Not sure if this is the same business, but this guy approached me in public and ended up overcharging me for an unfinished job. He then spent a week ghosting appointments to finish the job and dodging my calls. Avoid him. 2 stars though since the work he did do was good

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN! He goes by John but who knows what his real name is. He works with an associate, Vince, who will target you to get your money. He promises a quick fix and you end up with your car in an off-color paint, and shit quality repair. I shelled out over $2000, save your money and go to a professional auto body shop. He has other bad reviews and people who got taken advantage of. Just check out Reddit as well: https://reddit.com/r/autorepair/s/JQsSjnHYqg

I highly recommend to stay away from this service, it is a scam. I was approached by Anthony Tan and said he can fix the scratches and dent with paint. After I removed the wax, the paint doesn't show up and made my car worse. I wasted my money and it's a hassle to get in contact with him, what a con artist.

The team at Carotech was transparent, honest, and actually found a real structural issue (three broken motor mounts) that the dealership completely missed while trying to upsell me on unnecessary fluid flushes. They worked with me on the pricing, dropped the fluff services I didn't need, and got my engine leak and mounts fixed for a very fair price. The car runs beautifully now--incredibly smooth and quiet. This is my new go-to neighborhood shop! God Bless Gary & Crew

We just needed a battery - but they came back with a estimate of $1,800. Initially they refused to provide an itemized quote. Claimed there were oil leaks. Eventually received quote, but it was loaded with unnecessary services (brake, fuel injection, transmission, etc..) Nothing to do with actual needs of car. Nothing to even do with "supposed" oil leaks. Note - some of these same services had been done less than 60 days. Final effort to just get battery replaced - after many attempted calls and texts. Eventually, they quoted $195 labor (on a $200 battery). Outrageous! When told to do nothing, we will pick up car. They then tried to charge a $275 diagnostic fee. Never discussed or authorized. Found this place because under CarMax warranty - as they are RepairPal provider. This was such a bad experience, pursuing complaints with Bureau of Automative Repair, RepairPal, CarMax. Images of quotes attached for proof. NEXT DAY UPDATE... - Car was taken today to a reputable mechanic and new battery purchased and installed for $250. - There was never an oil leak reported - and none exists, as today's mechanic confirmed. - why would Carotech quote $195 labor to install a battery? See the evidence. - Why would Carotech recommend brake service, fuel injection service, transmission service, spark plugs - when appointment is made for battery. See the evidence. - Why would Carotech have to be pushed to provide a quote in writing? - Women be aware - unfortunately, Carotech targeted my daughter. She stood her ground and escaped the trap.

However, I took my car "that I've always taken to the dealer for an oil change" here. And the next day it was leaking oil everywhere. Unfortunately, I wasn't in town to bring it right away, and had to bring it back to the shop about 2 weeks later . (Still leaking btw) they said it was the "gasKeT" and I would have to pay another $48 to get this repaired. They said I should have brought it the day after i got the oil changed. Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !

I have a precious 2002 Jaguar XJ Sport owned since new. Unfortunately I was rear ended and pushed into another car. Fortunately no material frame damage, but the front and rear were heavily damaged and thus the vehicle was totaled. I bought the car back from the insurance company and was referred to Rabih by AAA to restore it on my dime. Few shops would take this job on, but Rabih showed genuine compassion for my situation and my love of the Jaguar. He is a car guy. Due to the age of the car (22 years), it was hard to get all the necessary parts, but Rabih persisted and personally tracked down even the most difficult pieces to restore the Jaguar to "as new" condition. Some reviews say he is expensive. I am experienced in car repair and can say with authority he is priced right on the market, actually a little lower considering the EXCELLENT quality of his shop's work. Quality is critical for major repairs, or nightmares will manifest over time. My Jaguar drives perfectly and looks pristine a year later. That's what matters.

The shop is small. Only gripe is, it's located on a busy street and backing up onto the street to leave was difficult. If the car could be rotated facing the exit to make exiting easier, that would've been nice, but that's totally nothing to scoff at.
