Mom came out of her appointment with work done saying she is no longer terrified (literally) of going to the dentist. She was smiling and truly amazed. The entire team works incredibly well together and shows so much respect for one another. Everyone is highly trained, professional, and truly on point in everything they do. Dr. Le is amazing and does exceptional work. I recently had a crown done, and I was so impressed by how particular and meticulous he was throughout the entire process. Dr. Denise also did several fillings for me using the Solea laser AND I didn't need to get numb! What an absolutely amazing experience. Selena is another great reason to choose TYFD- she's organized, responsive, and doesn't make you feel a burden whenever appointment adjustments are needed. When I needed a new crown, they were able to accommodate this procedure the same day. Lastly, Dr. Nguyen and Dr.Le both are super nice and... busy. There were a few visits where I was handed off to other dentists (also nice but not them). Overall, TYFD is worth the patient transfer from La Mesa Dental Artistry.

Disappointing decade here after starting with the previous dentist who retired. The rest of my…read morefamily left years ago because of O'Brien's constant upselling (sealants, night guards, etc.); lack of appointments; and their frequent cancellations and rescheduling (i.e. delays and headaches). I don't like change so I stayed for convenience. Turned out: it meant constant inconvenience. They regularly cancelled appointments, and then rescheduled weeks and even months later (as they overbook). Today, they just announced they no longer take my CA teachers' insurance (not a big enough profit). As I most recently waited three months to be rescheduled--and I'm late for xrays and a cleaning--I questioned them. They said I should trust the dentist and want to pay out of pocket. Absurd. This is a for-profit venture, with everything revolving around funding O'Brien's family. Left high and dry in the most uncaring way.

I had lost several front teeth and needed implants, and Dr. Wachtel handled the whole process with such warmth and compassion that it made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. She clearly cared about getting the outcome right -- not just functionally, but in a way that restored my confidence. Dr. Wachtel has since moved on, and the staff from my time there has likely turned over completely -- but what impressed me recently is that the current team was just as wonderful. When I reached out years later needing help obtaining my old records for an ongoing medical case, they were responsive, helpful, and went out of their way to assist me without hesitation. That kind of continuity of care and genuine helpfulness -- even for a patient from years ago with a completely different team -- says a lot about the culture this practice has maintained. Andrea went out of her way to help me with my insurance coverage and went over all the charges to make sure I understood everything. I waited about five minutes before they brought me into the patient room. The x-ray tech was great and she was fast. Now, let's get to Dr. Ramon; he was pleasant and jovial as well as extremely professional. In all my years going to the dentist, I have never experienced a procedure that was completely pain-free; this visit was an exception. He is gentle and highly skilled. I had five crowns done in one day and it went as smooth as silk. Then, there is Erick Pomp who assisted Dr. Ramon. The man is amazing, professional, and very good at his job. I even asked him how long he's been doing it because he handled everything flawlessly. He made me feel comfortable and did a perfect job on the impressions. My husband supposedly had gingivitis and started deep cleanings. It was always something or another. We both went to a dentist in Tecate for a second opinion. Both things were wrong!! I now wonder if all the previous work we both have paid for was indeed needed. My husband has not any gingivitis work done and his teeth are excellent. I have not had a crown replaced in a little over a year and my teeth are also great!! We go to them trusting their word. Are even dentist offices crooks? Can't trust even medical services anymore. Have since quit going.

I doubted it so I had her go to my trusted dentist. She made an appointment for yesterday with my dentist. She does NOT need a crown on that tooth. Avoid this practice as they are performing unnecessary work to inflate their profit. Plus they do not have a hygienist. The dentist cleaned her teeth last time. A good practice has a hygienist. My dentist has four. This practice is doing unnecessary work at a high price.
