My go to place for sweet delicious boba ! The atmosphere is very nice as it is glooming with high LED lighting with European style angels. It has a nice modern feel inside the shop. I absolutely LOVE their wintermelon black tea with boba. Its a sweet and refreshing drink. I also ordered the chai vanilla milk tea. This option if perfect for those who do not drink boba often and just want a refreshing sweet drink. The service is exceptional as staff always welcome you with warm greetings. Ngl vanitea café has never let me down good recommendations great boba flavors, cool spot, but today let me down I won't take away from how great their boba is and everything but today was a bit different, I ordered my drink it came out pretty quick, I quickly realized that it was missing boba so I just let them know they put boba in it problem solved, I left happy drink tasted great but towards the bottom I got not one but two pieces of plastic that cut the back of my throat and almost choked on it twice, the first piece I was I but upset but I understand accidents happen, so I decided it was also fine but the second time I got the shard of plastic that I almost swallowed I had to come on here. I've been coming to Vanitea for a while now, and it's about time I finally write a review because this place consistently delivers. First off, the ambiance is super cute--think chic with a modern twist. Somehow, they've mixed various design elements together, and it just works. There are tables perfect for small groups, and if you're in the mood for a more relaxed vibe, there's a comfy couch that feels like a cozy living room setup. The drinks here are customizable, which I love. You can adjust the sweetness level anywhere from 25% to 100%. I usually go for 25%, and it's the perfect balance--never watered down. There are tons of options, from slushies (with or without dairy) to teas and iced drinks. And for anyone with dietary restrictions, they offer great dairy-free options like soy, coconut, almond, and oat milk. Vanitea also has a fantastic dessert selection. Their macaroons are not only gorgeous but super flavorful, and they even offer Sanrio character macaroons that are almost too cute to eat. They recently added brick toast to the menu, and I'm excited to try it--I've loved it at other spots, so I'm sure it'll be great here too. The only downside, and this has been an issue for a while, is the bathroom situation. It's been out of order for what feels like a year now, and having to go to Starbucks or elsewhere is pretty inconvenient. Also, there's no trashcan inside, which is odd--you have to throw your trash outside. The servers are kind, not overly chatty but just right for the vibe of the place. Overall, Vanitea remains a favorite spot, especially for mommy-daughter dates. Your run of the mill local boba shop. Nothing super fancy, but all the drinks we've ordered from here has been perfectly fine.

I usually come late at night after visiting family in the area and before a long drive home. It's usually not too busy when I go and staff is pretty quick getting out drinks. The light decorations make the vibe fun and nice for a photo-op with your drink. My favorite drink to get is the green tea Kit Kat snow bubble. This part of Chula Vista needs a better boba spot, because Vanitea is not cutting it. The already pricier milk tea lacked taste (very watered down and minimal matcha flavor), texture (house pearls were not bouncy or chewy at all and not creamy/milky at all), and aesthetic (compare advertised to actual drink, mind you I DID NOT shake the drink). The two workers were more invested in chatting than fulfilling orders. Only bright side, open late haha. Edit: owner reached out and claims my drink was something else, so workers made the wrong drink. Glad the boba shop values customer satisfaction. read more

