They pay to have access to the whole gym and all the machines, not a portion of the machines.

I've belonged to Gold's Gym for years and have found myself not going at all anymore, and just going to CO2Fit classes instead. Seo changes the exercises up regularly so you aren't bored doing the same thing all the time. She is also really good about working with your specific fitness level / needs. I have weak wrists from years of doing gymnastics, so it's hard for me to do exercises where my full body weight is on my wrist. She is so good now that she just automatically gives me an alternate exercise when we have heavy wrist weight activities! I regularly go to CO2Fit Xpress, Surf, and Running Group. I've also gone to Pound and BootCamp. I have no complaints about any of them!

The equipment was nice and there's a locker room too. What drew us in was the proximity to our house and the water park. Our kid loves the water. The outdoor water park is pretty sweet, but sadly this past summer the slides were closed due to Covid. Two reasons for not giving 5 stars: -The place definitely needs maintenance. Any time you look up (mostly at the indoor poor), it looks like it's falling apart, has exposed insulation and is a bit questionable lol. The outdoor pool has a soft foam mat on part of it for kids and that's coming apart too. -The customer service is so so. The front staff is great and always greets us with a friendly face. There were just one or two encounters with membership that left me feeling like.. not great. Particularly when we called to terminate our membership. The original contract we signed was for 12 mo the and that *we* would let them know if we wanted to continue. Well the month before I called and for some reason or another, we had to pay for ANOTHER month because of the timing. The guy admitted it was his fault and he's been really busy, which I empathize with, but I just don't think it's really cool to admit your fault in not calling us, assuming we want to continue though we don't, and having to pay an extra hundo. Overall, the gym has great equipment and amenities for the value and I would definitely recommend this gym! We look forward to the summer and hopefully using the water park and slides :)

Not going to lie, it IS hot - but that's what we pay for, right? Every class is heated to 98 degrees so you know exactly what to expect. Yugala and Power are definitely beginner friendly, especially because you can take breaks as needed - the teachers are very understanding, if not encouraging, if you take a break and come down to child's pose. On the other side of the coin, they are super motivating and there if you need them to get you through your class! The teachers are educated in anatomy and anatomical safety in poses and give helpful hands on adjustments. All of the classes are set to music that spans a ton of genres/decades/etc. The Hot Yoga Barre is doing what they do, it's different than any studio in Richmond, and they do it so, so well. I planned to attend a couple times a week, but now find myself going every weekday without fail. It helps that I've gained 20 pounds in muscle mass after just a few short months. X-Team isn't your typical gym. The group fitness classes are different everyday and it's truly a team atmosphere. You have both indoor and outdoor options as well as yoga and group runs. Because the workouts change everyday, it never gets boring or predictable. You also end up hitting every muscle group without having to think about what to do next.
