Freaking AMAZING vibes! As soon as I walked in, karaoke was in full swing with people singing, drinking, and having a great time. The energy was fun and lively all around. Upstairs, there's a pool table with seating where you can hang out and play (I believe no reservation is needed). As long as I lived somewhat close - I had never been here. Drove by more times than I can count - even walked past. That was until this past Saturday. Don't be surprised when you see more check ins and pics from me taken here. It's Santa Monica - so unless you haven't been - I shouldn't need to explain parking to you. The closest structure is on 4th. You can exit out onto the alley between 3rd and 4th and it'll take you right to the Brit. And I mean right there. Follow these instructions and you'll see what I mean. It's two stories, both indoor and outdoor seating. Tv's everywhere. Good for watching sports. Which is why I was there on a Saturday morning. Met up with some Penn State Nittany Lions fans who invited me to watch the game with them. The Brit is a PSU and also a Philadelphia Eagles hot spot. I was the first person there. Met Sonia - not sure if I'm spelling her name right but she was very friendly. There was another staff member who showed up and was the primary server but I don't remember her name. She was attentive, courteous and handled her business both indoors and out. See pics. went for a breakfast sandwich - though I did throw back a few adult beverages. For bar food, the prices were great and the food was good. The drinks were drinks - Bourbon, Beer and a Bloody Mary. Not overpriced and not stingy on the pours. It was a fun time - not rowdy but supportive fans. I don't know what it's like in the evenings but I'd definitely stop in to check it out instead of going to another place nearby that I usually find myself at. read more

The bar was packed with Eagles fans, had Darren Sproles upstairs signing autographs, and even had an outdoor bar with a Princess Diana mural on the wall. Unfortunately we tried to go in during 12:40am the pub was packed and seemed fun even though they kept replaying the same reggaeton song, one of our group members had misplaced their id so we were at the front table looking for it on the outside for about 5 min before walking in when some guy half drunk tell us to get out of there that we cant hang out, out there and he seemed to want to start issues with security behind him instead of explaining ourselves we just left it was extremely unpleasant and it ruined our night don't go here staff just don't seem very friendly read more

What a cool little bar! I've live in SM all my life and this was my first time here. I always thought of it as a "tourist" type place and stayed away. Out of the blue, I was biking by and saw the happy hour sign and went in for a beer. This is totally a locals type joint and vibe. At 7:00 pm, it was not crowded and plenty of seats at the bar. Surprisingly good Fish n' Chips for this little place! Two beers and the Fish n' Chips was under $30!!! You don't find deals like this anywhere. Good atmosphere and a very friendly bartender. Wish I'd discovered this place sooner. I was told the crowds come in after 9:00-10:00 pm, so if you're into the crowd and karaoke scene, go late. If you want a mellow bar, go before 9:00 pm. Sad that Taco Bell Cantina will be replacing this bar in a couple of months. Hoping these folks can relocate nearby. Get there and enjoy the vibe while you can! read more

