The check-in person was super welcoming and told me about some of the other dance formats offered there. This dance studio caters to both children and adults. So you will see kids running around, which is ok, but I am not really used to. The class started on time. The instructor had great energy and encouraged us to have fun and do things our own style. I haven't been dancing in a while, so I knew it would be a good challenge for me. I really had a lot of fun. My only surprise is that the classes are only 60 mins. I think they ought to be 70 minutes to include a proper 5 min warm-up and 5-minute cool-down. There wasn't a lot of warming up in the beginning of this particular class. I've taken adult dance classes for years and I am used to something that include some warm-up movements to get the rotating joints going, like neck rolls, shoulder rolls, and hip and lower back movements. The class did include a relaxing cool down with stretching for the lower body and upper body. I plan to take more Hip-Hop style classes. They offer Cardio Hip-Hop, Beginner Hip-Hip and more advanced levels, Sensual Dance, Twerk, Ballet, Shuffle, Street Jazz and a lot more. I plan to try about 5 more formats and sign-up for one class for the summer session. I highly recommend this place!

She is not a believer that hard work can pay off, so she forms a very quick opinion about your child that will never change regardless of how much they improve. The studio is a fortune with little to show for it. You pay all of your classes twice a year but there is pretty much an expense every month. They up charge for costumes - they were 85 dollars a piece. I found that my girls were always told what they couldn't do versus teaching them how to do it. One of my daughters, who was told she was a "bad" dancer, is now on BCC Poms. If I truly had a really talented child, I would not choose C-Unit. They do not have a long track record of getting their dancers onto Broadway, etc. There are other studios in the area that do.

I got the 7:50pm cause the time posted was 8pm class, but apparently it would start at 8:30pm. People did their own "stretching". As soon as the class started the with choreographer begin with his first step. He gave a good class but not the usual type of classes I attend to in the Philippines. They usually start with an intro about the piece and what to focus on when doing the class which eventually came up during my class here. The technique and choreography is good. :)

I came here on a Sunday with my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren for a special event. It was…read morethe 11th Annual McClean Chocolate Festival on January 29, 2023. I was impressed by the size, cleanliness and functional layout of the community center. There was convenient & easy parking and a large lobby area that draws you back towards diverging hallways with a series of large adjacent rooms for holding community activities and events. For the 2023 Chocolate Festival there was a whole hallway of rooms where the vendors were displaying their delicious chocolate candies & treats that they had for sale! It was a very organized event. All purchases being made with tickets that you bought from the cashiers at a long table in the lobby just around the corner of the hallway. Down the other hallway was a special room set up as a children's game room with arts & crafts and Legos for the kids to build with. My grandchildren loved it! There were benches for relaxing on conveniently placed by the bathrooms. We sat there and shared some of the chocolate treats that we bought! That same day a flute quartet was providing music for the visitors. This was a super fun event. I would gladly return to this venue for other family themed activities.
