Horrible dentist! This dentist does not care if he hurts you! He is the worst dentist i have ever been to. I had a root canal which took him 7 hours straight to do. He works on you then goes to another patient which would be fine if he came back in to check on you. Sometimes I have wondered if he was out to lunch. He doesn't if he is hurting you just keeps working. My root canal was placed at an angle so its sticking out in a weird way, and its so big he had to first, and not enough. I also had a crown put in which is like a huge marshmallow in my mouth. My front tooth is now crooked. What a waste of braces. ​ read more

Visited Doris dental on June 11th for snap ins. Dr. was pleasant. They needed to request records from my original dentist before making an appt for procedure. weeks went by with no phone call from Doris, so I called.. was told I would , again, receive a call for an appt. No call. Called again today , Mon. July 29th..this was a waste of my time, gas money and i could have received my replacement upper denture definitely within this time of me waiting for a simple phone call.... good business starts with good customer service. I had made an appointment here at the beginning of the week not knowing if they would take my insurance, I really stressed to please let me know before my appointment if they take it or not. I never received a call saying they don't, so I assumed I would be good. When I got to my appointment they made me fill out all of the paperwork and wait in the waiting room to tell me 10 minutes later they aren't going to take my insurance. I could have made an appointment somewhere else by now but I'm back to square one. They had me come all the way down here to tell me in person, this office needs to get it together. read more

Terrible, got a crown for my new patient visit, been a week with the most outrageous pain. Called and thankfully they told me to come the next day sadly all he did was drilled and sent me home with the same pain. Very bad experience, not only with the staff, but with Dr. Dores himself. At my most recent cleaning at my regular dentist who I've been going to for over 20 years, I was told I needed to have a filling. When I went back to the reception area to set up the appointment, I asked how much a filling cost currently and was shocked to find they had recently raised their prices to nearly double what they had been, a filling now costing nearly $300. Having no Dental Insurance, and having to pay for any services myself, I said lets hold off on that appointment as at that price I simply can't afford to get the filling done here and need to shop around to find adentist I could afford. A few days later, I called Dr. Dores office to ask how much a composite filling cost there. The person I spoke with would not tell me, saying "well, every person is different.". I asked if they charged different prices depending on the patient...? Was that what they meant? Instead of answering me, they said I could come in for a consultation and discuss that with the dentist, and asked "would 3pm or 5pm on Thursday be better?", the typical manipulative 2 option sales close. I said that I was only looking for a price for a filling, as I had no dental insurance and had to pay for any services out of my own pocket. I explained how my regular dentist who I've gone to for over 20 years had recently raised his rates to nearly double what they had been and I simply could not afford to pay that much, and just needed to find out how much a filling costs at Dores Dental. like a typical manipulative sales person, my explanation was ignored and again I was asked "so would 3 or 5 on Thursday be best?" I responded by saying that if this was the only way I was going to find out how much it will cost me to get a filling done then lets make it 5pm. I was incredulous when she told me someone would be calling me the following day to find out about my insurance coverage. I told her that I had already explained that I didn't have any dental insurance and that's why I was trying to find out how much a filling cost. "Oh..." she said, "well, we'll see you at 3 o"clock on Thursday". "We just said 5 o'clock" I responded, a moment of silence and then I heard "we'll see you at 5 o'clock on Thursday". "See you then..." I said and hung up. The night before the appointment I got a phone call from Dr. Dores himself. "I just wanted to welcome you to Dores Dental" he said, giving me an uncomfortable sense of being manipulated once again and obligated to join his practice. But I thanked him, and then was told to feel free to contact hm if I had any questions. I told him I did have a question when I had called the office and they would not answer me. After a moment of silence, he asked what it was I wanted to know. I asked him directly how much a composite filling cost, and explained that I was told the price depended on the individual patient. Dr. Dores then went into an explanation about how a cleaning and inspection needed to be done before it could be determined what kind of treatment any patient required. I explained that I understood that, and had just recently had a cleaning and inspection done, and was told that I needed a filling on the outer side of tooth #2, but couldn't afford to have it done there because they recently raised their rates to nearly double and I just couldn't afford it. Again, I was told he would need to do an inspection before he could tell me what a filling cost at his office. I said "if that's the only way I'm going to get an answer, I'll see you then", and hung up. I didn't like the evasiveness I felt from him or his staff, nor the sense of manipulation that I felt being used so strongly on me, and kept having feelings that I should cancel the appointment and not even deal with such evasive, deceptive, and manipulative individuals as this at all, but I needed to get a filling done, and told myself it may just be me; I may just be taking things wrong, perhaps been in a bad mood and hadn't realized it, and maybe they would seem nicer when dealing with them in person. So, I kept the appointment. Upon arriving, I was again told " welcome to Dores Dental" and again it didn't feel welcoming at all, it just felt very manipulative and very creepy. I was told they had paperwork that needed to be filled out, and the staff member came around to where I was standing and handed me a clipboard with 6 or 7 pages attached and asked me to have a seat and fill them out and return them when I was done, which I did. Finally, 20 minutes later I was approached by a very serious young girl, who did not smile, and asked to follow her. After walking down the hallway I was told "have a seat", she attached a dental napkin around my neck and handed me a pair of goggles, then flatly said Dr. Dores would be in shortly. When Dr. Dores arrived, he again refused to tell me how much a filling cost, and asked me to lo leave. read more

