I was waiting for someone I accompanied to an appointment and overheard nothing but complaining from her to other staff members. I can blatantly tell that this person is a problem child as the other staff member kept telling her things like just ignore it, don't push an issue that's non existent etc. To top it off she said out loud she has a cold coming on and did not have her face properly covered with her mask at certain points. She also did not correct a patient that did not have their mask on correctly. This gentleman walked in and boldly stated what a joke it was that he had to wear that thing (mask). There was a patient that was pregnant in the waiting room. I would think that they would hold the people that greet their patients held to a higher standard.

Doctor came in about 10 mins later for a 8 min consult. Office is old, the artwork is old and the people in the waiting room are old. Long story short, pretty good Doctor but expect to wait. Same story with my follow up visit. Waited in the waiting room for over an hour. Janice at the front desk is very nice and efficient.

The appointment was very easy to make. The first appointment, I checked their website to see which VIVID Eyecare location was closest to me and I was able to make my appointment. When I arrived for my FIRST appointment, the wait was not long at all. I answered a few questions regarding COVID and a questionnaire regarding my health and insurance. At the time, I had NO insurance, so I would be paying out of pocket. The first portion of the exam, was going into the room (which was dark for obvious reasons) and sitting at the different machines to check the inside of my eyes. Afterwards, I sat in the waiting area to see the optometrist. Seeing the optometrist, she asked me questions about my health, such as whether or not my diabetes was under control and any medications I might. She was VERY NICE and easy to talk with. It took a few minutes and I had my new readings for glasses. Once I returned home, I had an email waiting for me with my next appointment ALREADY scheduled. THIS YEAR, I popped into my scheduled appointment. Very short wait to be examined. Updated the optometrist on diabetic medication and updated the readings for new eyeglass prescription. I paid out of pocket and it was only $140. And just like last year, I had an email waiting in my inbox with my scheduled appointment for 2023. I would recommend this location! Also it is inside of LensCrafter, so you can come out with your prescription and purchase eyeglasses right there.

My most recent appointment at Vivid was on April 11th, 2023. It was for 3:00 pm. I was not taken back for my exam until after 3:45 pm. My husband's most recent appointment was on May 30th, when he needed an eyeglass exam and contact fitting. He also ended up waiting over 40+ minutes to be seen for his appointment. The doctor did the eyeglass exam but did not have the "brand" of contacts in stock to do his contact fitting, so he was told that they would order the contacts and finish the exam at a later date. He was told NOT TO FILL HIS EYEGLASS PRESCRIPTION until the contact fitting was complete, as it would possibly need to be adjusted further. So we paid, out of pocket, for an eye exam and prescription, that he could not use yet. On June 8th at 1:39 pm my husband called Vivid to ask whether the contacts had come in. He was told that brand was "on backorder" and could take up to 4 weeks. On June 26th at 4:30 pm my husband called Vivid again and did not receive a response. Cool. On June 30th at 10:16 am my husband called Vivid and was told to keep waiting - contacts still not on-site. (It's been a month now...) Cool, again. On July 17th at 5:02 pm my husband called and asked to talk to the doctor about options for different contact brands, as the waiting was absurd. We were told she'd call him back "before 6 pm" that day. She did not. On July 18th at 5:25 pm he again called Vivid and was told "yes, I see in your notes that you've been calling. I'll tell the doctor to call you back today." NO CALL BACK. On July 20th at 1:40 my husband called, again, and was sent to a voicemail saying it was outside of business hours and to leave a message. He did. On July 20th at 3:00 pm I called Vivid personally and was also sent to a voicemail saying it was outside business hours. I left a message, but again, it was not outside of business hours. On July 21st the doctor FINALLY called my husband back, saying she could see him the following Sunday for his contact fitting. Did she apologize for the nearly two-month wait? Did she apologize for all of the calls we placed and didn't receive a call back from? No, not once. On the day of my husband's appointment (today), she did not apologize for the runaround, yet again. I do not know how it is OK to keep a client who is paying completely out-of-pocket waiting nearly two months, and not calling them back once out of the how many times we called. The lack of communication and customer service at this place is beyond laughable. I'll be taking my business somewhere else, and so will my husband. I could spit with rage after dealing with them over this crap.

With me, I am handicapped in a wheelchair and I cannot walk, through the time of me knowing Dr Daniel Martin I've had a lot of ups and downs and he has always been there for me no matter what. I cannot begin to try to explain what a great guy Dr Martin really is he will listen to you as you would tell him about your pains but he would also listen to you about how your life is going and Hell you deal with things in life as being a paraplegic and living with it. Now, i may not be able to walk anymore but I have found many ways to reinvent the power wheelchair. Through the conversations that I have had with Dr Daniel Martin and the discussions and I did I would stick to him that I would have Dr Daniel Martin has given me the incentive to continuously push myself to reinvent the ultimate power wheelchair with Automotive off-road lighting. So every time I go and visit him in the office I always have a new surprise in a new redesigned additive to my permobil power wheelchair. God help you if you need a referral- you'll probably get to your specialist office only to be informed that it was never done. Dr. Martin on the other hand, is a really nice guy. I really like him a lot and he's down to earth. He'll listen to you and remember who you are. He's not an alarmist and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. I keep going to the office because I like him as a doctor- certainly not for the office staff. My only other complaint, is that it is not handicap accessible. If you are on crutches, use a walker, or require a wheel chair you'll never get in the front door since it has 2 huge steps. You'll never be able to use the bathroom either because that's not handicap accessible either. Unless they're hiding another restroom.
