Unlike other laksas I've tried it wasn't watery like a soup but was more of a richer curry bisque texture if that makes sense. The chicken pieces were tender. There were lots of vegetables in the broth. My Asian barbecue ribs were sweet-savoury. The kimchi cabbage coleslaw was tasty but I just ate some of it because I was too full from drinking up the rest of hubby's leftover laksa broth. My ramen-loving nephew devoured his miso ramen. Sara was so sweet and brought my nephew to meet the chef and kitchen crew. She also brought us complimentary Asian style churros. She offered great insight into the menu as well as her brother Bobby's journey into this business and his intention of highlighting Laotian cuisine. I was describing to a friend how at one point, a random Christmas song came on the playlist (it was March). This restaurant consistently delivers outstanding food and affordable prices. Everything is made in-house, from scratch and nothing is from frozen. The owners are friendly and have been part of the community for decades - certainly a fixture of the Town. Everything I've ordered has been very delicious but my personal favourites is the Kwong Tong Chow Mein, Egg rolls, and Honey Garlic Ribs. The Egg Drop soup and Won Ton soup are hearty and homey. You can tell the dishes are made with care and love! I highly recommend the China Palace for all occasions. Not to be missed!
