The generosity Dr. Jacobsen showed my son and I at our visit this week literally brought tears to my eyes. My son had to be sedated for his procedure and once Dr. Jacobsen got in his mouth there was WAY more work that needed to be done then we thought. I was feeling very overwhelmed about the cost and decided I needed to prioritize what needed to be done and only do the most important work to keep the cost down, but Dr. Jacobsen was more worried about the well being of my 7 year old son then he was about money and did ALL the work he needed at no extra charge. People rarely surprise me or impress me but Dr. Jacobsen showed my family genuine kindness and selflessness in a typically unkind world and I'm beyond grateful that people like him walk this earth!!

She is warm, knowledgeable, and has a calming sense about her that puts kids at ease. My son sees Dr. Ben who is friendly, always has fun shoes or socks, and is good at distracting kids while he is working. Half the time my son is surprised to hear that he is already done. The front office team is friendly and on top of it. My kids have liked all the dental hygienists they have had. The office is welcoming with toys, educational computer games and has bright and colorful designs. Every time we go there it's always impeccably clean. My kids really like the reward system they have in place there. If they have a good cleaning/appointment they are given 2 tokens. They can use those 2 tokens for a balloon or any of the prize machines (which are located in the lobby). I highly recommend this pediatric dental office. The staff is fantastic, the care is wonderful, and my kids aren't afraid or dread going to the dentist since going here. I came to The Kid's Dentist because of a bad experience with my child's previous dentist. Dr. Yip determined that my child needed a tooth extracted along with some fillings and crowns. It was very overwhelming, the amount of work that needed to be done on such a young child, but Dr. Yip took the time to explain the reasoning behind the treatments and our options on how to proceed. One of the options was the use of general anesthesia and complete the treatment in one sitting while my child was sedated. At first, the use of general anesthesia on such a young child made me nervous. But, Dr. Yip took the time to explain that the risks were minimal and that the ability to get the treatment done in one sitting instead of a possible four would save my child from the "traumatic" experience of multiple trips, shots, and drilling. The entire process only took a few hours and my child recovered quickly. Dr. Yip even followed up with us, after hours, just to check on my child's recovery. The best part... my child still likes going to the dentist and isn't afraid to go see Dr. Yip. The use of general anesthesia was well worth it and I would recommend any parent to strongly consider it as an option for their child's treatment. I highly recommend The Kid's Dentist. The dentist stopped showing us the x-rays automatically, instead I get told there's another cavity and go schedule the appointment to fill it and that's that. It just feels a little impersonal and like they're not trying to do anything else to help. The last thing that kind of put me over was the receptionist acting shocked the last two times I've been there when I needed to schedule the filling a month out or spread out appointments. My insurance does not cover the whole price of fillings. They are $100+ and I literally had to tell her, I am a single mom, I don't just have extra money lying around (which someone shouldn't have to explain). One of my daughter's fillings ended up falling out too, for no reason. I instead went to my dentist that I go to and they offered my daughter preventative measures that are super well priced so that fillings aren't necessary, especially for teeth that are going to fall out soon. Even their filling prices were slightly cheaper and the receptionist was super nice and let me schedule the appointments when I needed to, without question or hesitation. Plus, they care about you as a person and even remember things you told them from the previous time you were there. Overall young Kidz is pretty good for a dentist, just left me with a bad vibe.

There is one main doctor running the show and he has great chair side manner I guess you'd say? He does quality work. Haven't gotten a root canal from him YET but I'm sure it will be great. The practice wouldn't be the same without his wonderful staff. I think even my first time walking into the practice the receptionist knew my name. Which was a little weird but also reassured me everyone is really on top of the day to day operations. I'd honestly rather get a root canal over getting my teeth cleaned but It was actually the best cleaning experience I ever had. Stephanie was incredibly bubbly and nice and put me at ease. With high dental anxiety- that's not easy to do. One last thing I'll add I appreciated about Dr. Mosley is he didn't make me look at the close up pictures of my teeth. I always hated that part too. He did offer though! My husband has a lot of issues and a long road of fillings and root canals but we are excited to get started with Dr.Mosley. He even got an extraction at this place - which is never fun- but he was pleased with how it went. The next fillings he is getting are his front teeth and I'm so excited to see the confidence in his smile grow with each procedure. The front staff have been wonderful to work with, hygienists are on point and consistently thorough without making the process painful. Dr Gregson is personable, a kind hearted person towards my family, and above all relatable when discussing teeth. My 8yo just had her tooth pulled pre-orthodontic treatment. She declined nitrous oxide, shed 0 tears and wished the appointment was longer. Dr Gregson walked her out to the koi pond to feed and watch the koi and turtles. I dread the day he retires.
