Super charming atmosphere , and the best fried chicken and waffles that I have ever had!

I enjoyed my lemon ricotta French toast, sausage, and iced latte. My companion enjoyed her eggs Benedict, hash browns, and cappuccino. Overall, I would go back (lots of things on the menu I would love to try) but there are some considerations that might make it lower on my list: --It's a tiny place, like 16 seats --If they're full, you will be uncomfortably close to other diners --The hash browns are something else entirely...it's like someone filled a sheet pan full of potato latke ingredients, pressed it and made it dense, cut it into 1x1x5 inch sticks, and then deep fried it to a burnt brown (wtf!). It tasted like a latke crossed with a hush puppy. Also be aware that it's walk-in only and you pay when you order (so you have no way to express your dissatisfaction with the so-called hash browns). It's street parking in a residential neighborhood but I luckily got a great spot. Obviously this review got a little snarky. So let me repeat that I was happy with my food and think the menu is great. I only deducted one star! read more

Enjoyed chicken and waffles here. The owner is very nice and interacts with the patrons to provide a casual and welcoming atmosphere. The food is made right in front of the customers which is a plus. The restaurant is small and perfect for stopping in for a quick bite. They are conveniently located close to center city Wilmington. read more

Wanted to try someplace new and this popped up. Headed on down and couldn't find them as Google Maps showed them near the end of the street. They're a little further down on the corner. Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area. read more

Delightful and cozy! Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Limited seating but thankfully a couple tables were open still. I tried the eggs Benedict and had one of sweet Portuguese pie handheld desserts. The food was all made fresh and quickly. Eggs were great along with the unique log-like hash brown. I absolutely loved this charming local cafe. I highly recommend checking it out and getting a delicious coffee. My best friend lives nearby so we were able to walk to this local haunt. It's a super cozy cafe with beautiful interior design. It's very intimate and we were able to get seated very quickly. You order up front and they bring the food to you/bus your table for you. I liked this spot so much I came back twice. The owners are beyond sweet and kind. My first day I got a dulce de leche latte that was VERY good. For food I got the sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant. The croissant was slightly over warmed. It was a filling breakfast choice. We were a group of three. We shared the pumpkin pancake special. It came with an apple syrup. I loved these pancakes on their own. They were fluffy and nice. My friends got the ricotta French toast (she enjoyed this) and the polenta mushroom wrap (so yummy). The next day I went back before my drive home and got a vanilla latte that I adored. I also ordered some pastel de natas and a chocolate croissant. I went right as they opened around 9am, they did tell me that fresher pastries were gonna come out a little later, but I didn't want to wait to hit the road. Well this was such a fantastic find! After cancelled flights we are now road tripping our way to Connecticut we made our first stop in Delaware where we first came here for breakfast. Haven't never been here at all I was excited to go somewhere local and make the best of the road trip. This is such a beautiful restaurant nestled in the neighborhood where you instantly feel welcomed. We were made feel at home and customer service was just incredible. The inside space is full of charm and decor that you truly feel elsewhere. I ordered the Nata which was such a delicious small pastries and the lox bagel. They said they import those bagels from New York so I tried my first New York bagel and it was so good! I thought the flavors in the meal were fantastic and it was a great messy bite. My husband had the waffle with some apples on top which were so delicious. Over all this is a great experience and meal. I can see why this lance is highly rated and loved by locals. read more

The was delicious. My only wish is my French toast came warm. No worries I will take it to go and warm it up at home. The flavor was an unexpected delight. Coffee cake French toast filled with ricotta. We also had the mushroom polenta wrap. There were 2 pieces but only one made the photo. The service was good. You are greeted and seated. You are given a menu but place and pay for orders in the front. The ambiance is relaxing. You get the vibe of everyone getting ready for the day and preparing for what's next. Typically everyone stays for 30 minutes and keeps moving. That is perfect because this is an intimate location with limited seating. When we exited there was a line outside. First time trying this restaurant as it is new to Wilmington and DoorDash. I'm home sick and was trying to find something nutritious that wouldn't deviate too far from my healthy lifestyle and this was a fantastic choice all around. The first positive was the "Thank You" handwritten on my bag, an establishment that immediately shows appreciation for the customer is a great sign! I ordered the kale salad which was very fresh and all of the ingredients were perfectly balanced. I added the Moroccan chicken which was full of flavor and grilled well while still being juicy! The dressing helped with eating as my throat is sore due to this sinus infection. I didn't eat the pasteis de nata yet but I was pleasantly pleased to find that I receieved 2 because every delivery this week comes with one and I had ordered one! My order also was promptly prepared and delivered. If this is the type of service receieved via delivery, I cannot wait to visit. There was even an ingredient missing in my salad that when I reached out via social media my feedback was well received and concern addressed; again reason for high service rating! Did a Saturday morning brunch Yelp! search: CC+K had great reviews and photos. I'm not a huge breakfast guy, had the buttermilk pancakes with sausage, delicious... with a hint of cinnamon. Our sons had chicken and waffles, waffles with an apple compote. Not a crumb left. It's the type of place you could hang for an hour or be in and out in 35 minutes like we were. This restaurant has inspired to me resume my yelp journey. We ordered everything in the included picture. I'm going to start with the best item which was the pork pear sandwich. I consider myself a foodie and this might just be the best pork sandwich I've ever had. I kept stealing bites of it in between eating my own meal. The pork was juicy but not so much that it ruined the bread. The bread was crispy on the edges and the rest was airy and soft. The pear and dressing in the sandwich just pulled it together perfectly. Again, top 5 sandwiches either of us have ever had. My French toast was so cute and delicious. It had the perfect amount of toppings and had good quality bread. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The pastries were fun and very well baked. The pasteis de nata was creamy and melted in your mouth. My matcha was sweet so if that is something you like you'll love their matcha. The Yerba mate was unique and reminded us of kombucha. The workers were also very welcoming and you could tell they took pride in their work. They checked in on us and the chef asked how we enjoyed our pork sandwich (he seemed proud of it and honestly he has every right and then some to be!) We will absolutely be coming back. read more

