Sure, it's true that the "fresh" fruits and vegetables are overpriced, and certainly the selection is not as great as something like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. The Acme is a store of bare essentials: those poptarts you wanted for breakfast, a nice bottle of gatorade (only $1 for the 32 ouncers as of this posting), a loaf of bread, et cetera. Also, I have never had to wait in line to check out. Not even for a minute. With three new self-check out stations, I think that issue has been fully resolved. Pro-tip: There is a dirt path on the 14th Street side of the Acme that leads to the train tracks. It's a cool place to drink a beer.

I'm not surprised because while I was there a lady came to the customers service desk & stated that it was pin holes in her cup of yogurt. How do you go back to a store with a half of bag of cookies & say this was opened. I started thinking that maybe the cashier switched the cookies. This is sad, I've never had a problem with Acme. People are shopping here as their preferred local store. Right now there is an impressive array of pumpkins, corn stalks, and autumn plants on sale for Fall. They carry local, they celebrate the special. And those who are looking for home made meals come here for an ever changing array of meal options which reflect seasons and holidays.
