Then I was blinded by a very bright light from the back of the truck. It was very difficult to see for the remainder of my trip home. I called the next morning after speaking with my insurance agent who confirmed they cannot charge tax, and was told by Joe the owner that it was a "convenience fee" for using the credit card machine. Ironically the "convenience fee" was $43.75 which was the exact amount of Erie County sales tax at 8.6% on $500. This company is illegally charging its customers for tax when all tax is already included in the reimbursement from the insurance company. The owner stated I was ungrateful and that it would have taken an additional 2-3 weeks if it was repaired at the dealership instead. He was rude and verbally abusive. I would not recommend anyone take their vehicle to this scam artist.
