After accepting payment, I was informed via text that he could not represent me because he knew my ex, who is also an attorney. A proper conflict check should occur before taking someone's money, not after. What I find deeply alarming is that he then contacted my ex after I had consulted with him. When someone reaches out for legal help in a high-conflict family situation, especially when they are already seeking domestic violence support, confidentiality and discretion are paramount. Instead, I was left feeling exposed and blindsided. In family law matters, safety, privacy, and professional boundaries are not optional; they are fundamental. This experience demonstrated a lack of care and judgment that I find unacceptable for someone acting as an officer of the court. Especially given the domestic violence context and concerns for my safety. Prospective clients should be extremely cautious and clarify conflict procedures and confidentiality protections before sharing sensitive information.

He has a great relationship with all of the judges, and everytime we went to court they did exactly what he argued. Harrison got me everything I wanted, and then some!His partner is great too -- she appeared with me in court one time and I thought she was really tough and knew her stuff. I can't say enough about that firm. They were really reasonable on costs, and they even got my ex to have to pay some fees! You can't do better in Placer County.

No prep for trial, no great cross examination. Lots of backing down when should have risen to the occasion. Seemed he felt bad for and or scared of/unsure of how to act in court, but claims he knows the law and didnt want to irritate the commissioner. Immediately said in court hearing before trial we wouldn't be talking about DV, when that was a huge piece for a long term marriage of it and for Perm SS. Felt confused, but was trying to trust. I was all alone, as I felt, during trial. Was quick to take money, but not a thorough job in catching up on major details of our case or making sure to prep me or himself or include Abuse that was absolutely needing to be shared and included. Sad that he didnt listen to me and I could sense he wasnt 'strong' enough, but hoped that his 'plan' was good long term. I finally obtained the bodycam video I needed to exonerate myself and the hearing is in 44 days. I did it alone. This law firm had zero plan and should have never advised me to sign a DVRO. I think it's because my lawyer was young and didn't like that I questioned his awful performance. Pure garbage to this day
