I left my only visit with Dr. Fontaine feeling really disappointed. I paid a very high fee for what was described as an initial healthy aging assessment, and I expected a thoughtful evaluation and guidance on next steps. Instead, much of the visit felt focused on selling additional products and services. During the appointment, I was encouraged to purchase vitamins and supplements from the office, and it seemed like there was one upsell after another. While Dr. Fontaine did suggest additional tests that might be helpful, I was told those orders would only be sent to the appropriate medical facilities if I signed up to become an ongoing patient, which meant paying additional significant fees. Overall, the experience felt more like a sales process than a medical consultation, which was surprising given the already high cost of the initial visit. I did not leave feeling like my well-being as a patient was the priority. Instead, it felt as though the focus was more on generating additional revenue. read more

I am sharing my experience to raise awareness about laser hair removal treatments at this location. During my second session, I informed the nurse twice that the heat was causing significant pain. After the first few seconds, I was told the settings were the same as the previous session. When I spoke up again to say it really hurt and asked why, the nurse told me it was likely because I had 'more hair this time.' The procedure was not adjusted in response to my reports of pain. The physical result the next day included visible burns, blistering/bubbling below my lip, and burn dots above my side jaw. When I called to report these injuries, the nurse (who I have since been told no longer works there), in my opinion, responded with little concern or empathy, which I expected in a clinical setting. I cancelled my weekend plans, which I informed the nurse of. I spent significant time and money on corrective treatments (serums and HydraFacials at another medical spa) to repair the damage to my skin. I initially chose this clinic based on reviews and pricing, but based on my overall experience, I cannot recommend them. In my opinion, the lack of responsiveness to a patient's reported pain level is a potential safety issue. I will be returning to a different clinic where I have previously received safe and attentive care. Just as info: I asked for a refund of the session where I had the burns (last attended session) and did not ask for a refund of the first session. I am 42 years old and wasn't feeling my best. I was noticing some changes with my body (weight gain, decreased libido, and some fatigue). I learned that although my body may be functioning "as it should for my age", it is not functioning optimally. When I initially came in, my bloodwork had a variety of areas that could use improvement. I also did an Inbody scan in his office (Measured fat to muscle ratios in the body). After three months of taking the supplements and prescriptions recommended, as well as following nutritional advise & my exercise regimen, Dr Fontaine ordered a second set of bloodwork and I did another InBody Scan. My blood work came back with a dramatic improved and my Inbody scan showed a loss of 10lbs of fat while maintaining my muscle mass. My percentage of body fat decreased by 6% and my visceral fat went from a level 7 to a level 4. Not only do I feel amazing, I have been told by multiple people that I am looking my best. I have even been asked by a few friends and family members what I am doing to look so good lately. Louise is absolutely wonderful to work with! I have seen her for both an IPL facial and Botox (my very first time!). I don't give out 5 stars that often and especially to doctors. Had my fair share theses last two years having just recovered from throat cancer. Anyway , I found Dr.Fontaine to be very down to earth and friendly which gave me a lot of confidence in him. I visited the facility to get the health check for anti aging and living forever pills . After a full review of my blood test it was decided more tests were needed. I really did not expect to hear from him much after that as my prognosis was not what I expected. To the contrary he followed up with e-mails of advice, another tele conference to go through more test and we have a plan in place to fight the normal aging issues of cholesterol, body fat etc while I deal with the extra tests I needed. The simple fact is that the blood test that Dr. Fontaine performed on me were more detailed than the ones your primary care physician does. Since Groupon is big/corporate I am disappointed, but not totally suprised in their antics. This is my second post! I just want to give a shout out to my RN aesthetician Sarah. She has guided me on such an incredible aesthetic journey--I am a totally happier more confident person since meeting her and being under her care. Disclaimer: This review is solely on the booking/consultation process and not an actual procedure. Just a little background, September was a month of indulging and vacations for me because it was my birthday month. I have always been interested in cool sculpting but never really thought I needed it because for the most part I live a healthy lifestyle and work out regularly. Being that I have a vacation in December and a crazy work schedule I was on groupon one day and saw this establishment had cool sculpting deal on there. 