They were absolutely right. From the moment the friendly bouncer smiled and said, "Step right on in," I was hooked. Yoooow!! The first DJ was incredible. He was spinning all kinds of trip-hop, indie, electronic, and remix-style tracks that had everybody partyin'. It wasn't your typical dance music, but every song seemed to connect with somebody in the room. The crowd was incredibly diverse, and it was so much fun watching people of every age and style dancing and nobody cared. The second DJ, a younger woman, shifted the vibe a bit and leaned more toward a younger crowd. It wasn't quite my style, so I took that opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and do what I apparently do best... chat with complete strangers. I'm a talker, and thankfully they seemed just as happy to strike up a conversation. This isn't some fancy cocktail lounge, and that's exactly the point. It's authentic. There were people dancing at the bar, grooving in their booths, bouncing in their seats, and filling the dance floor with great energy. I came by myself, and within minutes a cool group of strangers invited me to squeeze into their booth like we'd all come together. That's the kind of place this is. At one point they even offered me a glass of beer from their pitcher. I politely declined (look at me making responsible life choices... sometimes), but then I realized almost everyone had pitchers! So I sauntered over to the bar. I did have to wait a bit; apparently chivalry doesn't extend to letting a woman cut the line, but once I reached the bartender, the service was fast and friendly. Every trip back to the bar was the same. No complaints there. As the night went on, the energy just kept building. Before I knew it, I was on the dance floor sweating, smiling, and dancing with complete strangers. After a while, I had to retreat to the patio just to catch my breath before heading back in for more. My ankles are still sore... and the glutes? Fuhgetabouttit! The best part of the night wasn't the music or even the drinks. It was the people. Every generation was represented. Every fashion style imaginable. Every personality. And somehow it all worked. There was this genuine sense of joy and community that you just don't find everywhere. If you're looking for polished and upscale, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want great music, a welcoming crowd, zero pretension, and one of those nights where you leave happier than you arrived... give Bikini Lounge a shot. I went in not knowing what to expect. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. Ken, and two "Mexican" bouncers, one wore glasses, I think, and a biker steroid looking white male put their hands on my sister, sent her to the emergency room on her birthday and has caused lifetime worth of health, emotional, and physical damages to my sister that she was told she would have to undergo surgery to fix what these males did to my sister. This club should of been closed down back in 2010. Also they have all their Mexican whores jacking customers off in V.I.P. and other services from what was witnessed and seen by more than one person. Also the entire staff discriminate, and cater to the "LATIN," crowd only so don't waste your money in this sleazy ran place, and as far as the manager Rick is concerned, what made the owners think he is a good and honest person let alone a leader. He is a bigot womanizing pig for allowing his manager Ken, and his minions to do what they did, and put his hands on my sister. If this place were to be closed down, there would be no loss. I read these reviews and just think, Wow some so negative yet some so positive. After experiencing the club for my self it was nothing short of a great night "six hours" exactly at the establishment. Touching on some of the reviews I read yes the music is loud. I felt safe as I was asked for my I.d and was given a quick pat down before entering. Once inside the dancers were beautiful I have never seen such a variety of females in one club. This is literally my home away from home(or so I've been told ‍) its my go to spot.. Have already celebrated 5 of my birthdays here. & will continue to do so. It smells terrible in there. It smells like a locker room full of old women and fish. The men's bathroom smells even worse. I was there during the day time. Out of seven girls, five were ugly. All the ugly girls kept coming to me for some strange reason. I don't think it would of made any difference if the decent girls came to me. The place smelled so bad, it just killed my mood. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. The manager Ken sells the girls for prostitution and when you say no to his constant requests. He becomes violent and full of threats. He threw me out and threatened me with physical harm because I said no to a blow job in his venue. This club is a disgrace and is full of dangerous people, thugs and known criminals who walk around with impunity. Have 911 on speed dial. You are going to need it. I want to Jags and had a great time. The Staff was professional, curtious, and made you feel welcome. The waitresses were on it all night and I appreciated their attention to detail when I had a request. The food was prompt to come out and was awesome. At the end of the night, the manager greeted me and made me feel appreciated for comming in, he was awesome. I've been coming to this club for many years now and this place can be a hit or a miss depending on the night you go. I went Saturday night for the first time in a while and there was a lot of dancers that night. I got some amazing VIP dances from Angelica. The inequality for enforcement of dress code is ridiculous. My significant other is wearing a $300 designer plain white fitted tee and they insisted he had to buy a black T-shirt in order for us to come in...but I, was allowed to wear anything I want because I'm a woman as long as "I look good".