From beginning to end, this was the greatest experience I have ever had at a Dentist's office. Even recieving the news that I needed some work done wasn't as crushing coming from Dr. Dores. Who, by the by, personally called the night before my apointment welcoming me to the practice. UNHEARD OF. I was given a full tour and everyone that worked there was Aces. Either they really love their job or they are all huffing the silly gas. I'm pretty sure it's the first one. There were beverages in the waitng room and I even recieved a gift bag. After talking me into 2 crowns .Put 1 temporary crown on for 2 teeth and made me look like Mr,Ed .When he tried to take the temporary crown off broke my tooth off.I had to get a 5000 dental implant.No way was I going to have Dr Dores do my implant Stay as far away as possible from this dentist read more

Wow, this is our first time going here and the place is so great. My boys have a sensory delay and Shelley the hygienist was so great with them. She explain to the boys every step how she was going to examine their teeth and do the cleaning. As well, made it a education game looking for farm and jungle animals in their mouth. The boys love her. You walk in and the secretary make you feel so welcomed. The place is so clean and comfortable. You really don't feel like your in a dentist office. They attended to you quickly and gives you your quickly time. Shelley was very informational and helpful to my boys and Dr. Dores was great. I never seen my boys come out of the dentist office so excited. We will be going back not just for my boys. But, for my daughter and myself. read more

Normally I love this place and always have a good experience even though I hate the dentist. I made an appointment for a molar I noticed had chipped and wanted to get it looked at and requested to have cavities filled at the same time since I would be there anyway. Very frustrated that two different assistants were running in and out of my room and only took x rays in the two hours I was waiting. I was called and asked to come in early because they were over booked that day, which I arrived 45 minutes early as asked and was still not seen until my scheduled time. Saw the doctor for about 5 minutes and then was left alone and brought to the consultation room where I sat for 20 minutes while someone came in 3 times apologizing for the wait and that it'd be over soon. Then I was brought out to the front desk for a new treatment plan and to schedule an appointment to actually do the work I needed. Very annoyed that it was 2+ hours for basically nothing, it's quite the drive from where I live but like I said normally I love this place and always have a great time. Then when making the appointment I was asked if I wanted laser or not and I had no idea what to say because I didn't even know about lasers and that would've been something I would've liked to talk to the doctor about. And then about 10 minutes after I left crying out of frustration I got a call asking if I could come back because someone else changed what they were doing during their appointment so now they had time to actually do some work to me today. I will still continue to use Dores dental but this visit was very frustrating as visiting the dentist is already fully of anxiety and traumatic for me. read more

Every member of their staff is friendly, engaging, professional and considerate! The treatment is state of the art, but the manner in which you're treated is very old-fashioned. I dislike having to give a negative review and seldom write reviews but this dentist Dores was fine until I found out that making money is more important than anything. I requested my implant crown be made in a lab and he indicated it would be no problem. At my visit to have it installed he showed it to me and it looked good. He then left me for about 45 minutes and made excuses. When he eventually put it on I discovered it was too big and suspected that he used his Cerec machine to make one so he could return the lab created one for a refund and make more money by making a badly shaped one himself. I said nothing but never went back. Now that I have a new dentist who has confirmed my suspicions I feel confident to say that this dentist is dishonest and all I can say is I feel sorry for the people who work for them. It's only a matter of time before he is out of business. I have a good mind to report this to the licensing authorities and my dental insurance who overpaid for this crown. read more
