Why would I want a match later?! You can't do a price match now? Was told that the price quote was before they ran insurance (even though they had that the entire time). Why would the price match be dependent on $120 insurance copay? You either match it or you don't. I was told I didn't understand. Umm, I've been ordering contacts for 15 years (not to mention I've had the same eye insurance since 2008), I know how it works. Now, because they already charged my insurance, I have to wait (up to two weeks) for a reversal...without the ability to order new contacts from anywhere else. Ridiculous. Classic bait and switch with prices and I know it's only $40 but it's the principle. And I love that they tried to tell me 1800contacts.com didn't take my insurance. Yes they do...just got off the phone with them and as soon as you put through my insurance reversal, they will charge me correctly and I'll owe $10 with free shipping. Which is what I would have done had you not claimed you price matched! I wish I could charge YOU for time wasted. Again, love Dr. Bowers but I can't stand when people don't honor prices and try to blame me for their incompetence. I cannot in good faith recommend this place.

I came to BlueGrass Eye Care Center after over 30 years of great treatment at another practice. I was hoping to get some creative thinking for problems I'd been having with contact lenses. I saw two different doctors in the practice at BlueGrass, but the prescriptions they gave me weren't as clear as I had hoped for. Shawn Combs patiently listened to my concerns, reviewed my charts and gave me several different trial pair of contacts to try. She clearly marked them so I could remember what I was trying, explained how each might work differently from the next, and urged me to come back (4 times!) until we got the prescription right. I'm very grateful to Ms. Combs. I can now see things I haven't been able to see clearly for years. And the reason for that success is Ms. Combs' patience and willingness to try and try again, using her outstanding knowledge of contact lens products. She could have sent me back to the doctors for yet another exam and another co-pay, but instead, she worked with me directly -- and kept a great attitude the entire time!

The following year, I decided to try UK Advanced Eye Care, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is wonderful--friendly, professional, and great at what they do. But what truly keeps me coming back is Nicole. She handles the eyewear side of things and is simply the best at what she does. Nicole has helped me with my glasses in more ways than I can count. She's kind, knowledgeable, and always greets you with a smile. After three years, she's the reason I continue to return. To be clear, I go to the Turfland Mall location. The original doctor my primary care had sent me to two years ago was horrible. I had made an appointment with a Urogynecologist this Fall and after doing a urine culture she said I needed to be treated by a Urologist. Unfortunately she could not make the referral to the doctor she wanted because he was part of a large group of Urologists that covers most of the Louisville and surrounding area and they insisted I had to return to the original doctor. Dr. Timothy Atkinson is located in Frankfort, KY. He and his office are very professional. On my initial consultation I knew he was the doctor that would get to the bottom of my problem. He listened to my complaints and concerns, and clearly explained his treatment plan. His office scheduled an MRI and an appointment a week later for Dr. Atkinson to scope my bladder. Both visits to Dr. Atkinson were prompt and the doctor communicated well. It may have taken three years to finally get to the right doctor but I am comfortable with the care and diagnosis that he clearly explained. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a Urologist, He truly is WOOHOO - AS GOOD AS IT GETS!

When I called back to ask for help with the bill they refused to listen to me. All they offered was a payment plan of $50 per month or they would send me to collections. No discount unless they could get a copy of my tax returns, bank account statements for the last several months, copies of paycheck stubs and IRA account balances. REALLY?!? This was the MOST EXPENSIVE doctor visit for me to date and I've been to oncologists, cardiologists, hand specialists and surgeons, all were willing to work with me on a discount for the bill. They wouldn't even place a hold on the account to give me time to fill out their paperwork. Instead they offered a $10 per month payment plan while I'm sure they drug their feet through that process. She confirmed that I had that test done. I wasn't apologized too. I told her what her employees had done and said to me and that they were rude to me. It was basically just looked over. my point is this is a test that would have caused me an additional $40 and I felt that the way I was treated was unprofessional. Why are you trying to force me to pay for a test that I told you that I think I had already taken and I was looking to show it to you?! The only reason why this place even gets two stars is because of the woman that checked me out. She was very sweet very pleasant and knew how to talk to a patient. I'm not hard to get along with. I do not cause a scene. I do not raise my voice, but I do expect respect. And I don't feel that's too much to ask for considering I'm paying you to do a job for me.