Finally an Eagles Bar!!! I was so happy to amongst fellow Philly fans. The main reason I enjoy football is my Husband. So we came together and he was very excited to sit down and watch, as he coaches his own imaginary football league every football season lol iykyk. But they turned him away at the door because he was wearing his Detroit Lions Jersey (yes we have a divided household) apparently this bar doesn't allow any other team jerseys or paraphernalia to be worn inside. So, because he was a good sport and didn't wanna ruin my experience he went to the car and removed his jacket and jersey and came back in with a plain T-shirt on. The bar itself is Dope AF upstairs downstairs, & outdoor seating with Philly and eagles well represented in decor and people in attendance. Love that. Unfortunately, since my husband was unable to enjoy himself fully due to not being able to wear his gear and represent his team I probably won't come back because he can't wear his jersey or his lions gear. Which makes me sad cause this place is awesome. I wish the owner could amend the rules and allow other jerseys to be worn. Part of enjoying the sport is sportsmanship and rivalry in a healthy way of course. Just my opinion I know others will feel different about this, but I vote for desegregation!! This is a pretty good place to grab a drink but I'd be weary about the food. It's a bit pricey and it's just fine. I would say typical bar food quality. The servers are nice. You can order on a table QR code or go up to the bar. They have some outside seating and indoor seating. I wouldn't get the quesadilla but the fish and chips were solid. I have so many things to say about this place. First of all, my friends and I are from the Bay Area and came down to LA and had plans to find a good pub to watch the football game at. This place was rather dirty. Didn't look like it was well kept at all. There wasn't a lot of seating on the main floor so we decided to go upstairs where the pool table was and they had some TVs there that we can catch the game on. Our server was friendly and turned on the game for us, but the audio did not match. The audio was matched up to the game below. When we asked if we can get audio on the television, we were told that the main game was playing downstairs Please help me understand how the cowboys game was the main game, when we were in LA and the LA Rams were playing. It made absolutely no sense. But that's just the ambience part that turned us off. Now. Let me tell you about the food. My friend ordered steak nachos and her nachos came with no steak at all. My other friend ordered a french dip and that one just really baffled me. The meat was not thinly sliced beef as what a French dip should have in it. Instead, it was something that looked similar to corned beef and it had some kind of strange gravy drizzled over it. No au jus. But it did come with a strange side of some other kind of meat that looked maybe like it could be carnitas. Not really sure. Then when my friend said something and decided to get something different instead, and she ordered steak nachos, hers also came with only a few small bits of steak. As for myself, I ordered The Philly cheesesteak. And it was tasty, but it was missing mushrooms and at that point in time I just didn't want to seem like I just was continuing to complain because I can tell that our waitress was getting rather frustrated with us because her annoyance was written all over her face But the part that really bothered me was they tried to double charge my friend for both the food that she didn't eat and the steak nachos. I let the other guy who was helping us out know that I just felt like that wasn't right that they were trying to double charge her and he said he would make it up by giving us free drinks. But that was already after having brought us free shots to try to make up for the poor service we were receiving. Now here's the funny thing, after we decided to take the piece offering and drink the shots, it didn't even taste like it had alcohol in it. It tasted like shot glasses full of raspberry lemonade. Thankfully the guy I spoke to made it right and took off one of the meals from my friend. But other than that, there was really absolutely no compensation for the terrible service that we received. Unfortunately this brought down a lot of the energy within our group and turn the experience a bit sour for us. I never like having a give bad reviews for a place, but this place just took the prize for really bad service. I will say that the guy who helped us tried to stay as friendly as he possibly could. But the waitress was so obviously frustrated with us. And for what reason, for speaking up that we were getting poor service, it makes no sense. I would never in a million years come back to this place again. And the only reason why I'm giving them two stars rather than one is because the guy made up for it by correcting the bill. Then again it wasn't anything super outstanding, he was just doing what was right in the first place. I guess out of the goodness of my heart is why I'm giving him a second star. read more

I have been coming to this place for years, Often by myself and I always love going to their tea place section. I noticed the price went up $10 for the tray but the quality of the food went down. The waitress working that section has been there for years, I can't recall her name, and she makes the experience worthy. She's very sweet and professional. I will try again. Then when it's my time to order I tell the bartender, I am a dd tonight and want something non alcoholic, she tells me about a non alcoholic Heineken after I ask for a virgin Shirly temple, which they didn't have grenadine for (acceptable), I then order a virgin margarita, she comes back 2-3 minutes later and says she doesn't have grenadine. When does a margarita, even a virgin one have grenadine? Long story short, she gave me a Heineken silver, which after sitting down I'm reading that it's 4.0% alcohol. Enjoyed a Euro2020 game here, the location is low key and dive like, but very fun, it is a welcome departure from the tourist spots which are all around. You will encounter everyday folks just enjoying the day. You can sit inside and outside, they have a patio are on the street which is perfect for enjoying a sunny day. This place has reasonable pricing on drinks considering the location and proximity to 3rd street. There is plenty of parking structures around, which are Free if you don't stay more than a few hours. On the plus side, I've come here with my daughters when walking around Santa Monica and they will let you use the bathroom. Cheerio! read more

A simple pub in the heart of Santa Monica. I have fond memories of wandering in on a Sunday evening when a Beatles cover band happened to be playing. All older gentlemen wearing Beatles style wigs, they were slumped over their guitars and seemed like they might fall collapse at any moment, despite wagging their heads back and forth. The music was astoundingly good, probably one of the best acts I've seen for free off the promenade, and the crowd was not as pretentious as you might expect. I imagine it sees a lot of tourists during the summer, like most places in this area. read more

The best part here is the atmosphere..they have a patio out front on Santa Monica Blvd. and have a big window to look out from inside and the big window helps with getting that awesome SM beach breeze inside. read more

My 1 star review is for the karaoke dj on Friday night August 8th, not for the pub or the pub staff. The pub itself is a great little bar with tons of fantastic locals, great drink and food selection with solid happy hour options. The Friday night karaoke dj sucks. Karaoke starts at 9:30pm. The dj shows up at 9:30 to start karaoke and can't even figure out how to connect to the monitor and even went so far to yell at the bartender about their faulty tech until another patron had to help him figure out how to duplicate his screen and a second regular has to help by around the sign up sheet. Then an hour after karaoke is supposed to start and there's at least a page and a half of sign up's no song has started yet. After arguing with another customer on what's going on, Dj gave weak excuses on why he hadn't done his job like not having a pen for the sign up sheet?? It's a great bar and usually a great karaoke experience but it was soured by this dj and his poor performance and excuses on why he couldn't do his job. I love this bar but they should find someone else for karaoke because this guy is totally not it as this is not the first time that some stupid excuse for cancelling karaoke has happened here. read more