It's been open for less than a year but it's always packed on the weekends so make sure you come with only a few friends. The fall menu is awesome. The pumpkin pancakes are a crowd favorite with a sweet filling layered in each bite. I love the crispy polenta wrap especially when you get a bite with the marinated mushrooms. You can never go wrong with an egg, cheese, and sausage whether it's on a bagel or a croissant. The coffee is good (not a coffee drinker but my friends like it) and the hot chocolate is made with chocolate melted by hot milk. I'm looking forward to trying the lunch menu soon! read more

Love this welcoming and adorable cafe/coffee shop in Wilmington, not far from Cool Spring Park. Visited on a recent Saturday morning with a friend. Though the place is small, we were able to easily grab a table. The staff greeted us enthusiastically and directed us to order at the counter after which our food and coffee were delivered to us at our table. Our coffees were delicious --- I chose a maple spice latte, while my friend tried one of their iced lattes. We also tried natas, delightful Portuguese egg custard pastries that were a perfect sweet treat to complement our coffees. For my main entree, I ordered the Veggie wrap with scrambled eggs, veggies, and a delicious parmesan spread. My friend ordered the Madame Mortadella off of the brunch menu, which was a Croque Madame with added mortadella and proscuitto. We both really enjoyed our meal. It's also the kind of place that invites you to linger and catch up with a friend over coffee, and where the staff really strives to know your name. We'll definitely be back! read more

We were greeted by a warm and friendly voice upon arrival. Although they were crowded, we were quickly seated at the bar along the wall. Menu selection is fantastic for regular breakfast and weekend brunch. We had the chicken and waffles along with the polenta and mushroom wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and generous portions. Coffee was also on point. The room is cozy with exposed brick and the open air kitchen. So glad we tried it today and will absolutely put it in our regular rotation. I went to this restaurant and I realized before I entered that this was a very local, neighborhood establishment. I really enjoyed talking with someone that was local as she waited for her food. I learned her impression of this restaurant. I can say that the food, and the service was outstanding, and nice neighbors is always a bonus. My job takes me to many areas, and I try when possible to eat at local restaurants and experience the neighborhood and the food. I am very appreciative that everyone went out of their way to make my breakfast experience memorable. I enjoyed the welcoming environment when you arrive, not everyplace has that vibe, the staff sets that bar to include you at their restaurant. I loved the peaches and bee pollen salad, it may not be everyone's taste, but it really stopped the hungry feelings for me, all the ingredients seemed to work together perfectly. read more

Chill little breakfast joint right off I-95~ the service was fast and the partner/chef had excellent recommendations. I was a little skeptical of the Squash Waffle with Swiss foam but it was so tasty! We also got the French toast which was really sweet. The cappuccinos were perfectly roasted, no need for sugar cause they don't burn the beans here. The bathroom was cute and they even have a changing table to accommodate families. Absolutely fantastic place!!! The food is unique and absolutely out of this world. I had the Bougie cheese steak and I really think it was the best cheese steak I've ever had. The roll, amazing! The cheese, whipped and when it melted over the steak, it completely and evenly coated everything on the sandwich! Absolutely out of this world!!! My wife had the Chorizo Hash and it was absolutely fantastic. It wasn't overly strong, which I often find chorizo to be, I could actually taste it. The place itself has a fantastic homey vibe. We ordered the Ricota French Toast and the Cacio e Pepe Grilled Cheese and during a previous visit, the Tiramisu Pancakes. All three dishes were phenomenal, from the house-made ricotta, soft bread, peach compote, grilled cheese filling, and flavorful pancakes. The owner was friendly and welcoming. I really wanted to love this place, but it was, unfortunately, a huge miss. It was a little busy when we got there, so me, my husband and my 5 year old squeezed into a 2-person table. Put in a simple order for the empanadas and toast, which took 45+ minutes to deliver. As we waited, practically the whole rest of the floor turned over with new people sitting, those tables being served and passed to the next group. My 5 year old was really starting to get testy, so I finally said something to the staff, to which we were told our food was mistakenly given to door dash. They did try to compensate with extra pastries upon receiving our food, which was nice, but not something we'd eat/need. On top of it all, upon receiving our food, the toast was bare and dry (we requested butter so my son would finally have something to sit and eat) and the dough for the empanadas was still completely raw, so I was unable to sit and eat there. Finally, we went home to re-cook the food so it was edible. Upon eating the empanadas, they were pretty dry and taste-less. Unfortunate, because the food there does look tasty, and I do wish we were able to experience that. I'm really hoping the growing pains get figured out, because I tend to love places like these. read more
