She added an intricate bustle that contoured nicely, and added support to the bust of the dress so that it held up on its own when I chose to ditch the sleeves for the reception. Being small chested I've never had a dress hold up so securely - even through an entire night of dancing! And even though the dress was so durable, it was also still comfortable throughout the day. He took off 4 inches from the back and tapered the fit seemlessly. Now it fits like a glove. They're all saying the same thing about Maria being disorganized and unreliable, which was exactly my experience. And based on reading the negative feedback, I noticed this lady tends to deflect blame. Never her fault. Always something else. I brought in two pairs of jeans for hemming and a wool coat that needed a lining added. Price was affordable. She gave me a week timeline to pick up. I originally planned to pick everything up on Saturday, but I called the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could pick up a day early on Friday instead. She said yes. Thursday came and I called them just to remind them as I've had experiences elsewhere in the past where things got forgotten and I didn't want to make a 25 min drive and finding out my stuff isn't ready. Lo and behold, when I called to remind her I'll be picking up the following day, she said Saturday so I reminded her I called her last Sunday to change to friday. She said okay, she's not busy so she can work on it. I showed up Friday at around 11. My stuff wasn't done. Her employees were working on it. At first she mentioned pick up was supposed to be Saturday. I repeated I've made phone calls prior to change to Friday and she said yes. Then she said I came too early. Say what? We never confirmed on a pickup time. Then she asked me to wait additional 40 minutes. And she argued with me, giving me an attitude. I let her know she was unprofessional and disorganized and this was before I read all the negative reviews. It frustrated me because she had the whole week to work on them and she didn't. Will not be taking my business here again. I do not recommend her business.

We did do some research to find a nice clean location and this one had solid reviews so we gave it a try. Right across from Safeway and BWP in downtown Walnut Creek, parking IS metered but there's plenty of it near the entrance which is key when loading and unloading. I have (literally) years worth of laundry that I've been waiting to do because my machines at home are too small. Duvets, comforters, blankets and towels galore. I couldn't take them living in trash bags anymore so we finally took them here to wash and dry. Yes, its expensive. We used the largest machines- 80lb machines- and it was $17 a wash load. Good news is, drying is only $1.50 each 16 minute cycle. But the peace of mind finally getting these items washed and in a clean establishment is most important. The staff member was super friendly and was seen cleaning them entire time we were there, probably a couple hours. $17 a cycle feels high, but if that's your one load for the week for 80lbs of laundry is sufficient for most people, and that cycle only takes 24 minutes then you're into the dryer. You can be in and out in an hour if you load your machines right. We went around 5p on a Sunday evening, and it wasn't busy at all. 2 other patrons. Then it picked up and during the time we were there most machines were in use. No 5th star because its hot and stuffy inside. Theres a standing fan to try to help, but its broken. Wish there was AC.

After looking for a professional tailor on the Yelp app online, I selected Ariana's Sewing Shop business on North Main Street in Walnut Creek, CA. I walked into that shop with a formal gown that had an extremely difficult beading pattern. I requested that fabric be trimmed from my gown so at least 2 inches were equally removed from the bottom. Muhammad, the owner of the shop, is patient and he listens. I explained exactly what I wanted and how I needed my gown to look. He is meticulous and very attentive. He advised me and demonstrated with sewing pins how my gown would appear once the final changes were made. Due to the heavy and crowded beading, Mr. Muhammad hand-stitched the bottom of my gown, which illustrated for me his attention to detail while also showcasing the quality of his workmanship throughout a 8 day process. It appeared as though my gown had been manufactured in that exact style once he completed the work. I was happy and I recommend this sewing shop especially if you are unsure or you are a bit squeamish about getting your clothing adjusted and modified by an alternative tailor. Mr. Muhammad's expertise in tailoring is impressive. Discussing my gown alterations with Mr. Muhammad reassured me that I had chosen the right establishment, with a highly skilled professional. Future brides, please take my advice and get multiple quotes when considering wedding dress alterations. I reached out to Mohammad, the owner, via Yelp for a quote on altering my dress. He mentioned that he couldn't provide an online quote, which seemed reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment with him. Initially, Mohammad was friendly and knowledgeable. However, things took a strange turn when he started marking and ripping layers of my dress without confirming the price first. In the end, he quoted me around $2,000 for the alterations. I kindly told him I'd need to think it over and planned to have another consultation. That's when things went downhill. Mohammad became upset that I wasn't immediately agreeing to his quote, claiming he was offering me the best price. At this point, I had already visited two other tailors, both of whom quoted me less. He also made it seem like I was wasting his time, even though he was the one who told me he'd need to see the dress in person to provide a quote. Then, he went on to brag that no one could do a better job than he could, which was my final red flag. As a bride, I would hate for anyone to go through the same experience. Wedding planning is already stressful enough as it is, and I left this appointment feeling so upset I actually cried. Mohammad is a miracle worker. I needed last minute changes to my wedding dress, and he took on the challenge. Unfortunately, it had been poorly hemmed before, and I didn't know what to do with little time before my wedding so I looked for quotes on Yelp. He was the first to respond and I appreciated how many positive reviews he had. And they are oh so true! I was in within the morning for him to examine what had been done and what was left to do. He was also shocked by the state of the hem, and I wasn't sure if it could be fixed. Within a week of dropping off the dress, he fixed the hem, tailored the dress to fit me well, and made the train even more stunning. He also introduced me to his unique and beautiful bustle. The dress is truly beautiful, and Mohammad really saved my wedding day. I also appreciated how Mohammad listened to my story and needs. They're all saying the same thing about Maria being disorganized and unreliable, which was exactly my experience. And based on reading the negative feedback, I noticed this lady tends to deflect blame. Never her fault. Always something else. I brought in two pairs of jeans for hemming and a wool coat that needed a lining added. Price was affordable. She gave me a week timeline to pick up. I originally planned to pick everything up on Saturday, but I called the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could pick up a day early on Friday instead. She said yes. Thursday came and I called them just to remind them as I've had experiences elsewhere in the past where things got forgotten and I didn't want to make a 25 min drive and finding out my stuff isn't ready. Lo and behold, when I called to remind her I'll be picking up the following day, she said Saturday so I reminded her I called her last Sunday to change to friday. She said okay, she's not busy so she can work on it. I showed up Friday at around 11. My stuff wasn't done. Her employees were working on it. At first she mentioned pick up was supposed to be Saturday. I repeated I've made phone calls prior to change to Friday and she said yes. Then she said I came too early. Say what? We never confirmed on a pickup time. Then she asked me to wait additional 40 minutes. And she argued with me, giving me an attitude. I let her know she was unprofessional and disorganized and this was before I read all the negative reviews. It frustrated me because she had the whole week to work on them and she didn't. Will not be taking my business here again. I do not recommend her business.
