Stay as far away as you can. I can honestly say that this was the worst doctor that I have visited in my life (Jain Vivek). First the doctor was 30 minutes late, the office doesn't provide integration with MyHealth or any other medical apps, and the doctor had the worst bedside manner. All I needed was referrals to specialists and it was an immediate interrogation and hostile attitude. Dr. lost it when I told him I don't have time to "f" around if he couldn't make the referrals. I was with Kaiser for over 30 years and changed to a supplement plan just this year when I sought her out as my primary doctor. She was younger than most, I liked that she was in private office with her husband and hired mostly young who were looking for opportunities which she gave! Follow-up to my previous review. The OBG-YN next door she had referred me to mysteriously "lost" the appointment I had made with them, messing up my entire day. I just knew that was going to happen!! Dr Vinita went back and told them to cancel it after I told her that she was not a good fit for me and told her I would not be returning to see her. Why? That is just straight up vengeful. She had ordered an ultrasound on my uterus (a very violating procedure I never wanna have to repeat) which I had done and then she never gave me the results or a follow up of any kind. (Again, she also has not one computer in her office. She would have gotten the paper report.) That was 6 months ago. Now I have to get it done again because I finally was able to find the report online they found a cyst and it was so long ago they have to repeat the procedure! Something which I am dreading. And all thanks to this wonderful doctor that some of these people are giving rave reviews for. I have never in my life had such a nasty vindictive doctor in my life. I'm seeing reviews from patients who have experienced HIPAA violations, and billing violations. If you have experienced these things, please report this couple to be to the California state medical board! I don't know if they're legally allowed to do everything on paper and have no computers in the office, but this is something I would like to report I just don't know where. My doctor appointments are getting regularly achieved now and I can only thank Dr. Jain for her utmost motivation and care that I am slowly and surely heading a healthy life. She show her genuine care and attention to details. On the day I first met her she promised to take good care of me and she will be 100 percent on hand on my needs. Dr. Vinita Jain was so friendly and kind! She is very thourough, I've had an ongoing issue that doctors before her had dismissed because my bloodwork came back fine. She ordered additional testing, which really stood out to me! This shows me that in the future I can trust that she will listen to any concerns I have and do all she can to find the root cause. She recieved my annual bloodwork and gave great advice on how to improve my results. She was also able to see me fairly quick, prior to this I was having a hard time finding a new GP that didn't have a two month wait. I first met Dr Vinita Jain when I changed provider from Kaiser to John Muir Health. I was not in good shape I would say , my Hemoglobin A1C was on the higher side and I had uncontrolled diabetes. Dr Jain helped me a lot , she constantly monitor my medication and diet. It is also an eye opening experience for me about my health. Thank you Dr Vinita Jain so much because of you I feel a lot better and I now take things truly with care regarding my diabetes it's because of my frequent doctors visit and I develop a personal relationship with you that I care about my health. The female Jain was my moms PCP. She has violated my mothers HIPPA on numerous occasions by gossiping about her medical conditions to other non-immediate family members and vice-versa. She has held her prescriptions hostage on numerous occasions and is insistent that my mother see her even though she had recently undergone open heart surgery. Most recently she wouldn't refill her cholesterol medication until she did a phone appt. She is money hungry and rude, and most importantly does not hold up the patients well being and privacy. There are hundreds of wonderful physicians out there and this is NOT one of them. read more

