Came here for a little Octoberfest action on a nice weekend and had a good time. The place was absolutely packed, but I guess that's to be expected. There were two bars going at Jamesport Farm when I was here - an outdoor window where you can order a quick beer, and an indoor bar that seemed to have more of a variety. I was dying for a pumpkin beer even though it was summer weather outside, but was a bit let down to find that even though there were people walking around with a cinnamon sugar rim, mine didn't get that same special treatment. No matter, it was still a good beer. I ended up trying a sour beer as well here which was very bright and refreshing. Overall, a solid selection of local beers with nice views and ample tables. We got to watch the stein holding competition while here which was really entertaining. Live music here was also a fun time. I appreciated the variety of food truck offerings as well. There are plenty of lawn games if that's what you're into. Solid spot for a beer and a good time, IMHO. read more

As someone who looks forward every year to pumpkin beer with a cinnamon sugar rim a New York fall tradition that's surprisingly hard to find elsewhere) I was thrilled to see their seasonal "Basic Witch" pumpkin beer on tap. Served perfectly with that classic cinnamon sugar rim. We grabbed lunch from the truck, simple but solid hot dogs and fries ... my favorite, and enjoyed our meal outside while listening to the band. The bartenders were super friendly, happy to suggest beers and chat about the brewery's seasonal option. My husband and I love to bring our son here. It's such a fun, spacious, family friendly brewery. People love to bring their dogs and kids, it's just such a nice environment. Everything is outdoors, but they have tables, chairs and over hanging sails and umbrellas for shade. You go inside to order beers and they have a food truck on the weekend. They also have this great selection of ciders, one of them is pineapple, that is out of this world. read more

They don't serve food but usually have a food truck on site for snacks and munchies. Jamesport Farm Brewery is a nice spot. They've got plenty of benches outdoors to enjoy your drinks at. They also have a decent number of corn hole boards here and a food truck on the property to grab a bite. The property looks nice and feels well maintained. It was a pretty chill Saturday when we came, but it was hot so that could have played a factor. Service was friendly and quick! There was no live band on a Saturday afternoon, just a large speaker playing a mix of rock and country music. The beers they had to offer were alright but nothing special. Sort of a bland summer selection, but that's my personal taste. The ciders were decent and I ended up getting the peach mango. We enjoyed one drink and then bounced. This brewery is now owned by the same owners of the Long Island Farm Brewery, so it'll be interesting to see what they plan on doing with this place and if they start to add more live music or events as they settle into ownership. read more

I've been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed! A great atmosphere with delicious beer! Most recently I've been in the winter and I didn't expect much of a crowd but this place was buzzing! The indoor area has plenty of space so it didn't feel overcrowded. There was live music which is always a vibe! It is so nicely decorated for the winter. Outside is nice as well multiple fire pit areas and a food truck. The Saturday that I went they offered wreath making for $40 which included a beer and it was so fun! Highly recommend read more

We had received gift certificates this past Christmas from family in Virginia who knew we enjoyed going there . Every season they close during the winter months for several weeks . Some assumed business as usual . We didn't realize they'd be new ownership . This new ownership is not honoring our $100 gift card , nor several persons whom I discovered on the Facebook page . Even though the gift card still says " jamesport farm brewery ." There wasn't a name change . When you obtain a business , you obtain their debt. Unfortunately, they lost several regular guests. We walked out once we inquired about the gift card and were denied .There are other places to go to enjoy music and beer. I just feel bad for my teenage nephew in Virginia who thought he was buying his aunt and uncle a nice , fun gift . read more

Honestly wasn't the 'biggest fan' in the past: it wasn't bad, just really long lines, slow service, beer was decent but the atmosphere is why you went. But now everything seems more streamlined which is nice, and apparently LIFB is making some of the beer now which checks out cause I love their stuff read more

I'm disappointed with the recent changes. Actually, I'm devastated. The new closed-door policy makes the place feel unwelcoming. Both the garage door and entrance door are shut, which creates a less friendly atmosphere. Previously, the tent provided a much-needed refuge from the heat for both customers and bands. Now, it's been removed and replaced with unstable black umbrellas that shift with the wind, creating a loud, chaotic noise that sounds like a tornado. Also, it's a shame that the frosés are no longer available. It's a crime if you ask me. It was the only drink I really enjoyed, and even the guys who typically go for beer appreciated having a refreshing frosé to end the evening. Bye bye forever Jamesport. read more

This used to be one of the few places to hear live BANDS but they removed them and the tent which used to house them and many heat weary customers! Garage door is closed and the place is much less welcoming. They also removed their best item, the Froze. Beer was never good to begin with but the environment saved that ... no more! We visited with family and had such an amazing day! The beer selection has something for everyone. We loved the live music, and the food trucks were a perfect addition. The beer garden is absolutely gorgeous! Yes, the tent is gone, but there is still plenty of shade, and honestly, now you get to see the gorgeous view of the beer garden and the beautiful property it sits on! It's such a great vibe. Also, I noticed people's reviews stating the doors are not open, and it's not very welcoming, but that couldn't be further from the truth! When we were there everything was open and it was a beautiful day, so maybe when others went the weather didn't allow for that. Can't wait to go back again! read more

Absolutely love this place! Plenty of non-beer options including wine and the food trucks they get are amazing. The beer was great with a wide selection of choices. Atmosphere is top notch and the live music was fantastic. So glad they now allow pets and kids. The table setups allow for a great time to bring the whole family. So happy to be back at this location! I popped in Friday for the opening day and was in awe at how lovely the grounds were. The tent used to hide the natural beauty of the landscape and I'm happy to be able to return after having a child of my own (without paying a cover). Looking forward to many more visits with my family, enjoying amazing live music, tasty local brews and welcoming staff. The servers went out of their way to get to know me and it looks like they post on social media often with updates for music and food truck offerings. I would give zero stars if I could. Over tanned bartender was rude and has some kind of superior complex. Took my daughter and a few friends for her 21st birthday. Rude bartender was unpleasant from the get go and decided she was going to cut them off after 2 drinks each (3 for the boys). We were there for almost 3 hours. 2 sets of parents took 6 kids to drink responsibly. They had designated drivers. We weren't over serving our children but she decided they were having too much fun for her liking. Extremely uncalled for and ridiculous. I will never go back there again. This rude woman put a damper on what was a supposed to be a fun, responsible 21st birthday celebration. And Gary (the manager, I guess) was no better. He was insisting the girls drink water. They showed no signs of intoxication (they were laughing and having fun). Mind you, a group of women a few tables over from us were falling down and needed assistance to walk...it was okay to continue to serve them? This place was much more fun under previous ownership. My friends and I have been looking forward to the opening of our favorite place for months. We have been patrons of Jamesport Farm for years, we were so excited to finally have a reopening date. Our excitement was immediately dashed when we learned it would be family friendly. We have frequented Jamesport because they provided an adult only drinking experience. It was like a playground this past Sunday, children on bikes, blowing bubbles, playing soccer, running up and down the cornhole boards. If I wanted to hangout with children on the weekends I'd have my own. Sad to see they've made these changes. Positively, the staff continued to be wonderful and provide excellent services. read more
