The trainer teaches you each round and will be there for anything you need during your workout. 30 min and you get a great full body workout with muscle work as well as cardio. You get a heart monitor you can wear and shows on the tv to help you see how you are doing along the way. Jess is the owner and she's awesome and super helpful. The other trainers are fantastic as well, good people all around. It's the best workout and nothing like it in town. Our instructer was awesome, great personality, kept the class fun and interesting. Most of us were beginners but he told us to do what we can, dont try to out do the person next to you. We did so much.. butpees, threw a heavy ball up the wall while doing squats, sit ups, pull ups, pull ups on rings, lunges and more. I loved the flow of the glass although there were moments I had to break, I still kept up! This crissfit gym is hidden but is a great place to work out!

I need to know that I have to stay for an entire hour and have someone there to motivate and push me. American Family's class schedule is amazing. You simply can't use the excuse that the class you want isn't offered enough or isn't at a convenient time. Their classes run all morning/afternoon/evening. Their equipment is well-maintained. I love that every fourth Saturday, they do a Parents' Night Out from 6-11 p.m. You can drop off your child and they feed them dinner, engage them in activities and show a movie at the end of the night. I am so impressed by their kids' area. While I'm exercising, my child is doing yoga, or playing on scooters, or swimming in the pool (with supervision). I am so glad I joined this gym.

Maybe American family should read their reviews here and their memberships would go up if they listen to their our membership was canceled after 27 days because my wife was texting me while our two toddlers were in the pool with our and they said that we were not watching our children, even though we were both sitting on the edge of the pool with our feet in the water while 15 year-old was in the one and a half foot side playing with our kids. They have three nice staff members out of maybe 20 that's it. The elderly man at the front desk is as nice as can be and the young blonde haired was very nice & helpful as well. all the other kids,especially the curly haired guy with freckles are rude inconsiderate & snotty, because they are aware my family and I live in our 2 cars. Unfortunately the facility's priority is the swim team. From late May through July the outdoor pools are used by the team morning afternoon and evening to accommodate families with different schedules. Even our weekly evening class that uses the deep well has been moved inside so the children who aren't on the swim team can play in the pool. Whenever I have brought this up with management they deny that swim team is their priority and say that we must share the pool. I don't think this is a fair statement since swim team has the pool 8-9 hours a day (not including meets)

Paying for a lot of facility (pool, tennis courts, etc.) that I don't use, so no longer felt like it was good value for the fees. Also, noticed that the classes I took were very crowded, there were a wide range of ages (kids and seniors in with mid-range adults), and I felt the facility was not always as clean as I would have liked. The staff often seemed over-scheduled and stressed. In all, not a good experience for the money.

I came in with a history of awful knee injuries, multiple surgeries followed by iffy recoveries, and little to no faith in the muscles in my lower body. In less than 12 months I've gone from constantly worrying about those shaky knees to feeling real confidence in my movements. Doubling my PRs has just been an added perk... Ashlee has been awesome in creating tailored programs for me and what I need. Classes currently include Beginner, Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Flow, and Vinyasa/Pilates. The space is comfortable, with a beautiful original mural as a focal point on one wall. The studio offers the usual bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, and loaner mats. The studio is quiet (no normal street noise can be heard, although the very occasional fire truck may go by) and the music that accompanies the lessons is in the background but all around you, thanks to the great sound system. Co-owner Kellee is a gem of a yoga instructor -- challenging yet caring, focused yet nurturing. She has taught in several other studios (I have taken lessons from her for four years or so) as well as yoga classes in corporate settings. Kellee customizes her lessons to fit the students' abilities and needs. Alternative versions of postures and poses are introduced as the session progresses to aid those who may have difficulty with the "right" way to achieve the position. She keeps your mind on controlled breathing, focused attention, and peace in the knowledge that you are perfect in the moment, even if you cannot sustain a balance pose as long as everyone else. By the time the class is over, your mind is refreshed, your body renewed, and for the moment peace is restored in a tumultuous world. I have taken classes in other studios from other instructors, and while each teacher brings something that I can learn and take to heart, I have found no classes to compare with those I have shared with Kellee. Not only are they great yoga -- flexibility, strength, balance, mind, body spirit -- they are also a great workout. That's why I drive 30 minutes each way for her classes, and have done so for years as she has taught in other studios.
