Jason's Vineyard forever has my heart. Even more so now that I know they have goats! So this all started when me and 3 friends decided to do a road trip to Long Island. And I know what you're thinking....girl...Long Island. You mean where the train go? Baby, yes! The Long Island wine trail or as a like to call it Long Island Wine Country. Pause. Don't correct me lol Is thee hot spot for all things wine and super accessible. I've been going to Jasons for years, mostly as an annual wine escape with my family and the wine never disappoints! You can also bring outside food which I love but they have some snacks for purchase! The staff is super friendly. The views are beautiful. They have a really nice outdoor wooden deck and I bought a few bottles to go. But did I mention the goats. Give me all the cute goats! Me and my friends were obsessed! You pick your own flight of wines and then carry them out to a covered patio. Nice old style jazz music playing. Pretty outdoor gazebo and vineyards with baby goats in the yard. Very peaceful and quite romantic. We danced to slow dance together and then other couples picked up on that and started doing it too. I love wine and I like visiting vineyards. I would say that this experience was different. We did a vineyard tour and by the time our group got to the vineyard our wine was already poured. I would've preferred to choose the wine I wanted to taste. The service was nice and the staff was friendly. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed walking through the fields. I will continue to visit the vineyards on Long Island. I just wished that they served food. I did purchase two bottles of wine: Rose and Golden Fleece. The Golden Fleece was really good. The service is phenomenal, the seating is plentiful and the white wines amazing. I'm so glad we decided to pop in. No reservation needed here and they had the 2023 Best Sparkling Wine for the state. This was our favorite winery on the Long Island trip, it's a very family friendly farm with a petting zoo, live music and corn hole. We loved the flight selection options and frozen sangria. They don't sell food, but the wine is top tier and full bodied. It was also nice to just have a counter service venue with self seating instead of having to make a reservation. Love this place. It's cozy and has great wines. I come every Thursday after work. The atmosphere is calming, the employees are terrific and the wine is really great. Summer time is a treat sitting outside near the vineyards. The baby goats add to the atmosphere. But unfortunately after going there for 11 years we encountered a weird issue with the so called security person who decided to profile us. He asked us to check our cooler after doing so he said take things out, we agreed .... Only to tell us no coolers allowed. So we left the cooler in the car and met our friends, 12 of us on the deck . After seeing two other tables with their own food and coolers we were confused. We said nothing ordered 8 bottles of wine and had a nice time. Upon leaving he smiled at us and shrugged his shoulders and hands in a mocking way I called the place a few days later and was just told it was ok that he did that. This was a nice winery. I visited with my girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon, and we met up with some friends. Very spacious place. We all sat at a round table by the wine bar area, and it was conformable. We ordered a few bottles of both red wine and white wine and split them both. I enjoyed them both. The golden fleece was my favorite of the two, but the Hercules red wine was a nice go to choice as well. They also had some live music being performed there, which was a nice touch. You are allowed to bring in some snacks, so you can eat while drinking some wines. That is a huge plus for me! Overall, this was a nice place to spend a few hours catching up with friends. read more

Love this place. The wine is great and so is the service. It is scenic with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This has fast become one of our regular visits. They also now have the cutest baby goats!!!! I love that they have a designated area that allows people to bring and sit with their Kids and dogs in the picnic area while other spots are designated 21+ only. I think it's a smart idea from the managerial perspective to do this because too many times I've seen "kid friendly" places allow the kids everywhere and it has led to negative interactions amongst families and other patrons. If you're on the north fork, this place is a definite must! read more

Never have I paid $15 for 4 x 1 oz pours - the small cups are 5 oz, they should at least be half full, if not full! - I asked the server if he was seriously charging me that much for what he gave and he said that's what he's done at Pindar and he said that's what he's done in the past where he works - not the appropriate response! Ok this place rocks!!!!! Great wine, plenty of seating, animals on premises (alpacas and sheep) and they allow dogs (outside seating only). We came here with our dog Kilo, a year and a half ago when he was 3 months old and now we came back when he was 2.5 years old. GreaT atmosphere plenty of seating available and the wine is pretty damn good!!! The customers there are all dog lovers it seems!!! Kilo made a ton of friends with people and their kids and it was such a good experience. It was labor day weekend and the place was pretty busy. Ton of parking and live music just made it a wonderful day out East for us. read more

My favourite thing about this winery is the fact that you are allowed to bring your own food. It is also dog friendly and on any given day you see many people bring their dogs. There are also animals on site in an inclosure. If I had to judge the service by today's visit I would say it is terrible - the bartender was absolutely miserable and looked like she did not want to be bothered. But having been here before I know this is not always the case and the other staff are normally very friendly. Overall, it is a nice enough place, but not as cozy and beautiful as the rest of the wineries out here on the North Fork. read more

