He has sensitive skin, dandruff, and doesn't clean his back so I took him to get groomed. They are very professional! They got him bathed, brushed out, and his claws trimmed up with no problem. My girls aren't special needs really, but it was good to know that if anything happened, Jane was equipped to make the right call. I am sure we were a bundle of nerves leaving our elderly dogs with someone on the fly like that, but my girls were well cared for, and neighbors all said Jane was at my house like clock work. We have a fenced in yard, so my dogs didn't have to be walked, and she even went the extra mile and took them for a walk anyway! It is a very toxic environment and I would not recommend this to anyone. They left me unemployed for a month because I left a great job for them as they gave me a good offer. I guess the horrible stories I've heard from people are true!! They also let assistants perform euthanasia's, which is incredibly illegal! Only a licensed veterinarian may do so, or a licensed vet tech with the proper certification under the DIRECT supervision of a veterinarian! They will also perform this via intracardiac route, which as outlined by the AVMA should only be done to animals under sedation or anesthesia. They would be very much conscious! Again, the ASSISTANT would be doing this and sometimes have to do it at least 3 times!! It's so appalling. Euthanasia is a privilege as we can use it to alleviate suffering. It's a very sad practice, but it should only be fulfilled with respect and not pure ignorance. Intracardiac = injection into the heart = a lot of pain!!
