Decided to come here to purchase a pumpkin after seeing Safeway selection was not good and it was very close too. We came here a few days before Halloween because we wanted to carve a pumpkin. It's a very kid and dog friendly place. They probably had a more pumpkins very early in the month but still had a good amount left over. They had wide variety of mini pumpkins to large pumpkin selection. They had cute little picture stands, a tractor and wheel barrows for those Instagram worthy shots. We purchased a $5 small pumpkin and $15 medium pumpkin and they were also selling the pumpkin carving tools for $5 which we got as well for a decent price. In my search for dog friendly pumpkin patches I came across Jacob Farms! This by no means is a farm, rather, it's an extremely small lot with a few pumpkins, a couple tractors, and some Halloween decorations. Despite it's modestly it actually served our purposes quite well. We wanted to take some photos and purchase a pumpkin. We thought to go early to avoid crowds but thankfully there were only 2 other customers while we were there. We pretty much had the patch to ourselves for a good portion of time and the best part was that we could include our dog! Thank you for being so dog friendly. We got a grey pumpkin to display outside of our home for under $30. Loved the unique color! You don't see grey too often. read more

Decent pumpkin patch, but nothing too over the top. It's basically a local spot with pumpkins and some horror props. Still, my daughter enjoyed it and there is a decent amount of pumpkins, but for some reason we thought this place had a corn maze, which it did not. Still, a good quick visit for the kids. read more

This was my second year visiting this Pumpkin Patch (2016 & 2017) and there was much less this year in comparison to last year. There was no corn maze this year, much less pumpkins, and less decoration props for photo ops. However, I haven't found a better location for pumpkin picking so Jacobs Farm is still a winner in my eyes! Their prices are doable as my large pumpkin was priced at $15 and $3-5 for the smaller pumpkins. They also have wheel barrels for you to roll around as you shop for your lil and not-so-lil pumpkins. We came to the pumpkin patch 2 weeks before Halloween. It's nothing fancy, but it's still a great place to bring your little ones to take some cute pictures amongst the pumpkins. They have wheelbarrows that my daughter loved sitting in as we went around looking for what pumpkins to bring home. The guy who was running the stand was really nice and definitely gave the place the feel of a family business. We will definitely be back next year. read more

Jacobs Farms Pumpkin Patch (JFPP) is replacing the now defunct Giordano Farms Patch at the same location on the corner of Snell & Chynoweth. JFPP's patch is mostly about the Pumpkins and not all the other frills (i.e., Train Ride, Petting Zoo) that Giordano used to provide. This did not deter me and my son --the self-anointed Yelp PumpKings-- from checking it out on its opening day of Oct 1st to see what they had to offer. Here's the intelligence we have gathered for you: -Small, but amusing Corn Maze; it had a few more twists and turns than we anticipated and was "a big fun." -Port-o-potties w/ handwashing station. -Wheelbarrows for collecting the Pumpkins. -Several Hay Bale structures for climbing and playing on. -Picnic Tables -Good variety of Organic Pumpkins; including Turbans, Grey, Yellow--and even Warty ones! Ewww! -Bunches of Corn Stalks at $10/ea if you're looking for Fall decorations. Hours: Open daily until Halloween from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Cost: Everything is free, but the Pumpkins. Those range anywhere from 50¢ - $20 depending on size--and not variety. This is my favorite pricing scheme, as I always thought Giordano's pricing was really random and not clearly marked. They also accept cash and credit cards! While we missed the Train and Tractor displays of the old Patch, my son still had a great time climbing the Hay Bales and running around like a rabid chimpanzee between all their colorful Pumpkin displays. A nice pumpkin patch in south San Jose. We always come here every year for a small, secluded pumpkin farm, and for my kids to run around. What makes this pumpkin farm different than with other pumpkin patch is they have a fruit stall where you can buy fruits, vegetable, raw honey, etc. Pumpkins' price are not that bad. They have tractor ride during weekends, parking can be swamped during festival, but if you go here during weekdays, parking lots are spacious. read more

I'd have to say, I wish I was able to even experience this place because there aren't many pumpkin patches that are dog friendly. Which is the one of the reasons we decided to opt for this place and it's not far from where we live. On yelp, it states the opening time is 10am (good thing we didn't get there until 10:55am because there is a sign outside the gate saying open at 11:00am. The reason why I gave it 1 star is because we were not the only family waiting for the place to be open at 11am, there were 2 other families waiting with THEIR KIDS. One family arrived there by foot. I felt bad for her because not only was it getting hot, there were no benches there for her to sit. Think about it this way, imagine your kids being excited to go to a pumpkin patch only to have to leave because they are still not open 10-15 min after their posted opening time. read more

I am only giving 4 stars because the pumpkins here are expensive! I still can't believe I spent over $50 on 4 pumpkins! Anyhow, I like this location because the farm has cute photo opportunities (tractor, old truck, hay maze, variety of pumpkins in all shapes, colors and sizes). I enjoyed that the farm did not have jumpers, and craziness. The pumpkin patch felt like an actual farm. Great place to come for some photos with your kiddos or even "couple" photos. read more

I went here to get some photos of a certain 11 month old and pumpkins, and I succeeded. I also got to pet the nice "guard dog" Daisy. They have a selection of organic vegetables and tons of squash to buy, ample parking, and some nice hay bales and an old tractor for more photos. Overall it's a cool spot, they even sell honey and jams. read more

The farm is great! the pumpkins were a little more pricey than other places but its the brightest and roundest pumpkins around. They allow small dogs which is a huge plus as long as you clean after them. Dogs must not be aggressive because there was kids running around everywhere. the patch is super clean and colorful, however since the pumpkins arent scattered it was hard to reach some of them in the middle. the corn maze is free, its not really the best maze but its fun for young children! not for adults. the owner was nice and we will be coming back with our puppies when we go for more pumpkins. read more

At first, I got lost driving around the park, but this place is off Snell street, just keep driving down and you'll see it. Probably one of the neater spots go to for pumpkins without all the air slides and what not. read more

Beautiful Organic Pumpkins!! They have a great selection of gourds, a corn maze, and lots of hay bales to explore. It is great fun for the whole family, even our dogs (and cat)! We drove up and asked first if dogs were allowed. The guy in charge was super friendly and more than happy to welcome our furry family! We spent about an hour walking about the pumpkins, taking pictures, and picking out some pumpkins. It's also great that the pumpkins were organic and supporting a local family farm! I used to come here every year, from when it was Giordano's to when it changed to Jacobs. I came this year and was SERIOUSLY disappointed. There were barely any pumpkins, no more corn maze, only one super lame climbing structure... nothing for the kids to interact with. There was a huge variety of pumpkins, from perfect orange ones to the not so perfect but still cool looking ones. You really will find the one you're looking for. I Went to get my first live tree ever my family was sick at home so we were FaceTiming to see which one would fit our living room . I was told to find a tree and come back and get one of the guys to help. There was a young dude wrapping a tree so I waited next to an older chubby man and he asked if I had been helped I said well I found a tree he just glared at me. I was already feeling weird the way he was just standing there watching the young dude as if he was judging his work. Well I told the older dude I found one so do I bring it myself. Older dude said sarcastically ,"why yes you bring it yourself so you could drag it through the dirt so it could get all dirty. " like really? All I needed was help not your smart ass remark. After that I was over priced but with how busy works been I bought the tree. My sick family had been expecting. I am so glad I went alone I would've been livid if he was so disrespectful to my family. I didn't let the bitter old man get the best of my day but I would hate to see him take your joy out of this holiday season. There's nicer trees and friendlier service at a nursery by Almaden lake.