I was searching for a vineyard out East to celebrate my birthday weekend. I'm not a wine aficionado so the alpacas definitely swayed my decision, actually it was the deciding factor. Ha! Jason's is located in Jamesport, surrounded by lots of other vineyards and farm stands. It's amazing how once you are deep out East, it feels like you are in a whole other state. There wasn't much traffic getting there and they are not far from the Tanger Riverhead Outlets. When I went, they didn't take reservations. It was on a first come, first serve basis. I arrived around 11:30am and there were a few people there, but plenty of seating available. I of course ran to the alpacas but they were busy munching on their food and didn't have time for me. You place your order inside, they offer by the bottle, glass, or flights- standard offerings as other vineyards. I think their prices were more than fair and they give you a generous pour. I started off with the rosé, which I enjoyed. During the time I went, "Cuomo Chips" (food must be purchased with alcohol) were strictly enforced so we got a bag of sourdough pretzels. I actually wished they had more food offerings. A hour or so in, we actually left to go find real food and to sober up. I did return after having lunch elsewhere and by that time they had live music, which was really nice. This time I got the flight, my favorite was the Golden Fleece. The other wines weren't memorable. Again, I'm not a Master Sommelier by any means, but the general consensus amongst my friends was that the red wines were not great. The vines weren't grown in yet so I couldn't get my basic B picture there so I'll definitely be back this summer! After I posted pics of the alpacas, I know about 20 or so people who have gone. Visited in July 2024 and was informed that dogs can no longer go inside the winery nor even on the deck of the winery. Found that very strange given that my family, including our dog, have visited Jason's Vineyard many times over the years and that was not the policy. Weird. I love Jason's because it's not as far. It's a nice size. Beautiful views, sweet animals and delicious wine. My favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc it was dry and crisp with floral overtones. Came here with friends yesterday around 12:30 and we brought food to picnic ... however it was raining so we went to eat our lunch under the covered patio... but the security guy told us we could not eat there because it was reserved. OK, we understood that but the people who reserved the spot arrived around 2 PM! Why couldn't he give us the option to eat there and then move to their patio?? Jason's was a pleasant find on an early Saturday afternoon drive. There's a spacious outdoor and patio area to enjoy one Jason's selections. We enjoyed the Malbec which was excellent. There are also sampling flights and snacks available as well. Also, you can bring you own lunch and pair it with any of Jasons selections.. There is also local draft beer available. $15 for 4 wine flight! Pet friendly! Tried their bubbly rose, sauvignon blanc, cab sauv and meritage. Wasn't too fond of their cab sauv, but liked the heavier taste of the meritage. Bubbly rose was great for the hot weather. Sauvignon blanc was good too. We came around 11am on a Saturday so they had live music and we were able to get a picnic table with an umbrella. They have covered patio seating as well, but most of the patrons with dogs sat underneath the sun sail. As for food, they have snacks more than anything, so if you're looking to have lunch, they allow you to bring your own - just no coolers allowed. They also have alpacas here which was awesome and kept my little girl occupied. She loved watching them eat and stroll around. read more

There are plenty of vineyards to choose from on the east end. All very special, and mostly all have something special, and Jason's one of my favorites. We've been coming here for a few years, and I think the wine has been getting better and better. Jason's is very friendly, accommodating, and easily located when your on the east end. Not coming here again -- Long time patrons. They are only interested in bridal parties. Everyone else, if you bring your own food, relegated to the yard without shade, next to the petting zoo, surrounded by people who cannot leave the dogs behind, and inadequate seating on rickety picnic tables.  Then you have to walk your cooler back to the car. Didn't mind the overpriced wine and food we did purchase.  They do need to make money, but not at the expense of losing customers and word of mouth. The animals at this winery are sick and need to be reported. One of the sheep had an open wound and was rubbing it on the gate right infront of us almost asking for help. When we made a comment about reporting it, this random women who seemed on drugs came over and said " that's big Pappi we take care of him. He sleeps in my bed sometimes. We can't wrap the wound cause of the heat but don't worry we got him." What? They seem lethargic like another review mentioned and don't see much grass inside the pen themself for them to eat. read more

We make sure Jason's is our first stop on our way for a winery day. We usually spot in for a glass of wine to enjoy on their deck and stock up on of their local cheese's to bring with us for the afternoon. Their wine is very good and we enjoy everyone who works their. They do provide paper good as in knives, napkins, and plates but we do recommend to bring your own crackers and snacks as it does get price when your 'our east'.
