Just ordered takeout lunch today. Awful doesn't really fully describe it. First off the prices posted on the menu have not been updated. Kung Pao chicken was basically tasteless and the rice looked and tasted like it came from a box. Also ordered the steamed dumplings and the dough was so thick and tough it resembled leather. They said they understood my order over the phone but when I got home there were a few things wrong with my order. I told her I wanted a small side of vegetables without rice and she gave me a large vegetable without rice and CHARGED me the price for a large vegetable WITH rice. Have eaten there before. So I am shocked. The beef was thin and fatty . It was bland and seriously lacked flavor. The egg rolls were near about empty without flavor and greasy. Finally found a great Chinese Takeout spot in Wilmington area! Typical Americanized Chinese food..they also have some different options for diet specific and if you're looking for Hunan or Szechuan. My go-to order of Chicken and Brocolli, Fried Dumplings, and Chicken Rice soup was great! Nothing burned or too greasy...or odd colors. Even for a Sunday night, this place was very busy with lots of orders. The locals love the place! Definitely worth driving a bit more into Leland for good takeout! Typical take out so 4 stars.. Edit: the sesame chicken and cashew chicken are also great! I've seen a ton of customers also order the general tso chicken! It may have been a bad night (and I've had way worse) but their hot n sour soup looked more like a brown egg drop. And it has the weird taste you get when you add raw onions to a slow cooker or a dish without sauteing them first...so sad about that! read more

Some of the best Chinese food we have had. Boneless BBQ Pork is great quality meat and a wonderful flavor. Shrimp Egg Foo Young was perfectly cooked and sending the sauce on the side without asking was a perfect way to do a take out order. Closest Chinese food to a New York take out I've found in the Leland/Wilmington area. Food and service is very good. Unfortunately this is not set-up as a sit down restaurant even though they have about 8 tables to eat in. I've tried several Chinese restaurants in the area and this is the first one that really offers good Cantonese Chinese food. The facilities are clean, pricing is reasonable and staff are very accommodating and friendly. This is now my go to restaurant for Chinese food. read more

Jade Garden is a cozy little restaurant specializing in Chinese food. Located in the Food Lion shopping plaza off Mt Misery Rd it is a good stop for fast Chinese food. Their pork fried rice is excellent as well as their WonTon soup. I've tried the Sweet and Sour Pork (nice bite sized pieces), Pork Lo Mein (very tasty and filling with nice sized slices of pork), and the Pepper Steak (delightful flavor). The restaurant is nothing fancy but it is crowded during the lunch hour. I recommend calling in your order since you will have a good 10-15 min wait if you walk in. The staff are pleasant although the counter person at lunch is abrupt and not extremely friendly. If you like Chinese dishes the Jade Garden is a reasonable, tasty option. read more