He said all patients are liars and he only believes Doctors & what's in writing. His attitude is in the Cloud, he constantly provides feedback that the patient's to-blame & on & on. He was not open, jockeying for protecting himself and other immature noise. The front desk is crazy & provides wrong info. (ie ordered me to have a Catheter urine test when not required.) The doctor does not use and actively frowns (Quest sends me my results in the app, which she finds annoying) on the use of technology. There are literally stacks of paper files all over the office and the lady at the front desk writes on a paper calendar/schedule with a pencil. Once you get past all that the doctor is competent, but scattered. Multiple times she said she would call in an extended release medication for me and never did. She pressured me in to performing a pelvic exam, which if done by an OB is billed as a well-woman exam and there is no copay. She threatened to send me to collections when I asked if the copay, which I was not charged until after the visit, I got a letter in the mail saying I owed them a copay...not a word during or after the visit while making my next appointment. But worst of all...I have travel anxiety like a lot of people. This doctor does not believe anxiety is real. I called and asked for a prescription and she said she would call it in. She never did. That's not something a medical professional with any empathy would ever do to someone with anxiety. Talk about terrible. Finding a new doc asap. If you are in to old school doctoring and also frown on technology and honesty this is the place for you. I've been a patient of Dr. Vinita Jain for a long time and posted back in 2018 how she saved my life and how my oncologist told me to hug my doctor since Dr. Jain was persistent in finding out what's wrong with me (where others would have stopped testing). That wouldn't have happened if she didn't care or listen to my concerns. I appreciate her since she's straightforward and does not beat around the bush. We're working on getting my A1 C down and when I don't come through with what we've discussed, Dr. Jain will hold me accountable since she wants to take me off meds BUT I need to do my part. Yep, all the reviews are on point. Had the husband as my primary doctor and he was the worst. I had really bad hip and lower back pain and he was always dismissive. I asked him if I could get dry needling and he said it doesn't work, yet I did have dry needling in the past through another doctor. He said it was just "acupuncture." I've been going to Dr. Vinita Jain for over 10 years. I have never had a better experience of care & compassion. She listens to me and takes time to fully explore my health questions and concerns. My overall health has improved 100%. They are always available. She always explains my test results with me. Other medical services I went to through the years I felt just brushed me off. I felt like just another patient passing through their daily routine. Dr. Jain takes the time to get to know her patients and their needs. I can honestly say Dr. Jain has saved my life. I am now 64 and can say Dr. Vinita Jain is the most caring Dr. I have ever been to. I never have any problems with prescription refills and if I needed to be referred out to specialists she had that information for me before I left her office. Negative five stars. Run, do not walk, in the opposite direction to this doctor. Believe the other bad reviews. She was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor in my life. Extremely RUDE and disrespectful, ratchet woman. First, she tells me she doesn't understand why I take Tramadol and Nurtec. She tells me I don't need pain meds, I should just take Ibuprofen for my migraines, arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos, Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella, all of which cause severe pain, as if I wouldn't have thought of that after almost 30 years of chronic illness. I explained to her my pain all over my body. She had a frown on her face like she didn't believe me. Then asks me about my family history and says my mom wouldn't have gotten Stage IV breast cancer if she had been getting her mammograms every year (which is untrue, my mom found a lump 6 months after her mammogram). She asks why I'm on Tramadol. I thought I had just answered that question, so I told her because of my pain. She said, "What pain?" With this look on her face like she can tell I'm lying. Despite 2 visits and a phone call, she refused to refill my prescriptions (without telling me), including my asthma inhaler. On my third visit, I asked her why she won't refill my prescriptions and why she won't believe me. She started yelling at me and saying with an extremely sarcastic tone and facial expressions, "You tell me you have all these things wrong with you, am I just supposed to BELIEVE YOU??! You haven't brought your medical records and it's not my problem to get them. Not my problem!!!" She kept telling me I needed to go to my previous doctor's office and pick them up in person. (Which I found out later is NOT how it is done.) I told her that I had called and asked my previous doctor as her receptionist had instructed to send the records over and had no idea she hadn't received them. She kept her voice raised and kept repeating the above words over and over, talking over me, and how it's not her problem that she doesn't have my records and that it is my fault. I repeated myself about 6 times in answer telling her I did call them as her receptionist had asked. (Later, I called my old doctor's office and they told me Dr Jain should have had me sign a release of medical information and they would've sent them right over. That that is standard operating procedure and she couldn't believe Dr Jain didn't know this.) I asked if she could at least pretend to believe me until she receives my medical records. That seemed to provoke her more. I finally told Dr Jain she was not a good fit for me and that I don't appreciate her attitude and will not be returning. That's when she started yelling, and then said, "I don't need this! This will be your last visit!" like she was the one who decided this. Excuse me, but I'm the one with multiple chronic illnesses, I am the one who doesn't need this! She finally ended up giving me a quarter of the number of Tramadol I normally get a month, enough for a week. She tried to make it sound like she was doing me a favor by referring me to an OBG-YN next door. "I was trying to help you. I did all this stuff for you by going out of my way to the OBG-YN next door to get to in because I called her on my cell phone. No other doctor would do that." Excuse me? You aren't doing me favors. You are getting paid to do your job, which includes referring me to a specialist when I need one. (I didn't say this but I thought it.) The reason they didn't get my medical records is because there isn't one computer in her office. The receptionist (who is awesome), uses a paper calendar to schedule appointments. Dr Jain has no computers to look up my medical information. I guess she wanted me to pick up a box of papers from my old doctor. Not the way it is done in 2024! (I just found a new doctor and they pulled up all my medical information on the first appointment on the computer no problem. No need for me to do anything. No yelling at me and blaming me like I did something wrong and I'm a criminal. They gave me time and respect.) She does all her referrals and lab requests on paper only with no electronic back up. She gave me a paper copy of my blood test results. The new doctor I just went to the other day said there's no record of her tests she ordered in the computer system. She wears socks and flip flops every day to work. Her office is disgusting and old. Stay away from this wretched woman. read more

