I used to think he was a good mechanic I went with him to fix multiple things until I realized he was overcharging. He took advantage of my mother for being a women and charged her $120 for an oil change which if you know a bit about cars you know that is too much. I then asked for the price for changing my headlights and he was charging me $200+ when the mechanic down the street did it for $20. If you think he is a good mechanic make sure you compare your prices with other mechanics to make sure you're not getting overcharged. read more

I went to jaggars service for a smog check but I had a check engine light. Jaggars took care of explaining what the issue and estimate was explained thoroughly. They fixed the problem and smog past with flying colors. The price for repair was at a better value than at other locations/dealer. They answered all my questions and concerns. I went here because i live in the area & needed a repair that same day, decided to give this place a try since i had bad experiences before and just in a few hrs my car was ready & running better than ever. Once i got there a lady help me (maria) she was so helpful & nice and once i pick up the car fernando explain to me everything they did, gave me a receipt and it was a decent price. Fernado, is probably the most helpful mechanic guy you can go to. He has excellent service and is very humanitarian. My dad's car got stolen and luckily we were able to recover it and he helped us fix every single detail that was missing from my dads work car. This has been my local "indie" repair shop since the late 90's when old man Ray used to run the place. Bottom line, I do 90% of my own automotive repair, but on occasion, when time isn't available, I will take my rides to Jagger's. Everything you want in a mechanic you will get here. Honesty, fair price, fast turn around, excellent customer service if you have a problem later. Example: I had to take my 25 year old Lexus LS400 in to have the steering rack replaced. He did the job well and had the car ready the next day. 2 months later, the steering rack gave out and started leaking (poor quality Autozone rack, not the shop's fault). I took it back and talked to Fernando about it. Without any foot dragging he acknowledged the problem and fixed it at no cost because it is under lifetime warranty. again the car was ready the next day. So far so good. By far the best mechanic shop I've gone too, great customer service and very polite i recommend this place to everyone. The clutch on my car have gone out every place i went to would charge me ridiculous prices to fix it, but when i went to Jaggars they gave me a reasonable price (fair) left the car 2days later they told me it was done took a day and a half to fix it when i was carless for almost a month damm that sucked now im thankful for finding Jaggars. Unfortunately Robert and his dad have sold the business. It's under new management..I gave them a try to diagnose a intermittent warning light on the dash. They didn't find anything. Told me everything was OK. Charged me $20. 2 days later my car wouldn't start. To be fair, intermittent problems are the hardest to figure out. After that I had no confidence in Jaggars' new bosses. I've lived in this same city most of my life, but noticed that as of lately this place changed ownership/management...I went because of the recommendation, I told them "no rush, check it out call me if and when you've checked it out", this was @ 10 AM, @ 12:30 my wife suggested I give them a call 'cause she was going to need the car. I have been going to this business for approximately 24 years when it was owned by Mr. Ray. I continued going after he sold it. I figured he sold it to a trustworthy mechanic like him. In the begging everything went well for my car hardly had major repairs. But after a while car grew old and mechanic led me to believe car is old. But the only rare thing was that when I took my car for some problem he would never fix it for that problem it was other things rather than wat I told for. Ended up paying 600 dollars till I believe okay car is old. But now its weird cause got a car with new engine but all if sudden I had problems turning car on. Took me a while to get not started I took before car got worse. To my surprise he could find anything wrong with it. I toolkit twice for the same problem left it 3 days both times but he kept on saying nothing was wrong with my car. Ooh but that he found something else that his machine found wrong just like before. I hate that machine what happened To the old mechanics that new out of experience???? I asked wat does that have To do with my car not starting. He said nothing at first but in the long run car with stop working. I said well if there's nothing wrong with the car then I'll just take it back. Car continued not starting , it took me a while To start it most of the time. I thought of taking it somewhere else but I know no one else only him. And have no one to guide me. So after 1 week my after gasing up and not able to start my car the car start going up in flames. Starter burns. Took to him since he is the oy mechanic I know. He says well now I know wat the problem is and can fixed. After he fixed he said engine has water and this will cause starter to break again. I was like REALY !! car doesn't start and you don't know is the starter???now he says approx. 1500 to fix. I don't know if because im a woman and just pay wat ever he tells me because I comfy in him, or it's just my bad luck or wat. but I feel so disappointed.PLEASE HELP IN GUIDING ME.
