My objective with my kiddo's teeth is to keep them healthy, and guide him into adulthood with as few cavities as possible. I absolutely do not want a dentist doing unnecessary work on him. After visiting Dentistry for Kids several times, and speaking with Dr. James, I'm convinced he shares the same goal. My son looks forward to his teeth cleaning visits at this dentist office. In our time there, he has had one small cavity, and having it filled by Dr. James was easy. My kid was as relaxed as he could be, with no tears. Also, hallelujah for child size x-ray films. The facility truly is amazing; it feels like stepping into an amusement park with rooms decorated in themes, and plenty of kid centric activities in the waiting areas. At the completion of their visit, kids get to choose something from the prize area, which is so well stocked, it is practically an event in itself. I don't personally know Dr. James, but it's apparent to me that he has a vision for his practice. He has created an environment where kids can grow up associating dental health, and dentist offices with positive experiences. He cares about the quality of his work, and the quality of each child's experience. Honestly, I'm surprised by the two negative reviews. Dr. James took extra time to answer all my questions, and address all my concerns. I'd really like to know if the people that had negative experiences bothered to discuss them at the office, where they could be addressed. If I could give this office more stars, I would!

We just took our four year old for her regular check up (every 6 months) and had a wonderful time. Crystal (sp ?) has been our dental hygienist the last year and she is absolutely excellent with kids. She doesn't force anything my kiddo isn't comfortable with yet. She put on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, my daughter's favorite show, and kept everything light and fun. Dr James came to take a quick look at my kid's teeth and everything went well. Quick appointment, done within 15 minutes, no wait. I'm always impressed with this place.

This place is wonderful!! I was so nervous to take my daughter to the dentist for the first time. She had so much fun and Crystal was so helpful and comforting the entire time. It was all smiles from our kiddo. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Yearly visit to the dentist. He's watching "Napoleon Dynamite".

The generosity Dr. Jacobsen showed my son and I at our visit this week literally brought tears to my eyes. My son had to be sedated for his procedure and once Dr. Jacobsen got in his mouth there was WAY more work that needed to be done then we thought. I was feeling very overwhelmed about the cost and decided I needed to prioritize what needed to be done and only do the most important work to keep the cost down, but Dr. Jacobsen was more worried about the well being of my 7 year old son then he was about money and did ALL the work he needed at no extra charge. People rarely surprise me or impress me but Dr. Jacobsen showed my family genuine kindness and selflessness in a typically unkind world and I'm beyond grateful that people like him walk this earth!!

She is warm, knowledgeable, and has a calming sense about her that puts kids at ease. My son sees Dr. Ben who is friendly, always has fun shoes or socks, and is good at distracting kids while he is working. Half the time my son is surprised to hear that he is already done. The front office team is friendly and on top of it. My kids have liked all the dental hygienists they have had. The office is welcoming with toys, educational computer games and has bright and colorful designs. Every time we go there it's always impeccably clean. My kids really like the reward system they have in place there. If they have a good cleaning/appointment they are given 2 tokens. They can use those 2 tokens for a balloon or any of the prize machines (which are located in the lobby). I highly recommend this pediatric dental office. The staff is fantastic, the care is wonderful, and my kids aren't afraid or dread going to the dentist since going here. Dr. Pham built rapport with my son in the lobby before heading back to the clinical side. I've been going to this practice for close to ten years and what is even more astounding is that a few years ago, Dr. Morrissey actually had four generations of my clan under her care. Four generations of teeth. So when she tells me, "Doesn't matter how much you brush, that problem is genetics," I know she isn't just guessing. What I particularly like is that both Dr. Morrissey and her dental hygienist take the time to get to know their patients. The entire staff is very pleasant and I never feel pressured into expensive procedures. Even though it is covered by insurance, there are certain things that I don't have done (x-rays every visit), and it is never a problem. We no longer have four generations under her care, because I ended up moving my boys to a pediatric dental practice. It is pretty amazing how they can turn those dental offices into an entertainment venue to distract the little ones from the picks and drills. So no TVs on the ceiling here. Just kind, professional care. And really that is my priority with a dentist.

"Um, I am not seeing you on the schedule at all" she said. I just can't with these people anymore, which is a shame because si actually like the Yan, she's a great dentist from my experience. She just needs to hire competent employees. Hopefully she'll call me when she does get a competent staff.

They called us two hours prior to our appointment to tell me they weren't able to take him because the change in insurance didn't reflect on their end. I asked the receptionist to please call our health insurance to verify that he was on the correct plan to be treated in their clinic. I also called myself while I waited for them to call me back. I was told over the phone that our insurance plan was in fact changed and he was able to be seen at that clinic BY THE INSURANCE. When I called the receptionist back she said she also called them and it wasn't changed (clearly didn't actually call.) Then continued to state it's "clinic policy" which is fine, but if she had actually called the insurance their practice should know it would be covered by insurance. I would have been fine paying out of pocket until our insurance reflected if that's what needed to be done. So now not only is my son still in pain and untreated, I now get to spend time finding yet another pediatric dentist and wait for their next availability. As someone in healthcare, this is really unfortunate patient care, especially for CHILDREN. Not very "pediatric dentist" of them. Disappointing.