My friend told me about this place and we decided to get some dessert after eating pho (a couple of doors down from this place). My friend mentioned they renovated the place and that it seems to be under new management. Seems like good decisions were made as the place is cute and serves some delicious drinks. Thanks to person taking out order as we had a lot of questions lol. He was patient to go through the menu with me in regards to which drinks can be made dairy free (sun out for an alternative milk option). Based on the options I ordered a Match'ata' drink with no boba. So this is a combo of horchata and matcha. It was sooooo good! I've had this drink at other places and my fav so far is the yhe one from Vanitea cafe. It means more on the horchata flavor,but you can still taste the matcha. Both flavors compliment each other and make for a delicious drink. Highly recommend this drink if you have not tried it already. Cute Instagram pictures were taken besides enjoying my drink. I'm a teacher and I brought 24 of my 2nd & 3rd Graders, plus several parent volunteers to the Chula Vista location. It was for a classroom reward. We received EXCELLENT customer service from Amick, Hannah & Nate. They were friendly, courteous and efficient. We gave them our orders ahead of time, so we received our delicious drinks & treats as quickly as possible. The seating and decor of the interior, including the restroom, were all very neat and clean. So were the tables and chairs outside. The ambiance and music was upbeat and hip. Stopped by after grabbing pizza next door. Tried the peach mango snow bubble milk tea with strawberry popping boba. And an Apple jasmine tea with lychee jelly! Macaroons of all kinds of flavors. Beware one of their default tip setting is 37 %. This is what how they explained why my 19 dollar order came up to 29.94. I asked them why they had a ridiculous default tip amount they said it was a 37 % tip. I asked then to refund the tip portion since all I saw when I tapped my cc was the actual total but they said it was not possible to just refund that amount. I would drive back to the store reoreder every thing. And that they did not want to lose out on 2 orders of macarons a snowbubble and a slusy. Went to Vanitea Cafe and I enjoyed myself there with their diverse menu. Parking: it's located within a shopping plaza with a good amount of food restaurants but parking was easy and I was close to the store. Service: with it being my first time there the servers were very patient with me as I took a look at the menu. Food: My wife ordered a coffee drink but i Don't remember the name of it but I ordered the Capn Crunch snow bubble with almond milk and boba. We also ordered some macaroons, there was one seasonal one but the one I personally ordered was the Blueberry Lavender. The snow bubble was very tasty and the boba complimented it a lot (to me) With it being hot recently this helped out a lot! The macaroons were alright, The blueberry lavender, didn't have much of a taste to it and I wasn't a fan of it. When looking at the line up of macaroons I realized there was still a lot left but I figured because people have their favorites. Ambiance: the store itself is very welcoming with plenty of seating. The music was nice as well, mainly hip hop lo-fi music which I am a fan of. There's also a couch under a neon light to where you can take some good photos at. It's a great place to go for a cool drink or hang out with friends as well. Overall: I enjoyed myself here. The snow bubble was the star of the show but the macaroons didn't cut it for me sadly. It won't stop the fact that I would come back and try something else that they have on their menu. read more

Came in on Friday, ordered 4 drinks, 3 with boba (which you pay extra for), 1 without. Paid over $30, got home and when passing out drinks, realized 2 were mislabeled and still wrong! I asked for CapnCrunch with boba, got it with the Chocolate label. Asked for Chocolate NO boba, got it with CapnCrunch label WITH boba. So my daughter is younger and hates boba. She didn't want her chocolate anymore. I drank my capncrunch without boba. Called in and was told I could return for them to remake my drinks correctly, SORRY BUT I DONT HAVE THAT TIME OR ENERGY on Friday night. She said come back any other day and we'll make your drink. Came back in Sunday; manager came over and said "No, had to be same day." Ummmmm, wtf?! You think I'm playing, or live next door?! Please, keep your boba and lose my business. This place is amazing! The drinks are always on point, very flavorful and not too sweet. I always get the avocado snow bubble since they use Hass avo to make this drink :) . You can tell it's quality stuff when drinking it. The boba was fresh and chewy too. The vibe here is super chill, they recently did a remodel with a more warm and welcoming look. My go-to place for tea over the years. Being located right by the freeway entrance, it's a perfect spot to grab a treat whenever I've been out and about. Though I usually only get the same drink every single time (I could never get enough of winter-melon tea), I consider the quality to be the best in the area, and my friends who also come to Vanitea agree that this spot offers the best drinks in comparison to other places. The employees are very kind as well; I've gone here for years without interacting much at all at the establishment--I get my drink and leave almost immediately every single time. But the manager Becca has gone out of her way to remember me and my order over the years, treating me as a valued regular. Something I also appreciate about Vanitea is that it's small, yet cozy little space where I will often see people spending their time hanging out or doing remote work on their laptops. The few times that I do stay sit down at the cafe, I like to sit outside and take in the breeze, contemplating while drinking my tea. The only thing I can really say against Vanitea is that when it gets cold outside, the heating inside gets suffocating--but that's mostly just me. Either way, Vanitea's pretty great. Came in on friday after work with my daughters and loved it, very welcoming and cozy. It was our first time coming they have a wide variety of drinks on the menu, the cashier a young Hispanic girl unsure of her name was so polite and helpful with the menu suggestions, helping the customers in front of me who spoke spoke Spanish love to see the inclusivity! She immediately greeted us as we walked in the door and was patient with us choosing our drinks answering our questions working fast on all of the drinks. Looked for a bubble tea spot after chowing down on some carne asada fries and this was the first thing to pop up. I stayed in the car while my cousins ordered. I wanted the taro and ferraro rocher mix. My cousins told me the staff was a bit confused with my order. 2 drinks, taro and ferrero rocher?, to which they said, no, mix it up please. So the staff did so and ended up liking the combo :) They made my drink really good, whats not to love about taro and hazelnut chocolate. And combined?
