Pushed appraisal through that cost me $950 only to then tell me that my loan was denied because I own "farm property". Wasted my time and my money. I truly believe there is more reputable companies out there. Kevin and Nam did not even understand how to look up an address on the county assessor page...did I mention public knowledge. They refused to return my funds from pushing an appraisal through that they knew up front I lease out part of my property, which in fact automatically denies me a conventional loan and I would have to go get a loan through the USDA. Very UNPROFESSIONAL business and incompetent, DO NOT USE..

Patrick is a Managing Member of Pacific Finance Group, and apparently my review was of concern and unexpected. I'm not sure how or why, because "Home Loan Willie" was the only person I ever got to speak to prior to talking with Patrick, and who knows how many other customers got mistreated by "Willie" that went under the radar because they never bothered to leave a review or didn't know they could. In any event, Patrick's primary concern for the review was that I questioned the number of positive reviews and the fact that everyone else named people I never got a chance to speak to in multiple interactions with the company. I still want to make it clear that their communication strategy needs work. If their receptionist isn't answering calls after 4-4:30pm when they close at 5pm, that needs to be addressed. If "Home Loan Willie" is the only one answering calls and he's mistreating customers, that needs to be addressed. If customers are leaving voicemails on the Operator phone and nobody is checking the box, that needs to be addressed. Patrick, though he does not normally do loan work, offered to try and make it right. Unfortunately, due to the numerous delays and run around from "Home Loan Willie", an issue happened on the loan that is making it more difficult for Patrick to really do anything at this point. I'm raising the score due to his efforts to stay in contact and do right, he offered some package that I never received, but I didn't really care about that. I don't expect a miracle at this stage, I was hoping things could have gotten done earlier in October, but they didn't.

A good mortgage specialist/broker is not easy to come by. The qualities that make Kirk stand out among the rest is his communication, availability, honesty, creativeness, constant updates, experience, knowledge, and willingness to fight for his clients. If you have ever worked with a loan officer or mortgage broker, you know these qualities is hard to find. An example for his ability to be creative and make things happen, I had a client that fell in love with a house in November. She was denied from Homestreet Bank for a loan, but Kirk was able to make it happen after one phone conversation with her. He took the time to understand her financial situation and was able to work his magic to help her get a loan and close on the house. I have no hesitation referring him to any of my clients. In fact, since I've met Kirk, I've referred all of my clients to him. He has helped over 7 of my clients with their home loans. My only regret is not finding him sooner in my real estate career. One of my clients said it best that Kirk is a like a bulldog that is willing to fight for you.

So, I'm writing this review based on two brief interactions with Tina, where my wife and I were on…read moreour own little "fact-finding mission" during the COVID-19 lockdown. We wanted to see where we were at financially, so that we could start looking for a house.... because everything on the east side is ridiculously expensive, so we wanted to get that part out of the way first. First interaction: phone call. We started by answering basic loan questions about jobs and debts and that sort of stuff. I was impressed with Tina's knowledge of the tech world, as I am a contractor to one of the tech companies in the area. She knew the differences between full-time employees, contingent/contractor positions, etc, and how many contract positions work (as I'm sure she deals with it regularly in this area). Also, she didn't phrase her questions in any sort of demeaning way, which is super nice. 15-ish minutes later, interaction number 2: "Zoom" conference call. She shared her screen with us, and walked us briefly through a 16-page breakdown of everything. Charts, graphs, numbers.... it was all in there, and looked pretty clean. She also broke down percentages and payments, with four different options, so we could get a look of what would be comfortable for us, where we were at now, and where we could be (within reason) if we got our finances a little better. It gave us a really clear picture of where we stood, and where we would stand in the near future (obviously these numbers weren't set in stone, but it was a great approximation/estimate). She emailed us all the data as well, so we could go over the details at our own pace. So, overall, so far (since at the time of this writing, we're still looking), I'm impressed with everything. I'm most impressed by the fact that she didn't try to force any kind of commitment or a sale of any kind. She just gave us the info, answered our questions, and ensured that we had everything we needed going forward, if we wanted to choose her going forward. ...which we will. If she's willing to put forth that much effort and time on someone for no gain, then it's a pretty damn good indication of how she'll be when our money is on the line. So, here's a review based on just the preliminary interactions. I'd encourage you to give her a shot, to see if she impressed you as well.

I'm not 100% sure with Sammamish but it seems they are just an intermediary and do not have close understanding of the underwriting process. Trevor was unreachable by phone and would e-mail me back or call back a day later. Priscilla seemed to be off or have a vacation notification on every time I tried to email her. Without warning us, Trevor went on paternity leave the week of closing, and Priscilla left on vacation. We were left with their supervisor who was 100% more competent, but extremely busy. Right before closing, Trevor also told me that we either needed to buy down more interest and pay them more money, which didn't make sense as we bought a house that was 1/2 our purchasing power. Our realtor emailed and called them (we had given consent) without any response and noted they were one of the worst and most nerve wracking groups she had dealt with. We had no idea if we would close on time, even the day of closing. We were living in an AirBnB and not sure whether we would be homeless the next day or if we should book a hotel. When I spoke with Stacey their supervisor about this the day before closing, she said "this isn't even as close as we come sometimes, don't worry!" which made me worry even more. I just found out that they immediately transferred our loan to another bank a month after closing. They have a ton more reviews than other servicers and I would be extremely concerned some of them are fake.
