Since we were not knowledgeable about violin, we completely trusted on them. However, I realized how bad the violin they rented was, and the strings and bow were old. Her tutor said that a rental store usually lends a violin with at least new strings and bow. It was a used Lark (brand). I found that the price for a used one was around $100 on ebay, but their selling price was more than $400. I terminated the contract after three months. It was not a pleasant experience.

However, if you want to return an instrument, you will have to drive to Cuyahoga Falls. They also pick them up for repairs from the school. The quality of the trumpet that my son received was excellent. One time, we received a faulty valve and they replaced it with no problem. Being able to rent instruments is nice and they provide cases and cleaning supplies too. I had a very good experience renting from here for the last couple years.

I took lessons every other week, but Music & Arts repeatedly charged me for four lessons at a time, causing unused prepaid lessons to accumulate. I contacted the store about this multiple times, and the manager acknowledged that their billing system did not work well for biweekly lessons and attempted to adjust my billing dates, but the issue continued. When my instructor announced she was leaving, I requested a refund for my eight unused lessons on April 24. I followed up again on May 1 and May 11 but was repeatedly told to wait until after my final lesson on May 15 because processing the refund sooner could cause issues with their system. Despite additional follow-up, my request was not actually submitted until June 5. Music & Arts then relied on a 90-day expiration policy to deny six of the eight lessons. The store manager who had been handling the billing issue told me that even he was unaware of this policy. More importantly, I had requested my refund weeks earlier, and it was Music & Arts that instructed me to wait before it was processed. I ultimately had to file a consumer complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Music & Arts has since refunded two lessons but continues to deny the remaining six. My experience with corporate customer service has been even worse. Representatives have been rude, dismissive, and disrespectful throughout my attempts to resolve this. I repeatedly raised the billing issue, requested my refund promptly, and followed the instructions their employees gave me. Based on how Music & Arts has handled this situation from beginning to end, I would not use this company again for any service and cannot recommend them.

We added up about 7000.00 + - thats seven thousand dollars- of our business. . While it was good for his suffering self esteem at the time- and he did enjoy it because of that, there is no follow up people. Once the payments stop for the "lessons", so dies the camaraderie and the support, and actually- any communication at all. I just feel like - they charge a ridiculous tuition, build them up - so that they are convinced that they can become rockstars in adulthood- they get bit hard by the music and performing bug- and then they are forgotten about. A big chunk of his life and our bank account is spent there- and then what follows is nothing but disappointment and struggles and disillusionment. Three stars because they did serve the purpose at the time and nice people who seem to care- as long as the check payments kept coming.
