Post Street Farm has become a Halloween-time staple for myself! Its spooktacular Halloween display and great selection of pumpkins are unlike anything you'd expect to see in this industrial pocket of Santa Cruz. Aside from the Halloween decor in October and Christmas trees in December, this is actually a Dahlia farm! I have only been in September, October and December, and have yet to see the dahlias in full bloom, but even in October they are beautiful! There is a vast selection of flowers in all the colors of the rainbow. It is truly a sight to see. The farm is also home to a whole section of beehives! Best of all you can purchase honey and beeswax candles produced by these amazing creatures. On top of just being an over all cool spot, the owner is extremely kind. He is more than happy to tell you all about the farm and show you around. Last time we visited we got to meet his rescue kitty and then he even carried our pumpkins to the car! read more

Cute little nursery, but not much variety. And don't pet the cat! I let it smell my hand. It seemed friendly, so I gave it some pats. Then it grabbed my hand and bit down, giving me at least one puncture wound and some scratches. It's already swollen and painful just a few hours later, so I'm probably heading to the urgent care tomorrow for treatment. Lesson learned. Edit: Yep, way worse today, so I went to the urgent care and got antibiotics. read more

Very cute spot. You can easily find street parking. Walk in and you'll see bins of pumpkins of different sizes, colors, variety. There are some fun crafty glitter pumpkins and also succulent arrangement pumpkins, good for decor for home or office or anywhere! The rows of dahlias are fun to walk through. Pretty colors! This place is so cute! I have been working two blocks away and see their sign every day for the last 3 years. I can't believe I am finally checking this place out. Its so cute! The people here are so friendly and they have a cute little dog that loves to play catch! We came for the Dalias and they were gorgeous. So many different sizes and colors to choose from. Seemed like a nice place at first, but the owner groped my friend and I. later heard from other friends that the same thing had happened at this same place. the owner offers cute girls to feed his bunnies and touched us posing as a nice pumpkin patch kinda guy. many MANY of my friends have said the same.. Guy is a creep and be careful. he seems sweet and the pumpkin patch is cute but it is a big no from me. Do not go there. Absolutely a creep. read more

Yesterday my teenage son and I happened to find this charming garden when coming to the bocci place nearby. It was very special when we got to meet Matt, the tall sweet man. He spent time giving us a tour around. Dálias. All kinds. In all colors. Tomatoes. All kinds. In all colors. The beehives are very interesting. I'm reviewing for the Pumpkins and the Honey. The Pumpkin selection was diverse, with both high quality and eclectic sizes available. The atmosphere was quiet despite being in a city. The prices for the pumpkins was really good! Most being between 15-30 dollars. A LOT of time and effort went into this home-grown plot, and it shows in every element I saw. read more

UPDATE: Realized I never updated this review after we contacted the farm/nursery December 2017. We called and the man told us to come back and they would replace the tree that was losing life. We went back and they offered us any tree in the lot. Great customer service. We left happy and will be back because of that. Thank you. The people at this farm were great! Super friendly and helpful. We bought a Christmas tree on December 3 and by December 15 it was losing a lot of needles with any movement of the tree. Now we are conserving the time lit up in order to keep the fire hazard to a minimum. They did not give the tree stump a fresh cut- maybe we need to ask for that next time. Not even sure if they offer it, but all tree places in the past have given a fresh cut as standard. We have a reasonable number of lights on the tree (800 on a 6'+ dense tree), and have had more lights on similar trees that did not dry out so quickly. We are definitely disappointed with our purchase. For the price we paid for our tree ($65), we expect it to last at least a month before becoming brittle. Won't likely buy Christmas trees from here again. read more

Beautiful little farm that's a true gem! Tucked away on Post Street it can be easy to miss but absolutely worth a stop! They have wonderful pumpkins in Oct., Christmas Trees in Dec, a variety of fruits and veggies for sale throughout the year and of course gorgeous Dahlias in the summer! They also sell delicious honey that they harvest right there from their hives! It's not a huge space but they do so much with it it's incredible and makes it even more special. Have seen this sign for years. The lot we usually get our tree was sold out. This was the best experience. So happy that we found this lot. People are so kind and the stands they use are the only stands we will ever use. Easy and always have a tree that stands up straight. We will reuse the stand in the years ahead. Great pumpkin patch and garden area with a large variety of pumpkins. The staff is very friendly. They let us wander all around the grounds, and introduced my little one to their bunnies. The farm area is well set up and decorated for Halloween. Fun family outing. read more
