After the evaluation, she scheduled the surgery and paid the full amount upfront--about $3,500. Shortly afterward, she decided to cancel the procedure and requested a refund. Getting that refund turned into a nightmare. For over a year and a half, we repeatedly called and followed up, only to get delays, excuses, and endless runaround. The office seemed to have no urgency whatsoever in returning money for a procedure that was never performed. The most frustrating part was dealing with the financial coordinator. When I tried to help resolve the issue, I got a runaround for a couple months. Even more confusing, after speaking with me about the financial matter for weeks, the office suddenly claimed my daughter needed to sign HIPAA paperwork before they could continue discussing it with me. What finally got results? A formal demand letter. Amazingly, the refund check was issued the day after the demand letter was emailed and just two days after a hard copy was delivered. No one should have to spend over a year and a half fighting to get their own money back for services that were never provided. Based on our experience, I would not trust this office with my family's dental care.

Dr. Gire and his entire team are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but they also take the time to explain every step of the process, answer questions with patience, and ensure that all patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment. One thing that truly stood out to me was how understanding and accommodating the entire team was of my schedule. As someone balancing a full-time career while attending graduate school, finding appointment times was not always easy. They consistently worked with my schedule and went above and beyond to make sure I could stay on track with my treatment. That level of flexibility and consideration meant so much to me and made what could have been a stressful process feel incredibly manageable. Every member of the office is kind, professional, and genuinely invested in providing the best possible experience. They create such a welcoming and inclusive environment, and it is clear that they truly care about their patients and the community, not just their smiles, but their overall experience as well. I am beyond grateful for all of the guidance, care, encouragement, and support I received throughout my entire orthodontic journey. I absolutely love my results, but what I will remember most is the compassion, dedication, and genuine kindness that Dr. Gire and the team showed every step of the way. **I have sometime to write this review, I'm currently recovering from wisdom teeth removal…read more After establishing with a new dental office I felt the need to share my recent experience with Dr. Chua's office. I am 30 years old and have been going to Dr. Chua since 1999 along with my parents+sister. About 5 years ago I went into the dental office with some tooth pain, I had been experiencing it for a while but unfortunately waited too long, Dr. stated I needed a root canal. She performed the root canal and let me know she would place a crown on that tooth the following year because of my insurance deductible. The crown was never placed but I had continued following up for routine cleanings, every time I went in they asked if the root canal tooth bothered me but It didn't so they never mentioned anything about it. Cut to November 2023 I go in for a routine cleaning (Dr. Chua's daughter is now a Dentist as well so I was scheduled with her but didn't know until I was in the dental chair) Dr chua came in to look at X-rays and said she "sees something" and was referring me to a specialist for a CT. I did make the mistake of putting that off again because I was planning a wedding for April 2024 and was NOT made aware there could possibly be an infection. My sister had gone into the office during this time and the office told her that I'm probably due for my cleaning and I should call (I didn't appreciate this because we don't live together and they typically call me for reminders to schedule a cleaning, she's 40.) I admit that was my mistake putting it off but when I finally went in for the CT scan the specialist let me know that I had an infection in the tooth that had previously had a root canal and they had to redo it. I went back for the procedure and they made me sign a waiver that I would contact Dr. Chua immediately for the crown placement. I contacted Dr Chua's office to provide them with my husband's dental insurance and they let me know they would look into cost for crown placement. I tried getting answers in regard to insurance and pricing but it seemed like they never heard back from my insurance for the costs and they didn't let me know that my husbands insurance wasn't showing me on the policy (I found that out later) I was also offered the cash prices for the crown placement. During this time I asked for a new mouth guard because mine was cracked, he quoted me $115 for the mouth guard so I said yes and did the fitting that same day. When I received the EOB it was actually $248 which is a big difference, I feel. I called to get some answers and they stated they would give me a "courtesy discount". I took the discount and paid the $115. A couple days ago I received another bill for $45 because during my cleaning she fitted me for the mouth guard so they charged an office visit on top of my covered routine dental visit. I did ask Dr. Chua for my wisdom teeth to be removed because I felt a lot of pressure at times behind my ear and she stated that because it was already out I didn't need it removed (this was about a year and half ago) The new dentist I went to said "why wouldn't she want to take them out if they're bothering you?" He scheduled me my very first visit for wisdom teeth removal. I had previously asked Dr. Chua if she had any recommendations for cosmetic dental procedures (ex: whiteneing, bonding, veneers, braces) because I am not happy with my smile, she offered me the teeth whitening kit with trays. It did work for sometime but stains resurfaced a few months later. I am now waiting for a pre authorization through my insurance for Invisalign through my new Dentist. I say all this in case there Is someone that has been going to their same dentist for many years and feel they are not being heard when it comes to your medical treatment. As far as staff goes it seems like they always have someone new, I never asked what happened to Mary but she made me feel very comfortable and very warm each time I was there. On the bill attached to photos you can see it says Cigna HMO was billed but they told me they don't accept that and I was NOT showing up active on the policy. My primary ins is Delta Dental and secondary is Cigna HMO.

