My daughter's hoco dress was a perfect fit except the waist. It was a tricky alteration and I wasn't even sure it was possible or worth trying to fix. The dress has a mesh layer on top (two fabrics laid together; one a solid color and the other a mesh overlay) plus a floral appliqué. They needed to take in center back (and likely remove the zipper), recut the seam and reinstall zipper while keeping the integrity of the embroidered floral fabric. I read all the amazing reviews but still was anxious to pick it up two days before the dance! It is flawless. The craftsmanship is beautiful, the dress fits perfectly, and he was able to ensure the flower appliqué looked flawless. We are very very happy. Only drawback is it took 4 weeks; but guess that is a testament to how busy the little shop is, so plan ahead! read more

My train is extremely long and full, so creating the perfect shape is a bit challenging, but he has done an amazing job so far! I cannot recommend Mo highly enough! He worked on both my wedding dress and my husband's outfit and the results were nothing short of exceptional! My wedding dress was brought straight off the rack and fit me pretty well. However, there were tears in the mesh on the back of my dress and I wanted a bustle added. *Brilliant Idea* I brought my wedding shoes with me for the first fitting, which was perfect for Mo! He used chalk and pins to mark where the bottom was to be hemmed accurately. He also suggested hemming more of the material under the lace. There was no 2nd fitting for me, just a pick-up date, within 1 1/2 months. Mo also suggested getting the dress dry-cleaned and pointed out where it was dirty, which I hadn't noticed during my previous two tries on the same dress before buying it. Mo also worked his magic on my husband's suit jacket and shirt, tailoring each piece to perfection. The suit was previously tailored elsewhere, but my husband wasn't comfortable with the outcome. Mo removed most of the padding from the jacket's shoulders, shortened and tapered the sleeves, trimmed the shirt collar, and removed excess fabric from both pieces. Mo made a huge difference by transforming his suit. My husband's new fit was immaculate from every angle with clean lines, flawless structure, and total comfort. My hubby has declared that he's going back to Mo anytime he needs a tailored suit or shirt that they make custom in-house. When I picked up my dress, I wanted to cry. My dress looked neater at the bottom and the holes in the back were strategically covered by the excess lace cut from my dress. I was so panicked about those tears and being nervous that they couldn't be repaired or hidden without looking tacky. And then the bustle! It was perfect!!! Super easy to learn and Mo sewed a button on the bottom to help quickly find the hoop. What truly sets Mo apart is his craftsmanship, paired with his professionalism and warmth. Mo has an expert eye, incredible technical skill, and a calming presence that every wedding couple needs during wedding prep. He treats your garments like works of art and treats you like family. My daughter's gown took longer to be shipped and we received it the eve of Thursday, July 2. Because it's a holiday weekend, so many alteration places were closed on Friday and our event was the following weekend. On top of that, we had some campus visits scheduled the following week. Mr. Moh from Ariana Sewing shop responded first to my project request and I described the job and when it was needed. He responded very quickly to each of my message and accommodated to meet with us on July 5 (Sunday). My daughter's gown was all ready in time by July 11. Mohammad is a life saver! My dress arrived 5 weeks before my wedding and I started scrambling trying to find someone who could alter it. I reached out to some alteration services near me via Yelp around 4 am (that's how worried I was -- up late researching) and Mohammad messaged me 5 hours later, willing to take a look at my dress that afternoon (February 14). He assured me that he would finish the dress by March 14 (3 days before my wedding) but he finished it by February 27 (2 weeks since I first came to him!) I went to him for a total of 3 times (first meeting + dropping off dress, came the following week to try on and check for additional adjustments if any, and came the next week for final try-on and pick up). On the day of pick up, I ended up not liking the bra insert that the dress originally had (I didn't notice it before but the color didn't match my skin tone). Mohammad replaced it RIGHT AWAY within 15-20 minutes. One of his specialties is creating wedding dress bustles - he added buttons and hooks to my dress to create over 4 different bustles, which were gorgeous!
