistance from this office - from Sierra, at the front desk, to Grace, who took the Digital 3D X-Rays. The day of was a breeze. I remember counting backwards in the chair and then being outside getting in the car, all my wisdom teeth out in less than an hour. I told them I would have to see what I could come up with, I did not have $3000. They told me I could apply for Care Credit or Cherry, I did and was approved for $9000. to be used only at Dr. Patels office. Paid cash $300.00 for today made an appt for a week away. My Dad is 93 and on a limited income and I also wanted to check with his Dr. to make sure it was ok to do this. The next day after thinking about everything, I felt as if we were being taken advantage of. I went back to original dentist and told them what happened. He decided he would do it himself.
