Didn't have all the options available for the weird drinks my brother ordered, but they made us what they could and it was well balanced and tasted pretty good. Talented bar staff that are able to quickly make an actually good tasting drink while crazy busy. Crowded and loud with live music and people dancing. But good vibes. Overall, very disappointed in the experience our group had here. The general feel of the place is cool; that's the best thing that could be said here. Our server greeted at the door and seemed great at first. We had immediate issues when our orders were brought out in a weird order and included items that we didn't realize would be included with it. The entrées themselves were extremely small and not worth the money; that was just including the parts that were actually decent to eat. We had some people on our group that had some food/dietary limitations that were not addressed when we ordered the food/not clearly stated enough on the menu, and when we politely address these to the server, he became very cold and rude. It took ages to get the replacement food out, and the server even tossed one of the plates onto the table and some of the food fell off of it and he did nothing to fix it. I have rarely seen experience as unprofessional and outright hostile before in an establishment like this, and to say that I was shocked with the severe understatement. No brainer sports bar to go in Santa Monica/ Venice area. We came here on a Monday night, it's easier to get a drink. Service is never magnificent here but it's a decent spot to hang out with friends and have conversations over happy hours BOGO drinks. I got an Irish coffee mocktail (basically coffee), and it's not bad. I was surprised it's better than the coffee at Starbucks with a cheaper price. Really disappointing experience all around. We were charged $70 for five shots (equivalent to maybe 2), yet the total volume poured looked like it would not even equal two proper shots. I honestly do not think each one was even 20 ml. It was far below a standard 1 oz 30 ml pour per shot and looked more like something you would measure cough syrup with. The amount served was completely disproportionate to what we were charged and it ultimately felt like a scam. To make it worse, the shots were served in plastic cups that were smaller than a NyQuil dose cup, which made the whole thing feel even more ridiculous given the price. If you are charging premium bar prices, at least pour a proper amount and serve it in real glassware. On top of that, the attitude from the bartenders and much of the staff was rude and dismissive. This was not just my opinion. Our entire group felt the same way, and we even heard similar complaints from other patrons while we were there. What is most frustrating is that this still has not been made right. There has been no meaningful resolution and no accountability. Extremely disappointing and not the pub experience you would expect. read more

Really solid sports bar. This location's been around for a long time. I'm a fan because they don't charge cover fee for the UFC fights. It's been a while since I've actually tried to watch UFC fights at bars, so I'm not sure if any of them cover anymore, but it was pretty awesome that they didn't. Other than that, the space is pretty huge and it could get really crowded really fast. It's in a high traffic area. The beers and drinks themselves are pretty standard. I would say at sports bar and I don't mean that as a bad thing. With crowded bars, I usually get worried about getting served, but the folks here are pretty solid and on top of it. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon with a relative who is a Santa Monica local. A guy with long dark hair, who seemed like the host, never greeted us or even bothered to make eye contact. Our waitress never cracked a smile or greeted us. She just took our order, as if we were infringing upon her time, then had us pay in advance. The cheeseburger was decent. The fries were really good. Jameson's pub offers drinks and food at a reasonable price. This location has been my go to during the Summers while bar hopping. Since my main restaurant in the area has been closed down, Jameson's has taken over as my go to location on Main st. I do avoid sports nights as the place can get pretty crazy packed. The most recent visit was during the Men's USA basketball final game. There was no where to sit or even walk through. There were loud cheers heard from several stores down. Tons of people were gathered and they even have a couple of bouncers just to make sure things aren't too crazy. Since Jameson's is a first come first served seating situation, it can become tricky to find a table on popular nights. The bouncer is so rude it makes me actually never want to go back. I asked if I could sit and get fries and a coke and he said no since I forgot my ID, totally fine I understand. So instead I ordered fries for pickup online since that's all I really wanted anyway. The Mango Cart on draft had a nice citrus taste. Steak fries...how can you go wrong! We both LOVED our sandwich selections - but could easily have split one - the portions are very generous! Loved this place. I went on Sunday and took someone who is a Celtics fan. The vibe was fun, and food was surprisingly good. We ordered sliders, fried chicken, fries, and coleslaw. We don't really frequent pubs so it was cool to actually get handed 2 drinks when ordered one. I really enjoyed the vibe. After we went I was checking their IG and saw a Wednesday all you can eat Prime Rib meal. Well, we decided it to check it out. And honestly the meal was so good, better than some $60 dollar steaks I've had. Had some wine. And I ordered a second steak and believed there would be some catch to the all you can eat --but no, we got a second plate. Game was on, in big TV waitress was super nice and fast. Not much for the price for corned beef plate but other places do not offer it at all. My neighbor had more meat and when I ordered to go as well and asked to have enough meat they just charged me extra $10 for more meat. This seems like a fun place to hangout with friends, even if it's a random weekday night as they have different specials and events depending on the day. The servers are very nice, too. The inside was definitely very crowded and loud, and it was hard to hear each other while dining inside. I think because of the noise level, a lot of our order came incorrect; however, the staff did end up comping some of the meal to make up for it, which we appreciated. The food was good and not expensive at all compared to other restaurants in the area. I ordered the chicken/apple/brie sandwich, which was tasty and less than $14 for a decently sized sandwich. The portobello fries were also good and crispy, and came with a couple dips. You do have to self-serve water, though, which can be a little annoying (especially when it's crowded). Went to jameson's pub on a Thursday, and a friend of mine was rejected because she was "too intoxicated." She was talking to the bouncer, walking in a straight line, making eye contact, and acting like a normal person. We had all been drinking but were not overly intoxicated in ANY way. Since when can't people that are of the appropriate age not drink when going to a bar??? I don't understand the issue at all. It seemed like the issue was racism from my perspective. When we asked for the manager he was also rude and dismissive. He didn't even try to explain the reasoning behind refusing service. I am livid beyond belief and will not be coming back. read more