This review is regarding my most recent experience with Dr. Vivek. Not only does he lack basic compassion, he belittled me. I was seen for a very difficult situation and I thought I could trust my doctor to help me navigate through this difficult process unfortunately this was not the case. I went to my doctor for an exam & didn't get examined. He prescribed me medication without examining me & it ended up being the wrong medication. Vinita Jain is my Primary Care Physician. I have very well sorted insurance and have worked in the healthcare industry for quite a long time. I would choose her again and again as my PCP, and I have been through a lot of them. My first visit with Dr. Jain was a real show-stopper for me, why, you ask? 1. I was seen on time and Dr. Jain was there ready to give me her full attention. 2. She spent a full hour with me, did a physical, questioned me on all sorts of past and current medical issues or concerns. 3. She was caring, concerned, personable, and wanted to get to know me as her new patient. You may think to yourself "Well, of course she did, and that's what ALL doctors are supposed to do!" You know what, you're right! But, can you tell me of another doctor that actually does all of the above? I surely cannot! I've never had a better PCP in my life (apologies to a friend who was a former PCP of mine) and will continue going back. Also, seeing the comments about the front desk, I find them kind of silly. When I was growing up, that's how doctors offices worked, the front desk got their jobs done, they schedule patients and call other offices for records and referrals. I don't personally need the touchy-feely front desk gal who validates that I'm so special;) That last quip is actually kind of funny, because the front desk always knows who I am when I walk through the door and that DOES make me feel special. I really wish there was a way to leave less than one star on Yelp. I made the mistake of choosing the Jain's as my doctors...I've seen both of them at different times. They are both astonishingly rude, brusque, and prone to interrupt you in mid-explanation of what seems to be ailing you. On my final visit with them, I had made an appointment for 9:15 in the morning, just after they open. I ended up waiting to be seen for 45 minutes before I ended up leaving without being seen, since I couldn't spend any more time off work. Since I paid up front for my copay, I requested that it be refunded since I was never seen. It's been over three weeks and they still haven't refunded my money. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and choose another doctor. Even if you have to wait a few weeks to see someone else, you'll be much better off for the wait. read more

Dr. Vinita Jain saved my life. On one of my regular health visits, I told her some changes I have observed and she had 2 routine tests done. Both came back negative, she asked me to do one more test with the ob/gyn next door and at first I was annoyed but I'm so glad she persisted since they found precancerous cells. Got surgery within a short period of time and even the oncologist when he asked me what made me do the tests, I told him Dr. Jain was very persistent. He then told me to hug my doctor since she's a very good doctor who prevented something worse from happening to me. She is the best PCP I have ever had!!! read more

As others have said, don't go to the Jains. Vinita Jain is not only bad She is dishonest. I ended up having to call my insurance about being charged for having authorizations done.(Insurance said - They can't do that. It is part of what they are required to do in the insurance groups and agree to do. ) I needed an authorization for an MRI i got told i needed to pay the doctor $25 in cash. Or she would just cancel the procedure with no notice. That was pretty much the last straw. This was after a lecture of buying the wrong insurance. I had an HMO not a PPO ( funny both need an auth for an MRI) She refused to refill meds because she had to fill out paperwork for an authorization. Heaven forbid she do her dam job... My meds were so screwed up, its taken 4 months to get them straight again. If you value you sanity and your health do not go to this doctor. read more

This review is for Vinita. I've had such a bad experience I wanted to warn others on Yelp. This is my first time reviewing on here. I made an initial visit to continue a prescription due to a change in insurance which led me to this doctor. First visit I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room only to find out the receptionist desk never looked at my name on the sign in sheet in which I waited another 20 minutes to be scene by the doctor without apology for the mix up and long wait. Pro's: Close to my house. Con's: Doctor seemed too busy or had other things on her mind. She is on vacation a lot and it takes a awhile to get renewed refills. The few times I left the office they wanted me to make an appointment to do a follow up for things I didn't need to follow up with. I was made to feel like they just wanted my money because the time I did do a follow up she didn't even check out what she said she was going to do. Furthermore, I never got my results for the blood/stool test she requested. Overall, in my opinion I would recommend visiting another doctor. Vinita is unorganized and a bit out dated in regards to still writing hand prescriptions for you to give to the pharmacy. read more

