    Onion Rings

Came here while I was craving a burger and it hit the spot. Big juicy burger with many different options to choose from. I got the cowboy burger which came with bacon onion rings and everything you want when craving a meaty burger. The onion rings were great and they also offer curly fries which is always a plus. They have huge back patio with plenty of tv to showcase sporting events. The service is friendly and got seated quickly. Great spot to enjoy a burger and beer to wind down the week.

Great neighborhood bar with friendly staff! Very warm and inviting interior along with a great happy hour. Pro Tip: enjoy your drinks inside, outside on patio, or on the pergola along Main Street

We were so pleasantly surprised with this place! Came here on a Saturday Night because they partner with the InKind App and we had a discount to use, it looked crowded but we were still seated right away. The library theme is so cute throughout the space and the menu, plus there's a whole backyard patio too. We got burgers and they were good and very filling, honestly the prices of everything was decent too. Would definitely recommend!

Great happy hour, knowledgeable, staff, and a great selection of beer. Nice atmosphere and very quiet on a Tuesday afternoon.

Came here during a weekday where there was a football game going on but there were like 10 people in the front and plenty of open seats. sat at the bar where there were only 3 patrons. It was NOT crowded at all. I believe the owner/manager was walking around greeting the regulars. I got the menu but waited like 15-20 mins and nobody came by to take my order since the bartender went elsewhere. So they know I'm there since they gave me a menu. No one even checked up on me or asked to give me water. I can't speak for the food since I left due to lack of service.

Thank y'all so much @The Library Alehouse: Ruby, guest hostess, Chris, bartender, Brian, mgr, I spent an amazing beach day here w/my bestie. As an Eastsider [Los Feliz] I wanted to experience how they be doing thangs Pacific Ocean side. Cdn't have chosen more diverse spot. I people watched colorful sidewalk populations, I loved chalkboard draft IPAs, I shared perfectly prepared juicy cheeseburger w/sweet potato fries...Ambiance: (2) outdoor patios, dark interior w/flatscreens 4 those who follow American futbol; from front patio, I viewed the blue Pacific. Cd not have wanted better staff interaction.

I went here with coworkers for dinner and drinks after work. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and allow you to make a reservation. We sat in the back outdoor patio - there are heaters available and it is quite comfortable. I ordered the fish and chips and a sangria. Fish and chips were $18 but a huge portion that my friend and I were able to share and feel comfortable. They have a variety of burgers on their menu and are able to make them vegetarian friendly using beyond meat. Overall we had a great time here and would definitely come again. Street parking only, found parking on 2nd street a few streets down but make sure to read signs as some parts of the street are permit only after a certain time!

    Ale House Burger (super good)

This is a great locals bars in Santa Monica. I like this bar because it's got a super chill atmosphere, where you can actually have a conversation with someone. They have really good burgers here. The chefs cook your burger to your preference and they are really good at accurately cooking the burger rare or medium rare. I really like their Alehouse burger. I normally wouldn't think that Gorgonzola would work on a burger but it's melds perfectly with the garlic aioli. They have really good beers on tap here. I'm not just saying that, they have Pliny the elder, and little Bo pils.... Both world class beers. The service is matches the atmosphere and keeps it chill. I really appreciate the vibe here!

As thousands before me can tell you this is as good a place for a burger and beer as there is in all of Los Angeles. Tonight we had the ale house burger and the Ahi burger with a hummus appetizer. The service was good and the ambiance is that of a relaxed Sunday Funday bar.

The very best shrimp enchiladas. They are on the menu as vegan enchiladas but then you add shrimp.

The place has been around for years and most of their food is just great. It has a full bar and a separated bar area which is so cute, but gets super crowded and loud. Eat in the dinning room. The place is older and could use a refresh, but it is cute and always super clean. The service is very nice. They will take good care of you. They have a nice selection of beer on tap. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast is really tasty and they make great eggs. I don't care for black pudding so I never get it. They have great hot and cold sandwiches and wonderful salads. They are famous for their fish and chips. They are some of the best. They are perfectly deep fried and the chips are great. I also get a side of mashed because it is so good. I also had a pasty, which is not on the menu, and I was super disappointed, so I won't do that again. They used to be great. I love their hot beef sandwich and often get that for lunch. There is something for everyone here. Parking is a bear, but you might find a place on the street or their is a paid lot across the street. You can walk to the Santa Monica Pier from here or to the beach. We will be back again and again.

Our server greeted at the door and seemed great at first. We had immediate issues when our orders were brought out in a weird order and included items that we didn't realize would be included with it. The entrées themselves were extremely small and not worth the money; that was just including the parts that were actually decent to eat. We had some people on our group that had some food/dietary limitations that were not addressed when we ordered the food/not clearly stated enough on the menu, and when we politely address these to the server, he became very cold and rude. It took ages to get the replacement food out, and the server even tossed one of the plates onto the table and some of the food fell off of it and he did nothing to fix it. I have rarely seen experience as unprofessional and outright hostile before in an establishment like this, and to say that I was shocked with the severe understatement. To summarize: this was not a good experience whatsoever and none of us will be returning here again.

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.
