That's not to say the mortgage process was 100% trouble free - - there were a few hiccups here and there but overall, the process was smooth sailing. Indira has heard all about my adventures over the last 10 years. When I left my job at Saint Mary's College in 2016 and spent years doing off-the-information grid field research (including through COVID), transitioning back to a radically changed world wasn't easy.