These Doctors are the exact reason why I don't have any trust in doctors, I have been seeing Vinita Jain for 3 years and every time I have left there I have never felt as if anything was ever accomplished. You will be required to make an office visit for medication refills, and yes they will hold your prescription regardless of the necessity until you are seen. Waiting to wasn't bad, the office is clean and well stocked with reading magazines including an oversized sloppy poster board with a aspiring article about their son. Check-in/out is always awkward, you are greeted by name which is always nice, but when Donna the receptionist announces what your there for and what your scheduling for loudly in front of other visitors tends to be embarrassing. The actual exam is quick, the Doctor always suggests a new medicine without a diagnosis which I continue to decline instead asking for advise on a diet or lifestyle change before turning to medication. This created tension between my treatment and her in ability to treat me with medications. I should have looked for a better fitting PCD but out of convince in proximity I stayed. Billing was good until I received a bill that their billing department couldn't help with, they said I would have to make an appointment with the Doctor so that she can explain it to me. I did however have a scheduled visit that week so I waited, when I asked DR Jain about the bill she said it was for a conversation we had about cardiovascular, I was confused I have never been treated for or had any cardiovascular concerns before receiving that bill, when I flatly stated that "that conversation never happened" she became extremely upset and said "Donna has to stay after hours and work more hours to get medication pre authorizations, and I don't have to pay for that" and that I shouldn't have called her billing "worthless". I tried to explain that the whole conversation I had with them was a waste of time and they were quite rude, at this point she raised her voice and said "maybe you should find a new doctor"!!! Today I got a certified letter of her dismissing me as a patient. I honestly feel as if this was a waste of 3 years, I wish there was a way to interview Doctors before choosing them to be in charge of your health. read more

Dr. Jain Vivek is holding my husband's "maintenance" medication hostage until he can be seen with an in-office appointment. We can't afford to pay the office fees as his insurance doesn't cover most of the visit. I was told by this office that this practice is "Office Policy". I would like to see a copy of this policy. I will be reporting this to the Health Department and many more! I thought Doctors were supposed to care about the wellbeing of their patients! Maybe that should be part of their company policy. Other reviewers are right, this is not a good medical practice. I have Stage 4 breast cancer and Dr. Vinita Jain asked me inappropriate questions ("Didn't you have mammograms every year?") and suggested that I can be a warning to my friends to get their mammograms. I was shocked that a medical practitioner could be so highly insensitive. Also, she wanted to see me again in 2 months for no apparent reason (I am under the care of an oncologist) and I told her that I would not be coming in unless there was something specific. She had no response to that and I did not, and will not, be scheduling with this doctor again. The woman at reception was nice but kind of crude in her delivery; just unprofessional. read more

This may be taken down as I do not pay anything here as some of my other comments before. I have had multiple hospitilizations in my life due to multiple meical problems, especially so over the last 10 years. Since I start seeing Dr Jain and following their advise with their regular follow up, I have not had any hospital admission over the last 2 years. They are thorough, follow me closely, order appropriate tests and appropriate referrals depending on what is required. Most importantly, they spend time understanding my problems, are available to talk after hours at night or weekend, giving prompt advise. They are GOD SEND FOR MY FAMILY and are by far the BEST DOCTORS I have encountered over the last few decades. read more

Dr. Jain only cares about using you to make money off your insurance. She insists you make an appointment every month. If you don't have an appointment on the books and you need anything forget about it. She won't fill any prescriptions unless you come in so she can bill your ins. She holds your medications hostage until you come in and if you need them the next month you better have an appointment or you wont get anything. I have never had a doctor force me to come in each month when I am completely healthy and do not need to be seen. She also told a family member of mine who has terrible anxiety and panic attacks that she shouldn't take medication for it and she wasn't going to prescribe anything. Dr. Jain told her next time she has a panic attack to remember to breath instead. Beyond angry...worst doctor ever! read more

I just cannot believe that my wife and I remained patients of Dr Vinita Jain for almost four years! What the other one-star reviews say about her is so true! She automatically makes an appointment to see you within the next one to three months, even if there is nothing wrong with you. I saw her NINE TIMES over the past year, which was around SEVEN times more than was necessary. She is constantly having you take blood and urine tests, besides your "annual physical". Her files are "old school" massive paper files that are useless, since she piles on one test result over the other, and then has to flip through them for any information. Finally, she then asks YOU what dosage of meds that you are on! She also has made fun of the meds that my wife was taking, and has constantly tried to take over her care away from her doctor specialists, especially her OBGYN. This started over a year and half ago, but we decided it was easier to keep her as our physician. BAD MOVE!!!! Stay away, unless you want a lot of unnecessary visits and tests for the insurance billing, whether on Medicare or not! The "final straw" was her office calling me to pay a $10 yearly medication re-authorization fee that my insurance company charges physicians. I was on the phone with her office asking how can I do that, since I was sick, and it was a half-hour drive. Couldn't they just put it on my bill? No, that is separate! Finally, I heard Dr Jain say in the background, "Just have him mail me a check today!". Later, the office called to say that they had re-authorized my medication for the pharmacy to supply.
