Poor customer service. I made a visit to this office after getting bitten from my cat. Good thing I…read moregot my wonderful pet rabies shots. It was a pain to drive my car with one hand, so in turn, I was 8 minutes late. The receptionist told me they would reschedule my appointment because they had this 5 minute rule (they showed me the sign on the desk to prove it, or to rub it in because it seemed like the lead receptionist enjoyed in canceling the appointment) This receptionist also argued with me when I asked to speak to a manager and even threatened she wouldn't cancel any future appointment. Who's the boss here, the receptionist or the doctors? I spoke to the manager and she was of no help. It seems like this office thrives on bullying the customer. Customers keep them in business. It's like biting the hand that feeds you. (MY CAT!) So my appointment was rescheduled for hours later (keep in mind my hand is still in pain, infected and swollen. I guess no one cares if I lose my hand to infection.) I met with a nurse and she was very friendly and sent me off with antibiotics. I was better in about 2 weeks. It is like two different world's at this office. The front office is like a 3rd world country type of customer service, and the back office is like what people think America should be- First world civilized country wanting to take care of you. To add, when I left in the elevator after the first appointment was canceled another patient from the waiting room agreed with me. They said the customer service is ridiculous. I wonder how many others think the same. Running a business is difficult. The easiest part if taking care of customers-it is if you actually care about them. I am not sure how a physician office can operate and hate the customer. Seems counterintuitive. Avoid this office unless you're craving some drama in your life.

Looking elsewhere after 25+ years~ I have seen multiple…read moreproviders, (I truly miss Dr. Skurla), and really like Dr. Sharma and Dr. Wollman, but getting an appointment with anyone but a PA takes 6 months. Then if you are a few minutes late, they completely cancel the appointment and you have to reschedule-2 more months away! Everyone I know who is a patient there prefers going to urgent care over FH. Now they charge a $75 fee for the "privilege" of being their patient! I think they got too big for their britches. Patients don't seem to be the focus. I am actively looking elsewhere. My friend was also a patient for decades but had a male PA tell him he didn't know why he had back pain but he should just take ibuprofen-another provider sent him for an MRI and found nerves that were pinched, which ibuprofen doesn't help. Then the same PA literally called him 20 min before his very last appointment to say that since it was a holiday, he probably didn't want to come in-PA actually didn't have other appointments and wanted to leave. He also told him he just needed to lose weight (to address back pain), and another Family Healthcare MD told him to stop putting food in his mouth! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I also had gone here after a fall a few years ago and they did not send me to get xray. A week later found out I had a broken back. Maybe need to have some geriatric training of staff.

I had an extremely unprofessional experience at Comprehensive Primary Care - Germantown today. My…read moreappointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM. When I got stuck in heavy traffic, I immediately called their call center. The representative clearly informed me that there is a 15-minute grace period and that if I arrived before 10:45 AM, I would still be seen. I rushed and arrived at 10:43 AM. When I walked in, the front-desk receptionist was outside in the hallway on her personal phone. She came inside 10:44 AM. I explained that I had an appointment, had already checked in online the day before, and had also notified the call center that I might be slightly late. She took my ID and insurance card, then at 10:46 AM told me that I needed to reschedule. It honestly looked like the front desk receptionist had no interest in doing her job. Instead of following her own office policies or showing basic professionalism, she seemed perfectly fine wasting patients' valuable time. She acted as if rescheduling people was easier than actually helping them. It's clear she has no understanding--or concern--for how valuable someone's time is, especially when the patient followed all the instructions given by their own system. This was completely unacceptable. I arrived within the grace period, I communicated ahead of time, and still I was turned away due to staff negligence and lack of professionalism. This office needs serious improvement in customer service, accountability, and the way they respect patients' time.

If she hadn't…read moretaken the time to listen, and process all of the information, I wouldn't still be here today. In 1991, when I was 16 years old, I was experiencing a number of strange infections. At once point, she pulled my mother aside and said "your daughter has a severe ecoli infection in her vagina, and she doesn't have a fever or an elevated white cell blood count, and that isn't normal". Unfortunately, my mother (for reasons perhaps only a psychologist can help me with), blew it off, attributing it to just normal growing whatever, but Dr. Zarick was insistent that there was something wrong (and that I needed to follow up with my normal pediatrician). This is significant, because as the years past the problem became worse and worse, my infections more extreme and scary, and as doctors kept asking me about my past, I slowly started to remember...'wait a minute, there was this one doctor at Centreville Urgent Care who was very concerned about me...' And then when I finally got my hands on some of my old records, there it was--yeast infections, bronchitis, strep throat, and of course the ecoli infection i cultured positive for without the corresponding elevated wbc seen in most normal people... She was working at the Urgent Care, but if she hadn't taken the time to think about what was going on with me, and alert my mother (a conversation they had in the hallway outside of the room I was in, which thankfully I overheard), I wouldn't be here today. She was the first physician to know something was wrong, and speak up about it. When I stumbled upon a more recent review written by a patient of hers that said the same positive things I felt about her, I was very glad to read she's still practicing medicine with the same heart and soul she had back when I was younger.
