Being a first time mom it was important for me to interview the Pediatrician ahead of time to make sure I felt comfortable. Dr. Weibel was more than willing to meet with me and took the time to answer all of my questions. I have found her to be very personable and likable. She is great with my daughter. There are a few other Pediatricians in this practice and was seen by Dr. Vilushis post delivery so they do rotate for the hospital call. I find their staff has been professional and I haven't had a long wait time when I arrive for my appointment.

When we were late for our first few appointments (we were new parents, had little sleep, and were getting used to the idea that it takes an hour to get out of the house) they didn't make us feel bad, or feel that we were wasting their time- they were understanding. I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding, but they were supportive. I broke down several times in their office, crying hysterically, and the nursing staff were all kind and supportive, giving me words of encouragement. The doctors are very down to earth, and just care that your baby is doing well- doesn't matter how fast or slow they are progressing, and they don't make you panicked, telling you what your baby should or should not be doing at any point. They just tell you how great you're doing/how great your kid is doing- they are very encouraging. The BEST thing about them is they will NOT take you if you refuse to vaccinate your child! Otherwise, they will take any insurance, etc- they just want to make sure the children that go to their office are safe. I cannot say what a relief that was to see that policy. Also, they have a 'sick' and 'healthy' section of the waiting room, so no germs are crossed over- same for the rooms. The whole office is separated in two- with the right side for the sick, and the left side for the healthy. I just adore these doctors.

My daughter had a blood test in office and we got a message at 3am that she needed to go to the ER. I couldn't even get a call, apparently parents are supposed to check their portal in the middle of the night for these notifications. We took her to the ER to be tested and everything was fine. Later in the week we get a message that the other test came back with concern (found out via message again, not a phone call) and she needed to be tested again at the hospital. We took her to get her lab work done and UPMC Northwest messed up the vile that was supposed to be sent in. We took her back to UPMC Northwest to have the blood drawn again, the test came back that everything was fine. Once again we found out because of a message and not a phone call. Because of the incompetence of this doctors office my daughter went through unnecessary testing, bruising from bloodwork and we have unnecessary bills. Avoid this office at all costs, their "nurses" are not actually nurses and are unable to do basic tasks, like measure the circumference of a baby's head. It's unfortunate that this office has become so unreliable and incompetent compared to what it was when Dr. Hamm was there.

Instead of following medicine and science they go by their own views, beliefs, and opinions. Very unprofessional and would never recommend anyone to use this office.