1 session for $600 and 2 sessions for $1,200. After some research I decided to call them and inquire because I knew that groupon had taken a portion of profit I wanted to offer paying them directly but wanted to see if they would honor the groupon member price. The receptionist said she would speak to Julie to see if she would honor the pricing. Im not certain if I called or she called me back but she stated that the pricing they had listed was for $800 in groupon. I told her I could send them through text what I was looking on at my end. So I sent the text and never heard back. Fast forward a few days later 3 days before my consultation I gave the office a call back and Kelly had stated she had been trying to call/email me and I hadn't received any call/text whatsoever. I can go back and get my phone records etc but I have no reason to not be truthful about getting a follow up call being that I was the one inquiring and willing to spend the $$. Kelly stated that they would be willing to do $550 for each treatment and I told her I would call her back with my office phone because I had poor connection and I couldn't hear anything with my cell. ( I can also provide my conversations via chat on verizon weeks prior discussing a cell tower being out and not getting service in my office if need be ) I got busy and didn't call back which was my fault but I also felt like wow, any good establishment would follow up with their patient/client following a couple hours or the morning of. So today my appointment day 10/8 I called their office and Kelly picked up. I told her I no longer wanted to proceed with my consultation she said, "Oh no, may I ask why?" As I am beginning to explain that I felt that my business (because of the request to match pricing) was not welcomed..... and she said "I can't hear you the connection is bad, hello?" Coincidence? Im not sure but if it wasn't than I would have gotten a call back. BUT, I didn't. Long story short, I really feel as if establishments that want to put deals out on groupon (this goes to every establishment) to get new clients through the door they shouldn't make customers feel that they are unwelcome. I have a masseuse, gym, etc that I have found through groupon and have been going for years and have no issues paying full price for anything. I originally discovered Dr. Fontaine on Groupon, the office was running a special on Cool Sculpting. I have never had the procedure done before and was not even certain I would be a good candidate for it, so I was hesitant to spend $1200 on a Groupon I could then not use or not feel it was going to give me the results I was looking for. Being this was also during the height of the COVID situation did not help matters, as I could not just make a normal consultation appointment. Dr. Fontaine was nice enough to offer to do a video consult, and when he determined I most likely was a good candidate for the cool sculpting procedure on the area I wanted, he said he would honor the Groupon price and I did not have to buy anything ahead of time. I want to mention that I am also pretty skeptical of a lot of med spa related offers on Groupon, although I am interested in them, unless I know someone who has actually done the procedure and confirmed it works, I am really kind of hesitant to spend a considerable (to me) amount of money on something that may or may not give me the results I am looking for. I had the (painless, fast) cool sculpting procedure done two months ago and I am MORE than happy with the results. I have a follow up appointment next month and am going to inquire about doing additional areas. I had been having pain in my right knee from 4-5 years. It had gotten worse, where I was taking anti inflammatory pills every day. I heard about RPR from a friend and went to Dr. Fontaine to talk about the procedure. He recommended another procedure that was not as painful which would take about 8 weeks for me to be able to do any kind off exercise. Well 5 weeks went by, I had no more pain, was off anti inflammatory meds and was able to not only exercise, but was able to do what I was able to do 5 years ago, squats and the elliptical. I can only rave about Dr. Fontaine! I had terrible knee pain from years of running, karate and tennis. I had tried PRP injections elsewhere, and it didn't give me relief. I found Dr. Fontaine and my life changed. He suggested stem cell injections. I like that the material is from a live birth baby, and not a fetus. It is also very fresh, compared to harvesting stem cells from my old body! It worked great!! I am out of pain, after a year and a half of crippling pain. I can run down stairs again and do my sports. As a seasoned RN, I can say hands down he is the most comprehensive provider I've seen in my 55 years. He focuses on total health, extensive lab review of risk markers (not done in primary care), hormones, plus the usuals we are accustomed to, diet, exercise, and overall wellness. His approach is all science based and since he uses the concierge model he is not trying to shakedown your pocket book. My mother and I had the great pleasure of meeting the most honest and honorable Dr. Fontaine. My mother came to Dr. Fontaine after being referred to him by her good friend who also was a patient of his. She was suffering from severe arthritis in both of her knees and basically had bone on bone in both knees. Her good friend had a great experience with Dr. Fontaine so she decided to give him a try. From the first day we met him, we could tell he truly cared and wanted to help. My mother first received the PRP treatment in both of her knees. After a few months, one of her knees was much better and the other didn't respond as well. At that point, Dr. Fontaine recommended that we try the stem cell treatment on the knee that didn't respond to PRP. Within just a couple of months, that knee felt great. My mother has regained her mobility and feels like herself again.
