She told me they no longer work with my insurance but they will still except me. The new way it works is that you pay in full up front with a discount and then I have to submit to my insurance for reimbursement. Then she said I was okay for that day, that they'll submit it because they are not fully switched over yet. But because of that, and I know it's because of that, I received the worse service ever from a dentist office. From time I sat in the chair until I got out, 10 minutes!!! It was rushed and incomplete for a cleaning. Didn't do half of what other hygienist do. When you leave a dentist , you can feel the difference in your teeth. Not me, only pain! It's been almost 4 hours now and still in pain! Also, no X-rays either! Even though I was not only a new patient, but when asked how long it's been since my last X-rays and that being at least 3 years, still no X-rays! I even told them I have pain like as if i have a cavity! Still nothing! Said I'm good and it's just recession! ‍ You can't tell me they're not worried about being reimbursed! I've never felt so rushed in my life!

My brother in law was recently informed that he needed to see a dentist. Whatever. If you read my reviews you know that I abhor dentistry. He was sent to this dentist per protocol as per house health regulations. All fine and good. My B-I-L had been on medicaid for two years. He was switched to MEDICARE effective January 1, 2016. He is well aware of this and keeps notes. OCD is part of his diagnosis. He visited the dentist twice. $300.00 worth of nothing. And the bill was submitted to MEDICAID. In March. Dentist cannot explain why they submitted payment request through Medicaid. I have not been paying for Medicaid since December of 2015. Now Medicaid wants $1300.00 for this/these procedures that have not really/maybe been done. Wow. Chose wisely. Not this place.

The doctor was nice but I walked out in pain which was expected. The pain I still have over a month later was not expected. I've had my teeth worked on before and have never been in this much pain post-operation. My gums surrounding one particular tooth are still swollen and red. I still cannot brush/flush without my gums bleeding. The tooth feels jagged and my filling is too tall. I still am eating with my front teeth because it's too painful otherwise unless I take 600 mg of ibuprofen beforehand. Also, this particular tooth has become a food trap with a large gap at the back of my tooth which catches everything. I never leave reviews but hoping this will come as a warning for anybody coming here for anything other than a teeth cleaning. Friendly staff and doctor. The actual work done is the problem. It's hard enough finding/trusting dentists and it was disappointing to have a poor experience after years of not having dental insurance available to me.

Dr. Alan Siu then came in and said that I needed a deep cleaning along with some dental fillings which he recommended that I have treated. I told him that I was almost 70 years old with both cancer and diabetes and that I only wished to have conservative dental treatment unless I was in discomfort. He then insisted that I have the treatment and stated perhaps I did not understand. I told him I was an educated man who understood perfectly well but denied such treatment. He then tried to cajole me saying then they might not be the right dentist for me. I agreed and left, never to return. In my view, Dr. Siu was arrogant and pompous and I would not recommend him.

Even when I've had an outstanding balance or needed an emergency visit, they always have a ready smile and a compassionate tone. As for speed, its very rare I spend more than 15 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room as well. The dental hygienists are always polite, informative and disarming when it comes to the Dental checkup. Then we come to their "Ring Leader", Doc Walker himself. I cannot say enough about him, he is great (My wife thinks its a Bromance). Doctor walker very skilled. I lost part of a tooth when it cracked (bad dental hygiene in my early years), he still suggests that I get it crowned, but he was able to put a "filling" in to help. In reality it was a sculpture of 1/3 of my tooth (the missing portion). By the way that was 3 1/2 years ago, and it's still holding strong. He is also hysterical. In fact last time I was there he got me laughing uproariously. This was a mixed bag as he had a needle in my mouth administering Novocaine. Here's a funny story about a visit I was at with my Wife. She was getting a filling done and Doc Walker asked, "How does the tooth feel when run your tongue along it?" She answers, It feels fine". He looks to me, winks, then says, "Now how about with my tongue?" With that the whole room erupted into laughter. In all seriousness this Doctor cares about his patients like they are friends or family. He is a generally good natured man. I absolutely agree with Cara C. this practice is wonderful and you will not be sorry if you switch to Lif Dental.

Concierge offers both implants & bridges. My insurance policy made my choice for me, but the pricing was in line with what my peers have paid recently. I wanted to also call attention to the Cherry app that they connected me with that can approve you for extended payments starting at 0% interest if that is more comfortable ;). Anyway, there was no pressure, no long waits and since it had been an uncomfortably long time since I'd had regular dental maintenance Dr. Hoon made sure that I got in for a good cleaning, the hygienist was super nice! I complained and she did a little more, but no scrapeing, polishing or dentist evaluation. I was shown to another room where a man told me that would be $1800+. He also told me they gave me a free cleaning. Not true compared to the many times in my 70+ years of experience. (That would have been covered by insurance.)
