However, she's serious and ultra-cautious when it comes to looking after her patients. At the end of both pregnancies, my blood pressure was high and she was very firm and clear about how serious it was. She had me come back in to see her every other day until I delivered to make sure the baby and I were okay. I have been so insistent on having Dr. Mann as my doctor that I kept driving all the way to Cambridge for my second pregnancy, even though we had moved 30 minutes away. Everyone from the security gaurd, to the receptionist, the counselor, and medical professionals performing the procedure and ultrasound made me feel extremely comfortable and calm throughout the process (which I will admit I was nervous about). She saw me quickly, and sat me in her office going over my history, before launching into the examine. She made me feel very comfortable and was very personable. While waiting in her waiting room, I was surrounded by all these pregnant mothers, and they all seemed very happy and confident with her treatment, so that made me feel better, as well. I was seeing her for a recurring issue which she assured me she would be able to tackle after I explained that I had seen many gynos for this same condition and didn't want to be put on the same meds again. she said she would work with me to figure out a different approach and then never did. After the first appointment she told me she would do some more research on new meds and alternative treatments for my symptoms, but the second appointment rolled around, and she started the appointment with "why are you here again?" she didn't remember me and also failed to read my paperwork beforehand or do the research she meant to do-- she asked me if I had my year exam and I said yes I literally just had it done with her the week before. she started to piece it together and said she would do the research she previously promised and get back to me-- this went on for multiple appointments-- all of which I was fully charged for which was very upsetting-- i felt like I was being strung along, she'd book another appointment and fail to have any answers by the time it would roll around just to ask me to book another one. she was very kind but ultimately unhelpful and unprofessional. I also want to add that the portal system they use is really convoluted and confusing, messages I sent through the portal often were not responded to, and on the flip side I happened to have an outstanding balance on there that I was never notified about (no phone, email, or text reminders!) other than it just sitting there under a different tab which also felt kind of strange.

Fast forward a few days later and I arrive for my appointment and was greeted by reception and Amanda was fabulous and made my first appointment easy. The MAs were great too. Then, I met the NP and it all went downhill from there. The NP has terrible bedside manner. I was met with a judging demeanor and was pushed to get on birth control and not even warned with any of the side effects and she didn't really care that I wasn't interested in it. Later she called me to give me my results and her tone was almost sarcastic , it really upset me. I think NP Brianna can use some lessons on how to treat patients with respect.

She even asked about a vacation she knew I'd been planning when I hadn't seen her in over a month. When I was in labor, she was the doctor on call and I was so pleased that she could be there for the delivery. She is all about treating the whole woman. She is humble, modest, and extraordinary. Her staff obviously adores her, and she treats them very well as well. I have a vaginal hysterectomy, minimally invasive, and was feeling better within three days. I can't state strongly enough that if you have any need for such surgery, she is the one to go to. She's also super funny, warm, kind, and completely puts you at ease. I am a scientist so read her pathology report afterwards, which she kindly provided. She is thorough, careful, conservative, and methodical about her surgery and pathology afterwards. You could not ever do better that Dr. Gomez-Carrion, and I sing her praises wide and far. Thanks to her, I am pain, worry, and uterus free, YAY!
