Had a belt replaced 7 months ago that is squealing now, however that is pretty normal for needing to get the belt retightened especially going from Summer to Winter . Well I'd like to bring my vehicle in there. I gave him three stars for the work he's done before. The two I didn't give them were based on attitude and not calling me back. I don't do rude so with that in mind I'll find another service. It's too bad because he does good work...Excellent work in-fact. But if their too busy not to be professional or call me back then he's too busy for my business. I have a very busy schedule myself working a full time job and running a business. I have a lot of business too but I'm professional with my customers at the same time. My vehicle was stolen and I got it returned. Now it needs fixed. Not very happy with Snyder either but at least they called me back. We will see if they fix it right. I'm not in a hurry for it either. In the meantime I'll look for a good shop with a professional attitude. read more

I would never recommend a place like this. WORST PLACE IN ALBANY, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I found them online with GREAT reviews, and just needed my heater fixed. I paid $400 to get it fixed and left with a extremely shaky car that would turn off randomly WHILE driving, putting my life and car at risk. I called and got it all fixed, but still not okay. I thought since they fixed it for free I'll go back and get a full inspection, and a oil change. After leaving this second time my cruise control does not work, my seatbelt lights flash and ding all over my car, and my car is over heating within 3 min of driving it. I'm a young girl, and definitely felt like this shop fucked my car up more than fixed it. Do not trust this crooked ass business. They will only destroy your car more only to have you come back. read more

The part was a little difficult to find, but they removed the part and gave it to me so I could order the right replacement. After the part came in it was quick and easy (and affordable)! James did a good job diagnosing and repairing our vehivle and had good communication during. Unfortunately the check engine light came on shortly after we picked it up and called to have it just checked out again to see if it was related to the VERY expensive repairs we just paid for. They have been ignoring our calls and have not called us back. I cant say enough good things about James and his crew. I came in 2 days before I had to take a long road trip, and my car was making a horrendous noise. I called james the night before, and he said I could bring it in when the shop opened so he could take a look. They diagnosed the problem free of charge, and then gave me a quote for labor, and informed me of the bare minimum parts that I would need. My particular problem was a small cover for the timing belt that had worked its way loose, and was striking the belt. They said that I could get by replacing the belt only, but informed that in my car, the belt tensioner was what usually failed, which then would cause the timing belt to fail shortly after. The belt had recently been replaced, however the tensioner was not changed, and neither were the pulleys, so they recommended that I replace it all, since they labor would be almost the same price. For my own piece of mind I decided that I would like to replace it all, and James called his parts supplier and quoted me a price for the parts, at which point I went home while I waited for him to confirm the diagnosis, and let me know if the parts did indeed need to be replaced. While I was home I did some reading to confirm that replacing the tensioner was a good idea, and also found the same parts kit he had recommended, yet 100 dollars cheaper than his supplier, and he had no problem using the parts I supplied. In the end, I got my car in and out the same day, and saved about 300 dollars between parts and labor, and the car performed perfectly for my drive. I initially picked James because my friend had recommended him, and informed me his whole family used him as well, and while I was at work the night prior, I was complaining about my car, and my supervisor also mentioned James' garage. The diagnosis was free, they explained the pros and cons of just replacing the one faulty part, showed me the problem and the old parts, and let me bring my own parts. If youre in need of mechanics who wont pressure you with a bunch of crap you dont need, and who will explain the process and REASONING behind their work and recommendations, this is the place to go. read more

Went there for the first time to check on a used car I was contemplating buying. James asked the owners questions regarding the vehicle and its history and also brought me in to show me areas that would need attention sooner than later as well as other areas that were not immediately needing to be repaired. Gave me prices for parts and labor. Said that was going to be the price and it was. There were no hidden costs or charges. Was brutally honest in his assessment of the car and I felt comfortable and trusted him implicitly. I highly recommend him. Any future issues with any car I have will be dealt with by James' garage.
