Jaime did a tremendous job altering a leather jacket for me a couple years ago - he took great care to think through the alteration, and seemed to value my new jacket as much as I did. It was a tricky alteration - turning a man's cut into a woman's, with unusual seams in the sleeves that made shortening tough. He hit upon the idea of pulling the sleeves up into the shoulders and trimming there. It was brilliant. This man knows his craft, not many like him left. Beautiful work. read more

This place double charged me and denied it. They don't give receipts when you pay so that alone is questionable. They also didn't alter my dress the way I asked and the workmanship was poor. I needed an alteration for a wedding and this has all been a really stressful part of the process. I will never go here again. read more

I can't believe that I just found Jaime's Alterations on Redwood Highway in Terra Linda. I brought in a jacket that needed the sleeves shortened but it was a jacket with a lot of detail on the cuff: 4 buttons, a pleat and a piping strip and they shortened the sleeves and put all the detail back on the cuff. They are amazing. I highly recommend them if you have any alterations!!! Plus they were reasonably priced and they had it ready when I needed it. 5 stars!!! read more

Meticulous, precise, and superior craftsmanship. Very kind and approachable team. Jaime and team tailored a tricky Mary Katrantzou silk-cotton blend caftan--it has an intricate hem and pattern. They actually removed the hem to preserve it, fitted the dress, then reattached the original hem! The dress fits PERFECTLY. They also fitted a silk dress with huge ruffles--again, "fits like a glove". A pair of leather J-brand jeans needed re-stitching--no problem. Jaime absolutely saved the day for my friend. Her wedding dress needed major alterations, and had been messed with by another tailor in Concord. She was actually thinking of starting fresh with a new dress, which would have been awful. Jaime was able to completely rework the dress, and it fits my friend like a glove! I tried this place and LOVED it. I brought a chiffon pleated dress I burned a hole in and thought it was ruined. They totally fixed it perfectly, I can't even find the spot where the whole was. I thought my favorite dress was ruined. It was a super great deal too of $20. I am SOO happy with this place. Great customer service, friendly, excellent work and very reasonable. This is a great find. I also brought 2 pairs of jeans to be hemmed and they are also perfect. They still have the same jean bottom, the length was exactly what I asked for and also for only $20. As a professional umpire having a good tailor is a must. After losing mine a few years back I realized that there are very few left. After several bad experiences I have finally found a home. Jaime's was really great. My needs are very specific. I mean I have to wear dress slacks to a sporting event, and I have 10 to 10,000 people looking at me, from behind no less, for 2+ hours. I need to do whatever I can to look descent. Jamie was so great! He took the time to measure me up with my gear on. I came back about four days later and they were perfect! Two pairs of pants hemmed, one pair taken in at the waist and one pair had a specially rolled and weighted hem (not many tailors even know what this is) with a perfect military cut $46! Even my previous tailor charged me more than that. Really a great experience. I have been back several times since, and all of his people are really fast, and very, very good. read more