My previous review of this place is blasphemy comparing to the reality of things. I am truly ashamed for what I did. For anyone who came here because of the passionate review, I deeply, sincerely apologize. I am sorry. The man who did this to me is still operating, taking patients and getting paid for butchering what the evil tooth fairy would probably hire him for. The details what happened is.. not only grotesque, unjust but absolutely unnecessary. I came in because of a coupon in my mailbox-- that was the first mistake. NEVER go to a medical professional who advertises with coupons. I should've known better but my bank account disagreed and I let it happen. Not only did I pay for this guy to take out my two front teeth, I let him crack the inside of my bones with a hammer that rattled my brain while I'm fully conscious. I sat in that chair that day feeling whats at the end of his chisel and hammer vibrating my entire skull while resisting biting down on anything. Every time I left that place it's like my lips and gums have been replaced with novocaine induced Vienna sausages and I'd just been through the ringer with Mike Tyson's left hook. Numbing me up with an insane amount of anesthetic was common. I went with it because everything he did caused pain and swelling. Even a cavity filling left me sausage lipped for hours if not days. He took CT scans without asking me to remove any of my facial piercings, then show it to me as we go over the treatment plans. How he loved that CT machine, it was maybe a year after I started going there when he wanted to do a third CT scan on me. I said no in fear of tumors, a doctor should know this. A negligent professional would ignore it. I'd spent somewhere between 8-10 grand over the course of two years and all I bought was more problems. After removing my front teeth, at the age of 27-28, he had me wear these removable dentures, placement teeth, which induces the amount of plague and teeth stone. He kept on telling me it's because there's not enough bone so he can't do anything. He didn't even try doing to bone graft after the teeth extractions but just left them. I listened because I'm an idiot, trusting and scared. The guy's wife works there as the bill collector, a title that was only made clear through her actions. And not a very good one at that. After the first couple of visits, my invoices went from a full print out that I can look but not bring home, to little post-it notes with a lump sum of what I owed. There was a false sense of security because it felt like visiting home. Every time she talked to me, she preferred to call me by my given name and not the name I ask to go by. The first time I wrote a check- 4.5 grand she said it bounced, then proudly shows me a print out of the bank saying it bounced and that they're going to charge me a fee for it because I didn't have enough in there, I looked and the print out clearly states I had enough to cover. I had to borrow money just to write this check, I knew how much I had. The dentist here also sent me to the endodontist he works with to do several root canals, one of which became infected, located near two other teeth with root canal also done there. When I asked for what to do, they not only referred me to either keep retreating the wrong tooth but also wanted to extract the wrong tooth. But hey, they crowns Dr. Chen put in were gorgeous and that's all it matters right? Molars I can't use. It's been at least five years since I've been able to chew on my right side. My facial structure has now all shifted. It'a permanently changed the way I look. i should've gone to another dentist but I was terrified. I knew I needed to but then the pandemic hits and shoot... let the procrastination begin. On top of it all, I had two implants done there, one of which failed, got severely infected after the second year. It's not until I went to an actual competent dental surgeon did I realize these implants are not only tiny but made of cheap material. All to save money while I pay the full price. They knew I'm disabled and they still took advantage. They knew I made no money and yet they still spend my checks. Oh, also, American Express users are not welcome here. Dolly always asks for Visa or Masters because AE charges a higher percentage. That's discrimination of your vendors and customers. There's much much more they've done that I don't feel comfortable taking about on here but this is not a good place. It's cloaked in evil in a parking lot where fortunes await but not visited. The worst part is when I told Dolly my implant is infected and swollen, doctor suddenly has to go on two weeks vacation, leaving that day. I'm still trying to get the total amount I've paid over the years, I still owe them for the two crowns I never put in on the implants he savagely drilled in.

Dr. Chen…read morepersonally performed a very thorough digital imaging of my teeth and then spent 20 minutes with me going through my options. Unlike another dentist who was confident he could do the implant, Dr. Chen wasn't so sure and looked at several different views before concluding, as I could clearly see on the various images, that I lacked the bone mass to properly implant a post. Dr. Chen said he could install a 3-tooth bridge, but he said my current dentist could do that as well. He asked me if I was happy with my current dentist, and when I said I was, he said I should have him do the work. I was amazed that Dr. Chen was thinking of my best interests even at the expense of a considerable fee! I was also impressed with the professionalism of him and his staff.
